I refuse to recognize it as a sandwich, even if it defies all current logic and sciences.

It's not exactly a smart move to only make RDR2 the equivalent to GTA Online. Despite the fact that GTA Online is financially successful, and it's more or less guaranteed to be in RDR2 (similar to the way it is in GTAV with a story, and the the online mode is what they'll focus on), the way GTA Online is currently perceived is not good, especially when you consider the recent and/or ongoing controversies on the PC version. Rockstar would be treading on very thin ice with that, but uhh I think I'm just rambling about something that's not even happening. Seems like it's possible for the game to have multiple protagonists though since the description says the game is about "the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang." I'd love to see them expand upon the multiple main characters system they had in GTAV, because there wasn't too much to it in the game, so it would be interesting if they added additional functionality/dynamics. I see a lot of people complaining about the characters being assholes and whatnot, but I think they forget that they are a gang, and we can't just expect another John Marston. I'll wait until there's more information about them before making my judgement, but Rockstar's been good at writing characters for a while now, so we could be fairly confident in that. edit: actually it's likely that John may show up at the very end of the game or something, or maybe he'll join up somewhere in the middle too. it's kind of a missed opportunity to not explore that part of John even though I'd rather they not use it as a crutch, but to fill in the blanks or something. maybe it ruins the ambiguity of his past in the first one, but it would be interesting.

Thought it was already confirmed to be a prequel to the first game, but I suppose I might have been wrong there. I do remember people saying it wouldn't be viable to make a game set after the first one, since it was about the end of that era, so it has to take place before it at any rate. Anyway, yeah it's looking to be another fantastic experience. The environments look gorgeous, the aesthetic is on point, and since it's Rockstar, you can be confident this is how it will look. I'm not sure if it will reach the heights of the first RDR, because it's so solidified as a masterpiece to me, but Rockstar's surprised me before, so I won't say it's impossible. Also a little worried about their recent shift in business philosophy, even though I know they're committed to providing a single-player experience firstly. Whatever, I'm excited.

I find myself falling in love with more post-metal and blackgaze acts like Cult of Luna, Boris, Jesu, and Deafheaven usually, but Between the Buried & Me, Opeth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, and the new Chelsea Wofle albums (lol) are all essential too. I dig a lot of other bands involved with prog metal, death metal, black metal but more in the vein of Leviathan, Blut Aus Nord, or Negura Bunget, drone/doom metal, and probably some djent and metalcore, but all the metal sub-genres all something interesting to offer, even though I've kind of dissociated with trash for the most part since the only two good Metallica albums are Ride the Lightning & Ride the Lightning (Remastered) and I only really like a few albums by Slayer/Megadeth. And even though Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and whatnot are always legendary, the born in the wrong generation culture that surrounds them anymore prevents me from liking them in a way.

MAY THE GOOD BLOOD GUIDE YOUR WAY The Fox: i remember seeing the vinyl edition of no cities to love and thinking it was really cool packaging, so since I liked this well enough, maybe I'll pick it up. vocals might take a bit getting used to, but I like the aesthetic displayed here. An Endless Sporadic: sounds like some really noodly prog stuff I'd jam to back in the day. don't get me wrong, I still have a fondness for this type of music though. it's always a fun listen. the song I shared is a bit softer than what they usually do. I guess closure in moscow is basically TMV but without the eccentric jazz/latin/funk/etc stylings and tendencies. children of nova and these guys are very closely related in terms of sound too. did one rip of the other's sound? probably not. anyway, pink lemonade is a extremely strange journey told through new-prog. featuring video game references (one song is named dinosaur boss battle, and the ending track I SWEAR IS FROM THE KATAMARI DAMACY SOUNDTRACK I KID YOU NOT), some weird disco song (?), and well other things. check it out if you miss the mars volta and can't come to terms with their breakup (even though they'll probably get back together soon). first temple's a lot less weird, and is a bit more toned-down, but it's good. they're fun. (wait hold on I know i compare these guys to TMV a lot, but they do stand on their own as a really good band, it's just that they DO happen to share a lot of similarities. i love these guys) oh yeah i forget but I swear the dude in closure in moscow channels cedric so well and it's kinda cool how close he gets sometimes. not to say he's not unique, and he doesn't do it often, but just something I notice occasionally.

wait really? as much as I like jojo memes, there's no reason to not call it ROUNDABOUT I'm sure everyone knows that Pieces Of The Sky: not too bad, and I liked her voice quite a lot. South Side Of The Sky: see thoughts in previous post. i guess one other thing is that this song has a bit darker sound to it than the rest of the album. uh, check out the rest of tiny hazard's debut ep and their debut album, greyland. i haven't listened to it yet as I only knew it was out like 3 days ago, but i'm sure it's good, i don't know. for hot chip, in our heads is fantastic disco worship and whatnot so yeah whatever listen to it or something you know how it goes.

