  1. Chapter 1 5/5 Jeigan more or less wins the entire map, and the others just play clean up duty and get a few kills each. A silver lance hit from Jeigan and some sword swings from Kain and Abel take the boss down in 3 turns. Marth ignores the villages and is able to capture without stopping Chapter 2 4/9 Barts hogs the starting fort to take down most of the enemies on the right while Saji mostly watches. Jeigan, Abel, Kain, Marth (from now on referred to as the core four), and weaponless Sheeda rush to the left. There are kind of a lot of enemies there, so I have Sheeda sponge a few hits before recruiting Kashim to keep my guys in better shape, setting them up for some kills while still being in boss range. Marth gets the money this time since he doesn't have to walk backwards to get it. My dudes defeat the boss in what was pretty much a repeat of the last boss fight and Marth captures the HQ. Chapter 3 5/14 Kashim and the core four go to the left and pretty much stroll casually through all of the easy enemies. On the other front, Sheeda recruits Navarre for that shiny Killer Sword while Julian and Barts kill a few dudes. Yet again, the boss eats silver lance a few sword hits and Marth captures unhindered. Chapter 4 6/20 Julian, Barts, and Saji go all over the place to kill the scattered enemies on the right. Julian kills a thief while Barts takes down a few fighters, and then the two and Saji team up to kill the leftover fighters and hunters. Meanwhile, the core four move towards the base with Kashim helping out again. The social knights are simply enough, but the horsemen get in the way a bit since they are rather tough to double at this point. Kain and Abel beat up on the leftovers since the knightkiller boss destroys them, so Steel Sword Jeigan has to do the dirty work. Jeigan does not take any effective damage from the boss (?) so he easily lasts a couple rounds and does plenty of damage for Kashim to finish off easily. Chapter 5 4/24 The core four go straight to the base, while the others can't really catch up and just take care of the right side and a few thieves. Kain and Abel cut through the archers like paper and don't even have much trouble with the armor knights because of Kain's good strength and Abel's armorkiller. Marth rapiers some stuff, but eats a few lance hits and thief attacks and just barely survives. Kain, Abel, and Jeigan work their usual magic (but with an armorkiller this time!) against the armor knight on the right. The boss drops a silver lance I would have liked, but he's a little harder to take down so I ignore him. Sheeda buys some Steel Swords real quick so I can throw away my iron lances before Marth sneaks right next to the boss and captures the right fort for the win. 2. True, 'specially since they generally heal the same amount of HP. On the other hand, having to keep vulneraries in the FE1 inventory system makes me want to throw up at times.
  3. George. I don't intend to recruit him, but I think Polter could use a healer.
  4. Augh, I really want to like this guy (awesome mug!), but he just comes off as worthless. His bases are okay enough, but his growths alone are far from enough to carry him. Gold knight will help him a little, but that's a long ways off with his meh killing ability and the class's bases still pale in comparison to Demon Fighters and Barons by a longshot. Oh, and he is stuck with 1 resistance, making him unable to take much damage from one of the few types of enemies he easily doubles and also is prone to be gained up on by witches. I love me some paladins, but Clerbe just has a slew of problems compared to Zeke and Matilda for basically no reason and unlike others can not take advantage of a class that can hide his mediocre stats. Overall, I give Clerbe a 4/10 (with bias). He is worthy filler for a few maps after he joins, but his long term prospects are unimpressive even as a Gold Knight. His awesome move is wasted on him.
  5. Kashim the muscleman. Heh, I wouldn't have thought George would be the last bow user drafted...
  6. I pick Est. (She's not on the list though? I don't think she's been drafted yet.)
  7. I think doors are the biggest obstacle remaining, so I'll pick Julian.
  8. Aw man, there goes my planned Partia user. :( Uh, Wendell is taken so you've still got a pick.
  9. I'll take Minerva for some early dragon knight action.
  10. I am actually a huge fan of this series. I played Power Pro Kun Pocket 3 about 10 years ago and was hooked (until I lost it.) MLB Power Pros rekindled my interest and since then I've gotten the first 8 in the series and beaten most of them. (I didn't really like 6. :/) Anyway, English information for these games is unfortunately pretty difficult to come by. Your best bet would be to find some English-speaking fans and just message them directly. (Not sure where you would find them.) Another option is Googling the names in Japanese and trying to make sense out of the Google Translate Engrish. I don't know much Japanese myself, but I could probably answer basic information and most gameplay questions. (A lot of trial and error type stuff.) It's really a shame there haven't been any more English releases or even any translation patches for games in the series. At least the core game is still pretty enjoyable in spite all of that. (Go Swallows!)
  11. ITT Mekkah mixes up the names of Robin and Cliff, driving people crazy. Hilarity ensues. Anyway, Cliff has the highest upside of the early non-Alm units easily, if not one of the highest in the game. His strength isn't fantastic, but it is good enough with promotion gains in mind and he can easily be any class you want. Still, he is a crappy villager the early moments of the game and his growths do not really work their magic until at least several levels. Eventually though, his combination of speed and defense will make him one of your go to guys mid-late game. Also, gotta love Excalibur and its ability to actually hit enemies on terrain! 8.5/10 (0.5 bias)
  12. Oh my god Kain isn't taken yet. Okay, I'll complete the classic social knight duo for my team.
  13. Thankfully for Robin, you're only as bad as your class's base stats. Obviously he sucks as a villager, but that's not for very long anyways. As a soldier, Robin will still get the automatic awesome attack and defense that comes with the knight and baron classes, or as an archer can always ping some annoying things at a safe distance. As a mage and mercenary, he could spam thundersword or excalibur somewhat decently, but his durability will get in the way a bit. 10% str and def is so so so horrible, but he can do a lot of different things not very well and can probably contribute somehow. 4.5/10
  14. Like $400 against. Besides Ogma and perhaps Navarre, none of them are all that RAD to be honest. If anyone wants to pick Caesar #4 though I won't try and stop them.
  15. They're gone as long as she is dismounted. It's worth noting that characters can still cap their stats to 20 when they are unmounted. But, once their mounted stats reach 20 they will no longer be able to increase their unmounted stats when leveling up mounted iirc. Oh hah, didn't know about the again staff being so high. I mean, the legendary weapons are like 12, after all, which is absurdly low for most of the cast not named Doga. Kain can use Gradius at level 9/0 bwahahahaha.
  16. 1. Yes, 20 for every non-HP stat. The 20 weapon level is pointless, but it's possible... 2. Yes, 52. 3. Yes, Marth can not promote. 4. Nah, unmounted promoted units lose their mounted promotion bonuses. Try dismounting Jeigan...he's pretty laughable on foot. 5. Like HP gains, they are raised to the promoted class's base if they are lower, otherwise they do not rise. 6. Yes, the level cap is 20 before and after like usual. Oh, and here, have a Doga shat sheet. Doga.html I have like 16 of these for Book 1 if that's of any help...
  17. I like using him a lot for his awesome class and ability to not die, but sometimes I have to pretend Sain and Kent don't exist. His bases are good enough that his 30% str/spd is bearable, if lacking in breathing room for RNG screwage. A Lowen below average in both strength and speed is pretty miserable...
  18. Can't say much about his personality, but I thought he always held up pretty decently in all his games. People may cry, "can't promote!", but that was barely noteworthy in FE1, not that unusual in FE3, and not terrible in 11/12 because he still got 10 more levels even though he lacked a promotion boost. His growths and rapier probably would make him worthwhile even if he wasn't required to deploy. Not to mention, his inexplicable thief utility...
