  1. ##Vote: Frank Lucas I think I made my reasons clear.
  2. Ok, so here are the two people I find the most scummy, not counting flaming cause I'm hoping to have more than one post to base a read off of for him soon. Fail: Pretty obvious why I have an issue with him, has been stated by multiple people don't feel the need to get more into that right now. Frank: So, here's what we've got from Frank. Jumps in with an RVS. Then jumps on the Invisible wagon for attitude (how is attitude scummy? it's like emotion, a null tell), his interactions with Pasadena, not scumhunting (so when you said it looked like he was trying to get Pasadena lynched instead of himself... that's not scum hunting?), and then once again Invisible's attitude towards others which is still not scummy. So he basically dislikes Invisible for not scum hunting but also for arguing with Pasedena and trying to get the lynch onto Pasadena. Which is scum hunting in a way. ... Sure. Oh and he also claims a secondary scum read on Flaming who was another person who got semi-wagoned there. Ok. He then continues on to say that Invisible needs to scum hunt and stop focusing on the people who voted him. But where is Brian's scum hunting? He's just tunneling away on other people, not even mentioning them except for a one liner maybe unless they address him. Then we start off on D2, he goes back and looks at SM interactions. Not a bad idea, though he forgets to take into account that SM was pretty obvi-townie at that point and was a fairly safe kill. So he then comes, looks at the people SM was suspicious of and then proceeds to ignore half of them by handwaving their cases away as either something he doesn't know anything about (Fail) or that he'd already explained (one line about Flaming was apparently enough explaining). Part of the point of looking at who SM was on to should have then been looking into his cases on people and trying to figure out what you thought about them. Seems pretty halfhearted to me. Randomly mentions Moeblobs as someone he needs to look into more and then votes Morm because of his Invisible vote and then not voting other people. Which is the exact case Brian had been pushing on Morm the previous day. Interesting. Comments that the Moeblobs/Pas argument is impossible to understand and then claims he's going back to scumhunting. By which he means just responding to Morm. So basically doing what he accused Invisible of doing the previous day. His final post is answering Pocket and then answering Morm and still has no new scumhunting information. Seems odd to me. This is where my vote will be at the start of the next day phase.
  3. Or it could be that I have a life that's kinda hit me in the face over the last few days. I have not been really around and in a position to post really at all the last day or so. I will try and get up a post later, but I can't promise anything.
  4. Ugh, this fighting is going to get us no where. Moeblobs, your statement that no one else was having an issue with your posting style is incorrect. If you had read my posts, you would notice that I had in fact asked you to tone down your RP some. In addition, I have been finding it very hard to read both your and Pasedena's posts. They both reek of rudeness and hostility, whether it was meant or not. You currently are doing a classic example of tunneling. Consider backing of Pasedena for now and letting that dust settle. Take a look at other people and then come back and see how things lie with Pas.
  5. Very well then. Until I see a useful content post from Flaming, I will be keeping my vote there while building up my case files on other people. Other people I'd enjoy hearing more content from includes Fail.
  6. Ah, your deduction here that your vote on Invisible was better than Pasadena's would be a strong point if it wasn't for the fact that your so called "scum" here was in fact not at all scum. The fact that Pasadena started to doubt the Invisible wagon was in fact some valid observation on his part that the wagon was completely opportunistic and seemed fishy. There was a reason I did not vote for Invisible and it is largely due to the wagon on him towards the end. I am not sure why you are so proud of your lynch when all of your conclusions were wrong. If you are going to use your strong case on someone as a reason as to why you are not scum, perhaps it would be better if they were in fact scum. I see nothing in what you have said that has shown any indication that you have realized you were wrong. Even now, you use your case on Invisible as if it is something you should be proud of. In fact it is not. Do not be proud of your wrong deductions. All they have done is caused us to be behind. In addition, I would greatly appreciate it as well if you would drop your third person. It is quite distracting and serves simply to confuse the tone of your posts. Now, moving on to my vote, ##Vote: Flaming Hot @Mod: Is Flaming still afk with reason? I am keeping this here until I have heard from Flaming or I have confirmation from that mod that Flaming is afk with valid reasoning. Or I suppose I could switch it if my observations turn up clues that point towards someone else.
