  1. Joyeux Noël et bonne année… Frohe Weihnachten und ein glückliches neues Jahr… Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
  2. I do not know if they aren't obtainable through a thief. If a warp isn't prevented next to the Highlander⸮ and if the speed's rule is ♪ valid… IF! That space can't be targeted by warp and… the thief should be flying.
  3. In-game question about Cyas.Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 Distant_Rainbow (Topic Creator) 11 years ago bottlegnomes 11 years ago
  4. First of all, as much i can suppose, the "Shin patch" (for the japanese FE4 - Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu) was hacked using/for ZSNES, therefor it needs ZSNES to run… Consequently it runs on "zsnesw151-FuSoYa-8MB_R2" & "ZMZ v1.08 with (snes9x_next_libretro) snes9x2010_libretro". However, you can try it yourself: FE4 Shin Patch v1.61-1.94.7z -–—–- Credits: Shin (who had thanked to: Celice, Octavian, Horace, Integrity and Darros, Twilkitri/j2e Renegade)
  5. That's strange if you are on the chapter where the boss is Bran. But if the chapter's boss is Dante (and the previous chapter had the "fog of war"), then Josie and Laraya will return after/at the chapter's end.
  6. Intrigued by the numerous displays of the word "emblem", found that the japanese word for it, in this game, isn't エムブレム、エンブレム neither 紋章(もんしょう, crest, coat of arms) but 勲章(くんしょう, decoration [badge], order, medal). Maybe are already acquainted with them or don't need 'em, but Shotgunnova had published Maps for this game… Blete Map
  7. Why not with a couple of A-bombs, considering that this reminds of "Thracia 776", some FE games, FE hacks and various strategy games‽
  8. The writers are Japanese, who knows what the translators had read‽ Beside, a saving grace is given by the word "about". For a being that had lived 400 years, 5 years are 1,25 % of hers lifespan. With a caution that the source is free and isn't always reliable, in the Japanese [日本語] Wikipedia's page for "Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis" is written: エレノア・オリアト, erenoa oriato; Eleanor Olato 本作のヒロイン的存在。15歳。, honsaku no hiroin-teki sonzai. 15-sai., The heroine of this work. 15-years-old. 人魚から貰ったというお守り「オーキッドパール」を持っている。, ningyo kara moratta to iu omamori `ōkiddo‐pāru' o motte iru., She has the "Orchid Pearl", a protective amulet/charm gotten from a mermaid. ベイレヴラ, beirevura; Berevra エレノアと面識のある人魚。「オーキッドパール」は彼女から貰ったものらしい。, erenoa to menshiki no aru ningyo. `ōkiddo‐pāru' wa kanojo kara moratta monorashī., A mermaid who is acquainted with Eleanor. The "Orchid pearl" seems to have been given by her. "Google Translate" and "DeepL Translator" didn't provide a radical difference, only an aesthetical one.
  9. NECRO Risk… I want to conclude the "screenshot-map collection" for FE7 Requiem. From myself it deserves the praise for the gripping story and gameplay which I haven't found in the official FE GBA games, maybe because FE5 was the first that engaged my interest. Map had changed for Ch.6, Ch.19, Ch.21 and Ch.22. The map for Ch.23 and for the "Final chapter" had remained undone. The map for the Finale isn't viewable in the Prep and, probably, should be revealed only at the end, though TheMoniker had shown it in his LP. I'll also do the monkey business… Ch.06_2 Ch.19_2 Ch.21_2 Ch.22_2 Ch.23 Final Prof Kuzuhara, Kazumi [Lt Col, National Defense Academy of Japan (Yokosuka), 2004] wrote: ‐–—–‐ The topic (with my, probable, mess) has moved from the first page. My apologies to the “Fan Projects”' and “Serenes Forest”'s Administrators for bringing back a topic from the 6th to the front page, in a moment of impulsiveness for a personal trifle, although there were more acceptable alternatives (contacting the OP or the administrator and asking permission or simply creating a new topic), remain valid.
  10. I'm glad to know that this is serious, at least I don't have to feel anymore like an April Fool, although laughing is good for everyone. Truthfully said, I don't know of what exactly a joke hack consists… Apparently I should try couple of them.
  11. – Because of the cultural heritage, in nowadays society, the Men are the "navel" (ὀμφᾰλός, umbilicus) of the world. Couple of myths tell about the nefarious consequences for the Man who had fallen in love with a female being. Besides we can't even imagine how it could be otherwise… – Shouldn't there be also the Mermen‽ To be fair, there is the "vodník" (Hastrman, same creature as Aquarian or Nix) in Czech, Slovene and Slovak folklore; his bride is either a water maiden or a girl he had drowned or who was cursed by her parents. ––—–‐ Something like this? …
  12. ⋯on VisualBoyAdvance freezes at start with the "Nintendo®" logo scrambled… if the option "use BIOS file" (bios.gba, gba_bios.bin) is activated [while using an old software]. ⋯runs on NO$GBA v.3.02. This are intentional? – villager: "becaoming", "Mybe". A dialectal quirkiness‽ – Idalia: "Gerenal". A mockery‽ I've always found it odd that in a fantasy world, originally imagined in Japan, it's spoken a proper English.
