  1. As a General, in comparison to the other General in the game Gilliam, she was VERY squishy with something like 2/3's of Gilliam's HP and defense. Similar res. Where she shined though was effectively capping Luck, Speed, and Skill. While having only slightly less attack. Basically she will likely be a physically frailer Draug. While it is apples to oranges, compared to Draug, she would have more speed, luck, res. But significantly less HP and Defense. Skill and strength are rather similar(they basically trade, Amelia slightly higher skill, Draug slightly higher strength). That said the res is questionable. She has similar res to other Generals in her game. It is just that Draug's game has much lower res on average. Basically though with higher speed and skill she would run circles around Draug(actually if the 5 speed rule applies she would nearly be able to double Draug). So I am expecting her to have 35+ speed easy. It would be funny to see a Lon'qu speed armor unit. The part that worries me is the 38 HP, yeah it fits character wise. But if she is an Armored Trainee with a 172'ish stat total. . . well that is an average of 33.5 in the four other stats. Assuming they try to make her squishy like in her game, we could be looking at someone with a greater than 70 offensive stat total, who also has at least one decent defensive stat, possibly too decent ones. I mean 38/37/37/30/30 would be 172. That would be terrifying. More than likely she'll have mid 20's res and mid 30's defenses with more speed than attack. So more like 38/35/39/35/25. Seriously when I was trying to spec her as an armor for the create a hero thread I was intentionally playing with Sheena level HP just to prevent such a thing, I wonder if I should finish that. It was basically a 'Super Trainee Banner'. Anyways, even if she just has 168 like 3 of the current armors that would still be a 32.5 point average. So 38/35/35/30/30 would be possible. A lowered res/higher defense version could be 38/35/37/32/26. An Armor with that low of HP is just insane. I mean that is basically ranged levels of HP. And she would have at least 20 extra stats compared to them. Imagine if Reinhardt or Julia(both have 38HP) had 20 extra stat points to play with, actually don't. I don't want to pee my pants. Anyways it just seems like half the +10 armor bonus always went into HP so 38HP, is just. . . wow.
  2. The way I would like to see trading implemented is simply a banner trade. Basically you can trade a focus unit in a banner for another focus unit in that banner. I don't think it would be necessary to limit it to summons from current banner, so if you had a spar 5 star Minerva from months ago you could trade her for a Jaffar right now. This way if you end up with 10 Mathildas and only want Delthea you can actually get the unit you want(I don't know why this game likes to throw Mathilda at me, but I ended up with 2 5 stars and now I have 3 4stars from trying to get Summer Corrin). I don't much care for the wonder trade idea. In Pokemon it works out since you can easily breed up rare pokes. I know when I am trying for a particular mon I tend to have a bunch extra that tend to just get dumped in wonder trade. That is why some rarer mons end up there. Maybe I am underestimating but I don't see random wonder trading really taking off with this type of game. Or at least I have severe doubts I would use it.
  3. Hmm. . . what if the lifetaker 3 was just reduced to 10 hp rather than the rather high 50% of max? It would then be a situational renewal 3. Or make it akin to breath of life with thresholds of 3/5/7, if 10 hp is too much. Actually in that case Breath of Life would arguably be much stronger since it procs every combat initiated.
  4. This is why I actually find Normal harder than hard at times. I just end up underestimating those weaklings! That said when it happens to me it is usually because of a crit on either end. Either I kill someone I was really hoping I wouldn't with an untimely critical, or an enemy, sometimes multiples of enemies, score critical I wasn't counting on. So I think of it as mostly a critical failure.
  5. You know I was afraid that my order would get cancelled by the time they got around to shipping it. . . but now I have new fear. That was one thing I never even considered. And now I'll likely be afraid of getting the wrong amiibo forever more, even if I get the right one this time. What goes around comes around I guess. Edit- Well if it is any relief my Wednesday delivery has arrived and it is indeed female! So maybe I lucked out by being slow on the trigger.