  7. Invisible (4) - Moeblobs With Hats, Frank Lucas, Pasadena, Pocket Ace Flaming Hot (3) - enigma, Space Marine, Bored Bored (2) - Failbaddon, Flaming Hot Moeblobs With Hats (1) - Invisible Mormegil (1) - Brian Kibler Fail (1) - Mormegil Not Voting: Paperclip, Senbonzakura<br style="color: rgb(209, 87, 5); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(104, 21, 17);"> I'm not sure exactly how I'm suddenly one of the people most likely to be lynched when the only two people who still consider me scummy enough to vote are the person who is afk and the person who has literally said one thing on someone other than me.
  8. Speaking of vote parking... So lets see. Fail's justification is that it's a gut read and that I padded my response by not using quote tags? How is me not using quote tags making it look any longer? It's maybe a little less clear who is talking where, but no one else seemed to have a problem with that. I did it like I did because it allowed me to better respond to each point individually while preventing any confusion as to which part I was responding to. This is one of the worst reasons I've seen for keeping a vote on someone. If you're keeping a vote on me because you still have a gut read on me fine, but don't add other reasons that aren't actually scummy to make your argument sound better. While you're at it, care to comment on other people? The majority of your posts have been "I'm voting/keeping my vote on Bored for [insert reason here]" You literally only have one other post that's not RVS that even mentions anyone else and that's very vague non-defined posts that don't really give insight into your thoughts.
  9. As for other reads, Pasadena I read as town largely because of the emotions I'm reading and the way that he dealt with his Invisible vote. He acknowledged that his judgement was possibly cloudy and as such backed off until he could be sure he was making a decision he was ok with. He could have easily just stayed on Invisible and probably received little to no negative attention for it. This, combined with the way he's been interacting with others is giving me a town vibe from him. ##Unvote I'm actually quite happy with Space Marine right now. In fact, I think he might be on to something with Flaming. Flaming jumped on my bandwagon super late with completely rehased reasons that had already been dealt with multiple times at that point. To me, it looks like he was just looking at who had been voted for and hopped on what he hoped was a safe wagon. That, combined with his utter misrepresentation of my reactions to people's votes on me makes me quite happy to put my vote here. ##Vote:Flaming Hot
  10. Ok, lets address some points from Fail one at a time, shall we? (No, this is not a question I expect people to answer Fail. It is in fact rhetorical. I realize that by pointing this out you may accuse me of shaming people more, but ah well) "given that Bored sort of flipped out and spawned walls and walls of words" Right. Please give an instance of me "flipping out". My posting of walls is in fact not me flipping out, but me writing posts that I've thought through and processed and then decided to post. It is not me flipping out. There isn't the negative emotion in them that is implied by that term. So please either come up with evidence of me flipping out, or come up with better wording. I'm going to keep my vote on Bored for a few reasons: -They invoked the "If I was scum" argument. This a shitty argument and anyone who uses it should be summarily executed by being forced to listen to "Friday" on endless repeat Mmmm. Now, I'm going to ask a question. Why is this any less of a shitty argument than you saying that something I've said is a shitty argument and I should be lynched for it without giving reasons behind it? Now, if I had simply said "if I was scum I would do this but I didn't so I'm not scum" and nothing else, I might see where you're coming from. But, it was merely a piece in my argument. Therefore, you taking out only this and ignoring everything else I said makes me think that you're just lazy and not reading my posts fully. .-They're like an e-squid in the sense that when they're threatened, they reflexively launches a cloud of ink, or in this case walls of text, to confuse their predators/accusers. I see very little substance in their posts aside from condescending remarks, question marks, and a shambling defense. The first point leads to.. I write walls of text because those walls of text are important. They are not meant to confuse, they are not meant to cloud. They are meant to give my thoughts and explain why I did what I did. If you see very little substance, perhaps you should reread them. .