  13. This hack works with ZSNES. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Doesn't start on "snes9x v1.56.2" and "no$sns v1.6". Runs on "zsnesw151-FuSoYa-8MB_R2" and "ZMZ v1.08 with snes9x_next_libretro (15.10.2014 core)". It needs a ROM with header (4,194,816 bytes). FE4 Shin Patch (1.94).7z ‐–—–‐ I've posted the hack's patch without asking Shin and without having a consent from him. If the author intends to let this hack to vanish into the past, then i'm sorry for my intrusion❗
  14. Thank You! I'm glad that finally a "heretic" had appeared, someone who remembered the freedom intended by the Designer put under "damnatio memoriae" by the nowadays "priesthood of Fire Emblem". ‐–—–‐ On the author's FEU page this hack is listed as: ‥
  15. Salut, merci beaucoup pour les explications! Thank you for yours time!
  16. Damn! I'm among the one percents. Although there is also a practical reason, two days ago, Zane released a new bug fix for the FE5's QoL, maybe through yours contributions. The QoLs are nice and dandy for the modern FE games. I guess that, in the end, I should play the ファイアーエムブレム トラキア776 from 1999. Begging, from the start for forgiveness, for being a pain in the butt, but I'm confused by: Lil' Manster 1.02 patch "* Name and description for the unused Acrobat skill", described with "Allows user to cross unusual terrain. May break events". The Japanese rendering of the skill's name is シナズ (shinazu). Instead of Katakana (used mostly for foreign words), the "FireEmblemWiki" uses the Hiragana transcription しなず (shinazu, immortal, undying), citing also the description しなない (shinanai, cannot die). A hidden personal skill on Eyvel and Kempf. Probably there aren't any "undying" named skills in the modern FE games, but the name doesn't match "Acrobat", I apologize if You had it hacked, tested and it had passed as being like the "Acrobat" from Awakening.
  17. ⋯sorry, you are right, it is a THEORY… Probably, not even Kaga could remember, after 20 years, the origin of the names he had invented. Thanks to the translations from "FireLizard", "Shaya", "Cirosan" and "Lil’ Manster" (with some "brain fever"…) I've acquired the impression that the whole level is like a alive confinement in a funeral pyre. I've thought that it could be similar to ヘズル, Hezul – mixed ヘズ, hezu and ホズル, hozuru (Japanese renderings of Hǫðr) then anglicized, in theory it could be done also with English terms. I don't think that Kaga was unaware of English, but for a fantasy and for originality many things were renamed. It's named creator's liberty? Right, there are no "damage zones" in Fire Emblem like the ones which are in Majin/Megami Tensei and no height differences. ——— Please, excuse a smart aleck who had come with some antique idea about a chapter title's name which had just got localized. Evidently the post should have been about quality, bugs and something useful or praiseful for Lil' Manster… Not that it matters… A Japanese rendition for Njörun, the official localization for ノヴァ, can be found through Tacitus' ネルトゥス(Nerthus)… – & 谷口幸男訳、『広島大学』(1983年12月), taniguchi yukio-yaku,“hiroshima daigaku” Alvíssmál ドラウムニョル, doraumunyoru (the dwarfish name here is for Nótt/night) 夢の織手, The Weaver of Dreams (Henry Adam Bellows' translation for draumnjörun) – elsewhere: ドラウムニョルン, doraumunyorun (draumnjörun) – in the advertisement: クレッタルムーセン ニョルン 2.0 フーディ, kurettarumūsen nyorun 2.0 fūdi; Klättermusen Njorun Hoodie
  18. "Murder Hollace"‥ What will happen if we give some credit to Syozo Kaga? I think that there were combined words from "murder holes", a mantrap, with "hearse" or with "ヘルセー( Ἕρση, Herse), herusē", herse – a synonym for "portcullis", Kempf's favorite tactic. 殺人孔、さつじんあな, satsujin ana, murder hole We have マーダーホレス, mādā horesu, a Japanese Fantasy name… ——— I was "blinded" by Kempf's tactic, "ポートカリス, Portcullis", mentioned in Ch. 11. Apparently, I had given too much credit to "Kaga, S." and to myself because now I found "ホレス, horesu" in… ⋯this will require a stretchy, unsatisfactory explanation, hopefully not too ridiculous: ホレス・ロバートソン, horesu robātoson, Horace Robertson [nicknamed "Red Robbie"] In the final days of the 2nd World War the remnants of Japanese 18th Army were encircled (through MacArthur's strategy), additionally dying from starvation and illness, they were forced to surrender to Lieutenant General Sir Horace Clement Hugh Robertson of the Australian 6th Division. I'm aware that those events took place in jungle, on hills or mountains, but the previous chapter had (in dialogues) the "Portcullis", which, so much I know, isn't a feature of "Fire Emblem". Probably this chapter could had shown an alternate Japanese history for Lt Gen Hatazō Adachi. In the end it's only a theory, it could also be a coincidence, but it doesn't matter, the chapter got already a name. Sorry to bother!
  19. Thank You, many thanks to "Lil' Manster" for all the great work with the hacking for a mirable result. I'm very grateful, it was disturbing to see (MK404 Let's play) the name of "Arendt" instead of any other for アイヒマン.
  20. Excuse me, maybe is there, although I haven't noticed it before, but shouldn't there be, after the title screen, the old‐fashioned warning, something like: "This is a Fantasy, the characters, items, places and events aren't a replication of the ones from Real world!". Among other things, shouldn't be "Tahra" changed to "The Hill of Tara" and "Dakia" to "Dacia"? Probably that, still, wasn't been revealed by “Nintendo of America”…
  21. At least in version 1.3, Edward as a Rogue could steal and with 20-up speed could steal items from some speedy units. Primarily, Edward acted as a Torch (I haven't seen, in this hack, this item; there were only two chapters with fog of war). In the FoW, Edward had a visual range of 8 squares, while others had only 3.
  22. If somebody needs more info about the Green Patch, I've gathered, in fe8midori.txt, the "readme", "skills", "update history" (sorry, only Google Translate with some minor corrections, I'm not a English speaker) and some additional info. fe8midori.zip
  23. That would be nice, if it will not break the concept of your redesign. - On the previous version of this map, I found it easy to give Layla some levels. Will the training of Layla, on Chapter 6, be manageable after the redesign of this map?