  6. You know what they say about misery loving company! That said despite the anxiety from hearing horror stories about such, I have never actually had Amazon drop the ball like that on me. Sell out ridiculously fast, sure. However, so far if they confirm my order I get my order even with Nintendo stuff. But hey! There is a first time for everything, right?
  7. Maybe I wasn't clear. I got an order through. Says Wednesday delivery. But between the flickering the constant not available message the data on the nowinstock site, well all that has my anxiety up. I won't actually feel as if I got it, until I see the 'it has shipped' notification. Until then I am half expecting a 'sorry we can't fulfill your order' message.
  8. I don't know if I hit a glitch, but I got a 'not available' message. I refreshed a few times not believing it went out of stock in less than 10 minutes, and hooray it was available. According to the site below it went up at 1:31 and wasn't available at 1:37. When I saw that, before my notification I signed up for even arrived, I about crapped myself. You have got to be kidding. But then it went back up at 1:43. Sadly in the delivery field it says this " Back-ordered. Due in stock July 22 -- order now to reserve yours " Which would the fastest shipping, next day, had a Tuesday date. I just hope I actually get it and this isn't just giving me false hope. Scalpers were already selling at 95-200 within minutes of it becoming available. That is beyond ridiculous. http://www.nowinstock.net/full_historydetails/743/26083/
  9. Yeah I got an Aquarius and a Libra that way. I figure I get into enough battles when ever I have an 'oopsie'. I really want to just get a long chain of every baddie possible down their chasing me around while I have my phone playing yakety sax. Really I am just trying to make the grind for them a bit more bearable. And Duplicates can be annoying. The game likes to throw cancer shards at me. I suppose it can be one of the more useful ones to patch up a defense stat that just doesn't want to go up(just like Leo and Libra for strength and speed), but I don't need enough for everyone at the same time! I have actually just started leaving cancers lay on the floor. Don't want to clutter my inventory anymore.
  10. I have been enjoying this map. I make it a game to try and get the jars without ever getting into a battle. I haven't figured out how to steal the boss jar without getting into a fight, so I usually just snag the 6 rooms. It is surprisingly fun to dash in break jars and then lure away the guards so you steal the goods. It is actually kinda boring if you don't have to deal with room guards and nearby patrols chasing you.
  11. I have seen them as cheap as. . . 16? I think it was. They just don't stay up for long. Just a glance will generally only show you ones that are way over the market value. Example is one that has the Limited Edition + the print. Bidding is at 61 with 10 hours left. It'll definitely pick up as it ends, but I admit I am curious to see what it goes for.
  12. One word. Pokemon. If Pokemon released a Special edition that had all versions of that generation on one cartridge would you feel the same way? That said making the combo cart special edition only was a dick move in my book. Doubly so when you take into account that Nintendo is so poor at Special Edition releases.
  13. I really shouldn't go around buying lottery tickets. All my luck has likely been used up. Despite being someone who isn't breathing down nintendo's neck for release info I have somehow managed to net Awakening, Fates, and Echoes LE's. That said my box was pretty notably dented. The book is mostly fine(a little dent in the spine; I probably would have gotten around to doing that anyways). And since it seems everyone else is doing it. I don't really play many Hand held games, so when Awakening came out I didn't have a system. I was quite happy to snag that! I am just sad I couldn't nab that Print from Gamestop as well. I will admit I have half considered ebay for that. I saw several at 20-30'ish(I was curious how bad the scalpers were trying to hit people). But that actually isn't too bad, other than the fact that they obviously snagged up as many freebies as they could to sell for a profit. A 11x17 high quality print can easily hit 15-20 dollars or more. And everything I have heard says the echoes print is pretty solid. Not sure if I wanna encourage the behavior though. Then again my local place is so small they apparently didn't have any bonus stuff for Echoes period. Honestly I am even surprised there is a gamestop around, however dinky it is, given that I live in the middle of Nowhere, USA(I pal around with Courage). As such without some one 'reappropriating' and distributing it online I wouldn't have a shot period. If I see one at 15 or so I will almost certainly jump on it given that I have spent close to that on a poster before. Though I'll likely feel slimy afterwords, so maybe I should hope I don't see one that cheap.