-They enjoy making condescending remarks and assumptions about what scum does. Comments such as "Think about it logically", and " Learn to observe people, not just see." , are generally aimed to shame people out of voting for someone, whereas the Chaos-approved way of doing that is by them making a reasonable case so-as to why they aren't scum, which I feel they haven't done. The second part goes hand-in hand with the stop using that useless Horus's "If I was scum" argument. Anything that I say that is similar to those two quotes that you said are simply me roleplaying someone else and as such can be ignored. I thought I had mentioned that early on, but now see that I was remiss in doing so. For this I apologize. I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings and would feel horrible if I did. Never once did I intend those comments to switch someone's opinions, they were simply flavor. -Their vote on Space Marine was incredibly weak given that at the time SM voted it was still not yet end of RVS. Voting SM because they're loyalist scum is acceptable. Voting SM because they may switch their vote in the future is not, and it appears to this wide-eyed wanderer warrior that it is a poor excuse for an OMGUS vote. Ah. Well. It would have been a weak vote if in fact SM had been voting in RVS. But instead, he placed a serious vote down on me. As such, I took it as if we were out of RVS since the vote seemed completely serious to me. Therefore, this statement is completely and utterly useless and false. -By Khorne, stop abusing that damn question mark key. By spamming questions you're forcing other players to either intentionally waste their time in answering them all, or risk being called out for ignoring what they may believe is a rhetorical question. Not helpful play. Every question I ask that is not rhetorical has a reason. Either suck it up and deal with it or continue complaining, but I'm not going to stop asking what I feel are important questions.
  11. Ah, yes, Fail. Well, at that point in time, I had three votes on me, all in fairly quick succession. However, at that point in time it still would not be likely to be considered a wagon. Fail, while he may have had very weak reasoning, was what pushed it over the edge into a band wagon. Now, typically, scum will enjoy hoping onto potential band wagons early but also later after the band wagon has created steam. If, instead, they are hoping on right in the middle, they are far more likely to become the object of suspicion then if they add to the vote to allow for a lynch or start off the voting on people. Thus, if scum is playing smart, they will try to avoid the area that is viewed as being the start of the bandwagon. Thus, at least for now, I do not view Fail with large suspicion.
  12. "tldr reader's digest version please " No. Read it yourself. I put effort into that post and if you can't be bothered to read it then maybe you shouldn't be playing.
  13. "I feel that he's ignoring why people are voting him and just simplifying it to "people voting me are scum". Also, I don't like that he said, "I think the first two people voting me are scum for something that's not scummy" because by his own admission we can't ALL be scum voting him, and feels like he is just throwing around accusations. " I am not ignoring why people are voting me. They're voting me for not putting a vote down in RVS and for "being useless". I also specifically did not say that everyone that is voting me is scum. Instead, I looked into how each person voted me and stated why I thought some of them were scummy. If you're not even going to bother to actually read what I'm saying, why should I bother to write this at all? I said I thought that it was more likely that one of the first two people voting me are scum because I was a safe person to vote seriously at that point in time. Then, looking into their posts, I made a decision of which of those two people I thought was more likely to be scum and voted them. As for being intentionally scummy, no. I'm not. I did something that I do not view as scummy at all. I figured that I'd get maybe one or two comments on it and that's it. I did not expect to get 5 votes within two hours. If I had realized the extent to which what I was doing would cause ruckus, I likely would not have done it since I do not want to be cluttering up people's reads with scum reads. But, I ask once again, which is harder: dropping down a vote with one sentence explanation and getting no negative attention for it or doing something that I view as perfectly valid but am aware could possible get a few negative points towards me? Scum are trying to blend in. They want to appear to be one of us. Their perfect world is when we are at each others throats and they can just pick us off one by one. But instead I do something that stood out. Why would I do that if I were scum? Think about it logically. How would you suggest we progress in a game if we did not have RVS (or something similar)? What do you have to gain for not voting at any point, ever? Why did you vote Space Marines over me, if you think I might be scum? Better yet, why did you vote for him while doing the exact same thing yourself? (You said you could have voted me, but decided to vote someone else instead.) -Well, discussion is one way. RVS rarely gets anything useful from the votes. What's useful about it is the interactions. I can get interactions from people without a vote and most people tend to treat RVS as a joke since it really is most of the time. -What do I have to lose by not voting at this point