I'll post thoughts tomorrow (don't worry this time I'll actually be there on time), but I will say south side of the sky is one of my favorite yes songs from probably my favorite yes album. even though it's not TO BE CONTINUED meme song, it's still absolutely wonderful. yes's colorful lyrics and complex musical styling make them a favorite 70's prog act.

I didn't know what to do without my DAILY MUSICAL SUBMISSION but it's all fine now High Ticket Attractions: I feel I know these guys from somewhere, but regardless it's pretty fun and catchy, and it reminds me of the cars in a way, which I have a great fondness for them. I like it. uh the rest of the rejovich is pretty good, but like I said, his lyrics are kinda bad at some parts, but he does have some cool bars here an there, and the beats on it are really fucking good, so check it out at least for the atmosphere I guess?

kira did nothing wrong Lipslap: kkb is almost too cute to not love, but I really enjoyed their debut last year. one of the few really happy and peppy bands I actually dig quite a bit. they're just so cute. good stuff. anyway, for old man gloom, I'm not versed in their works before NO and the ape of god, but i can however assure you that both of these records are some really good sluge/doom/post-metal with some weird experimental ambient tendencies and whatnot. aaron turner apparently can do no wrong, even though his work with sumac still hasn't clicked. for the soil & the sun, i'd say just go in release order, since they only have three albums and they're all pretty similar stylistically to this song, so if you liked the song, you'll like the band for sure. meridian is their best work I believe, but all of them are special so give them a listen some time.

Road: oddly enough, I was prompted to check out nick drake because of boris, because their akuma no uta album's cover is a tribute to one of his albums. nothing to do with the song, but it's interesting maybe probably sort of. good song. not much to say about it but it's nice. O Father O Satan O Sun: behemoth's alright, but this song's pretty cool. anyway, I'm not gonna write a long paragraph(s) on why you should listen to BtBaM since I'm really fucking heated right now, but I will agree with the fact that coma ecliptic is probably their best work, probably because of the broader musical stylings which for btbam, is hard to do. although, i still think colors and the parallax (1 and 2) are superb records that everyone should listen to at least once in their lives. i really have a hard time deciding a favorite with them.

pineapple on pizza is a sin Honkey Tonk Heroes: it may possibly be a dumb phrase, but it's a good song. I like the way the song shifts in the more... EXCITING section. plus I can't deny harmonica. Goalkeeper: beaten to the american football joke, but I like the nostalgic sound to the song. dreamy, but with some louder elements to prevent me from completely falling asleep. very nice. All At Once: I hate myself for not remembering the band this song reminds me so much of, but I really like the build up and the percussion is nice. fun, vibrant sound. Black Lake Niðstång: I've been meaning to check out agalloch for quite some time now and since I've finally heard something by them, I think i'll finally get on that. the blend of multiple sounds and genres turns out really nicely and the atmosphere is beautiful. perfect winter soundtrack. pales horses is really good check the band out I guess I don't wanna write about why. that's too much work. kodama was my favorite alcest release of 2016 (coincidentally being their only), so I mean give that a shot too. you should know by now that everything is good.

there's no need to play hotline miami to appreciate how good this song is, so it's all ok. All Night: ABRUPT ENDING IS JARRING, but don't worry the song is still LEGIT. I... don't remember all of coloring book, but I do remember this song. Backseat Freestyle: I PRAY MY DICK GET BIG AS THE EIFFEL TOWER uhhh, listen to the rest of the coconuts' ep (I think it's self-titled). it's pretty good. there's not much to say about it.

I now hold the record for longest song submitted please don't try to outdo me otherwise I'll have to passively aggressively submit a longer song. Unless it's a good song, then it's ok. Caravan: Ya like Jazz? good, I do too. i don't have anything intellectual to say about this song, because i'm not WELL-VERSED in the jazz world, but it's good and that's all there is. Schrei nach Liebe: thumbnail quality is not indicative of the musical contents. its pretty nice. Phaedra: quietly googles "how to smoke weed tutorial" some very goob and nice cinematic ambient space music, if a little unsettling, but that's what I like about it. i feel like tangerine dream probably plays when in space, contrary to the popular opinion of NOTHING.

it's a fatal illusion to think that any good bands will win grammy's, but baroness SHOULD HAVE WON. I mean, i kinda wanted periphery to win too, but I think baroness really should have been the one. Nil Na La: good and pretty music and I think the live atmosphere accommodates it nicely. Triumph Of A Heart: it's bjork Advice: I'll echo the GOOD FUCKING SHIT because that's about the best way to describe it. anbime is ok. Dirty Paws: i'm a pretty big fan of beneath the skin, especially the latter half of it (the last three songs are SO GOOD), but I still like this album/song decently enough. I might do a long write-up on Archive tomorrow or the next few days, but I'm too lazy to do it now. Good starting albums are Controlling Crowds (Parts I-IV, it's two albums), You All Look The Same To Me, and Lights. The rest are good, but just start with those I guess? For Balance and Composure, all of their albums are pretty good, but I think Light We Made is my favorite and also their most stand-out record.