in the game? I had no facts to base my vote off of. My vote and my voice are my two weapons in this game. One of those is much more deadly and I will not treat it lightly. When I vote someone, it's a serious thing. I see no reason in wasting one of my few weapons for a joke that other people seem to view as the be all end all. -I am not sure if you are scum. That's why I didn't vote for you. I'm honestly not sure how to read you. You're a mystery I have yet to solve. Add on to that the fact that you already had plenty of votes and it results in voting you being both boring and largely useless. Voting Space Marines who I view as scummy allows me to use my weapon seriously and perhaps usefully. For instance, did anyone else notice that after I voted for him, Space Marines was reading the thread and then disappeared without defending himself? I find that a bit suspicious. However, I do have something of a read on you, but I'm not sure how it's going to swing. Thus I mentioned it because hiding our thoughts from each other will only allow the mafia to mess with us more. So I mentioned my read on you, but it was not as solid as the one I had on SM and as such voted him over you. But come. Lets look at this logically. There are 14 people in the game. At any point in time, there have been 5 people voting for me. I know that I am town, which means there is a greater than 1/3 chance that at least one of the people voting me was scum. I find it likely that only one of them was scum as if they are playing logically, they will avoid band wagoning together, at least at first. However, that is assuming that the mafia is playing smart, which can be a dangerous assumption to make at times if it causes you to eliminate people completely. Thus, I went with my instincts as to who was slightly more likely to be scum.
  14. I am curious as to how making one post, waiting for a bit, and then making a detailed post about people's reactions and putting a vote down is doing nothing. Perhaps you need a dictionary to figure out the definition of nothing? I react to points made to me because they were points and if I ignored them people would get mad at me.
  15. I'm not trying to purposely look scummy, that would be a waste of my time. But, I also had no reason to lay down a vote. That was my point. It would have been less effort to put down a useless vote that would have gotten no reactions than to make a post like I did which did get reactions that I was looking for.
  16. Ah, yes, now lets see what we have. I make a post, poking at one person in response to a vote they made on me. It was clearly not going to be much of a defense as the reasons for the vote were simply random. Thus, I felt no real reason to defend myself. After all, if I had, it would have simply been empty words for an empty case. Simple. Next, I do not participate in RVS. Because, well, there was nothing for me to work on. Now, I ask you this. What is the point of putting down an empty vote when there are plenty of votes out there already? Instead, I was content to sit back and observe. And look what popped up. 4 votes on me within almost an hour. All for not placing a vote and some of them for my style of posting. Now, looking at this case logically, I see that this game only has three scum. So it is in fact impossible for all four of these people on my bandwagon to be scum. And even if there were four scum, I find it highly unlikely that they would all be on my wagon. No, they're smarter than that. However, it is interesting to look at the voting patterns. Two people come in and vote me 6 minutes. 5 minutes later, Invisible comes in and says that he's content leaving his vote where it is. For this case, we can count that as being a third vote on me, since it essentially is due to his first vote being completely random. Invisible then says that I threatened him (please, I wouldn't waste my time. Saying that I'm going to keep an eye on you isn't a threat when I'm going to keep an eye on everyone) but then essentially says that I'm useless and need to go. Now, how is that any less of a threat than what I said? Hmm? And then the kicker, Fail there comes in and says that since I have no vote down, I have no sense and no place in this game. Now, what can we learn from this? Well, I actually find it unlikely that Fail is scum. Instead, I find it likely that one of the first two people to vote me are scum. After all, that allows them to come in and appear to be contributing while really they're voting someone for something that isn't scummy at all. Let me ask you this. If I were scum, which would be better for me? To come in and toss a random vote down with a few words behind it, or to instead make a post that doesn't have a vote in it when I have the full knowledge that not voting in RVS is considered scummy for some reason? As for Invisible, I'm still not sure on him, but even if he is scum, for right now he has enough votes on him. As such, I'm going to ##Vote:Space Marine You vote me for a weak reason which you then weaken even further by saying that you could easily switch your vote to Invisible. Learn to observe people, not just see.
  17. Hmm... Invisible. I see. Trying to hide behind the mask of being invisible, but it's clear to me that this is all an attempt to cover the childhood you wish you could forget. No one pays attention to the Invisible, so why not choose that mask. Interesting, I shall be keeping an eye on this one. As for the others, these pointless accusations are going to get you no where. You all look, but you don't observe. Call me when you have something more interesting.
  18. Paperclip: Hmm... I see an overeager help client that desires to be used again so much that he'll join a case like this even though his contributions will likely be as useless as the services he offers in Word. Just do everyone a favor and stay out of my way on this case.
  19. Ugh, lets get this over with. Hopefully it will be able to keep my attention for slightly longer than the last case.
  20. I didn't mean to imply that, but the possibility that he is not scum and the MYLO warning was true does exist, so we do have the potential of losing because of a mislynch today. That possibility does not exist if we lynch you or no-lynch, but a no-lynch is entirely unproductive to us as it simply causes us to lose Obama.
  21. hi guys i fail posting forever The fact that we're so eager to lynch people we know is very alarming, especially on a day that's mylo and on someone we don't even have a guilty on, and there's a very obvious alternative. No lynching is also a poor option because it just means we lose Obama, so I point to the logical vote of Petrichor. Yes, I wasn't feeling this yesterday, but the other people I had as scumreads have already flipped/scanned town, so that narrows down our options fmpov. I don't like the freakout on reread either. It feels very contrived and a weak reason to not be lynched. I can see why you'd want to lynch me, or even Doormat for similar reasons, but I'd rather not see us lose because of a mislynch like this which can still happen! Meanwhile a Petrichor lynch gives us a guaranteed day, whereas there's no such guarantee with lynching me. So not exactly the most popular vote here, but ##Vote Petrichor. I feel like this is our best shot at winning.
  22. Hey again everyone it's me and I suck at posting Cop report is interesting, I suppose. I wouldn't be completely opposed to lynching Petrichor because of raw numbers, but I don't think he's number 1 priority because he doesn't seem particularly scummy to me otherwise, and I'd rather see someone who I feel more confident about being scum. Oser, on the other hand, has some class A bullshit. I'm not going to repeat everyone a million times, but in a game where you know Cop reports can be wrong, just defaulting to it on the basis of numbers without really analyzing play seemed like a pretty bad thing to do. It's certainly an option, but his most recent post feels like hardcore misrepping. So I feel that a ##Vote Oscerckalb is appropriate. If we were to not lynch either Oser or Petrichor today, I guess a Cristina vote would probably be a good alternative simply because of the Aniki kill. I also feel like asking about the 2 Death Millers hints to this possibility even more. Still, I think the other two are better possibilities, at least for the time being.
  23. Sorry to keep you waiting, everyone. First of all I think the cop claim was actually a pretty good move for us as it guarantees a report and makes it very likely we'll get at least a few more rather than dumb shit happening like cop dying N1, to go over that. Kinda makes people arguing against it look weird, imo, specifically early doormat posts because they were arguing for D2 rather than D1 even though that would change basically nothing except put the cop at risk N1, and Marlowe is similar but much worse, and his vote is terrible. ##Vote Marlowe The last few pages feels a lot like town infighting because activity is atrocious (no thanks to me; again, I apologize), with the exclusion of a slight scumread on Doormat, but that's a lot lesser than it was as compared to earlier pages. Petrichor I'm closer to neutral on, but Moriarty and Aniki seem pretty town. That's all I can do for now. I guess this was a bit brief, but better something than nothing especially at this point. I'll be reading and I'll attempt to make another post as soon as possible, but unfortunately I can't promise anything right now.
  24. I confirmed in my role PM but I'll do so here as well