I'm TRYING TO SUBMIT VERY FAST BUT I CAN'T DO IT ALONE Robot Stop: Nonagon Infinity was one of my favorite """rock""" albums last year and this song is so HYPE. I'm excited for whatever they're supposed to release this year. oh yeah end position was also a very good album from last year. it comes highly recommended by yours truly. it's a 30-minute heavy and industrial electronic-punk (?) assault that barely lets go, and you'll be happy it never does.

"volcano pussy melt your peter like ice" is still the best lyric of all time. Leaves of Autumn: it's pretty alright. Distant Past: while I'm not sure why they want to go to the time before this song existed, it's pretty fun and catchy and I liked the chorus quite a bit. Sonic Titan: vaguely reminiscent of arcade fire, but maybe it's the other way around. I liked the visuals, and the instrumentation is fun and theatrical. very good. I don't know if I need to go into a long explanation about what Death Grips albums you should listen to, but just know that you should listen to all of them at this point. It's Death Grips. I will say that Government Plates is a very special album, because it feels so eerie and otherworldly. It's extremely enigmatic, and I could possibly say it's their best work considering nothing else sounds like it, but that would probably be a controversial opinion. Plus I don't think it is anyway, but it's one of their best and most underrated.

Foolin' Around: I appreciate this "super rare doo-wop." i feel i somewhat relate to this song even though i can't relate to this song. don't ask how or why. Blue Hotel: but is there a complementary breakfast and wifi? but seriously the guitar tone is too fucking sick not to love plus I like the nighttime aesthetic idk it just sounds like it. TL;DR: Start with De-Loused in the Comatorium, move on to Frances the Mute and Noctourniquet, then try the rest if you like those. Or you can just listen to them in release order. It still works.

Pandora's Box: santa claus is real. i liked the song, but it kinda dragged on for some reason idk I just felt kinda bored listening past the 3 minute mark. love the chorus though. Cowboy Dan: another band in which i controversially like their later works, but I can say that this is alright. I tend to like the harsher moments more Chimachun Rain: I feel like I'd be playing this song while walking in a forest, so that's the only place i could use the pun. I enjoy this quite a bit though, and I like how the song gets kinda sinister sounding during the middle or something. (Ghost) Riders In The Sky: goddammit of course there's a fucking banjo. i feel the dude should have committed more to the screams and the instrumental doesn't hit me as hard as I think it should have too, but it's pretty decent. maybe their other stuff goes HARDER. Fucc 2.0: I feel i've seen this album cover before but then again that could mean anything. I really like her voice and the guitar is really good. it sounds somber and fun at the same time and I really like that. what's there for further listening? I will say that when I first heard Memory, it was kinda jarring because of it's slightly disconnected nature of it, but I've come to love the way it flows. I don't know, but if you liked it, you guys might like some of the other songs off of this album, even though some of it feels kinda incomplete, especially the two 1 minute tracks right in the middle that could have been full songs, but weren't. It's sad. All the full length tracks are really good though. If you're down for some noisey, post-punk aesthetic, Preoccupations fills that void.

I return from a weekish-long binge of jojo Sam Rudich: definitely up there with my favorite album titles, but I like the raw emotion displayed here. can see people not being too hot on the vocals, but I don't know, I find them kinda endearing. Hang On To Your Love: oh yeah I forgot I liked sade maybe I should listen to her more Bloody Pleasures: more theatrical, vampire aesthetic is okay by me I suppose Dreams: the cranberries are a band I kinda appreciate from a distance, but this song's alright Fucc: holy fuck do I love that guitar kinda buried under the rest of the mix, but the rest of the song is pretty good. I was pretty disappointed when I couldn't see Adjy, because their van had broken down (apparently Foxing and them can't see to find any luck with vans) on the day I went to see them, so go check out their Bandcamp and listen to the rest (not a plug, I swear I'm innocent) for more words I'm sure aren't real words and eccentric music stylings. I don't know; they're fun.

new console fire emblem got me pretty excited for 2017. Fall Back: not a fan of this, but at least it's pretty hype Who are You?: this is so cheesy i can't not love it. it's beautiful Brace For Impact: oh yeah this was that country guy I was supposed to check out because it was a really good album, and I'm down for really good albums. this is pretty good so I'll check out the rest of it ASAP since I need to listen to all the records I didn't listen to in 2016. Gramarye is a good album you should check out if you liked The Book of The Dead.