  14. I would like to see a 'nobody' MU that you actually get to decide the personality of. Corrin was a bit dull if you ask me. Of course this may cause some issues since to be worth using this 'nobody' would be somekind of prodigy that can fight on par with the legends of the game. So. . . that begs the question of how this person is a 'nobody'. But Steel Wing hit it with It wouldn't even have to be a friend. And Village units can be fairly impressive so that takes care of the keeping up. Actually in both Fates and Awakening I kept wanting to get to start as a villager. So that would be like my wish fulfillment there. Basically just imagine if Donnel or Mozu were your custom MU. So you pick their appearance and such. You wouldn't be very important to the story(heck it would be funny if you could even 'miss' recruiting the MU by not saving that poor villager on that one map), but you would be along for the ride. The villager could be covered by a cloak in the battle so after saving them you get to design them. If there has to be choices for the MU just let them have choices that affect their relationships rather than the story. Though I would rather this be in a new game rather than a remake. I think the remakes should cater to the fans of the original that is being remade, which does make MU's a bit dodgy there. Can it be done? Probably. But can IS do it? Maybe they should stick to that being in new games unless the original being remade already had a MU.
  15. Really wish fights could be replayed. Somehow the 3 that attacked Selkie ended up at 1hp and two other 2 rangers with much lower hp than what they should have had if they had just lost 1 20% hp. It looked more like 3 times that. Sadly I didn't do the exact figures and I can't remember the exact numbers but they were in the 30's at the start of my phase, and reloading the save shows 73 max HP on those enemies. Basically it looked like they got hit with 3 20% blows somehow or other. Sadly I was just letting the enemy phase play out while I read an article, so I didn't see what was happening and was only back tracking. Only thing I can think of is Anna somehow damaged the other two while fleeing and I didn't notice. Anyway, I wasn't really expecting anything on the enemy phase I was just waiting to try and check stacking on my phase. And I missed the stacking since even with just one of them triggering the enemy would have had only 1 hp left :P. Play more gently, Selkie!
  16. Hmm... I just loaded up my Birthright save to check whether Kaden's or Selkie's stacked, and while I didn't get Grisly and Savage to stack I did somehow get Savage blow to strike even on enemy phase. I didn't think it was supposed to do that. But Selkie was savage blowing anyone adjacent to people taking Grisly wound damage. Made quick work of those Berserker's in Anna's Map. 1 enemy phase and Selkie had a bunch of them down to 1/3 or so hp.
  17. @Honey Bunny - You know, given that the iconic image of a pirate to my knowledge is an individual with a Cutlass and a Pistol, I just have to say that Pirates + Axes in RPG's always throws me for a loop. That said I understand why this is the case. We have no shortage of class options in RPG's that can logically wield swords. Axes meanwhile tend to have a smaller pool. And axes aren't entirely nonsensical for pirates. Pirates used Boarding Axes after all(well most naval fighters who could potentially end up in a boarding action did). In addition the Viking raiders, which serve as inspiration for berserker type classes, were sea born raiders which is effectively what a pirate is. And of course if you image search viking you are going to see a lot with axes. So yeah I get it, game balance and it is even historically inspired. Still I prefer to call the Axe 'Pirates' Raiders or something. Particularly if they have no water based skills, which thankfully you avoided doing. As for the weapon rank issue. given that it seems a lot of folks are more than happy using forged irons as their mainstay weapon I doubt a low weapon rank is too inhibiting. I mean with a B rank max you are only giving up Brave Axe, Venge Club, and the S rank Aurgelmir. The bigger hit would be your triangle advantage loss. B -> S is a decent amount of lost hit when you are advantaged and Axe wielders need every point of hit they can get. Still depending on how much higher that stats were in skill you could easily make that up. That said Berserker is a moderately high skill class so even a Very high skill class would only have a few points on them. Not enough to reverse the advantage bonus. That said the skill boosted hit would always be effective where as Triangle hit would only be good against lances and hidden weapons. So back to topic I'll make a sea raider class. Raider Powerful Fighters who are capable of rapidly striking and then running away, often avoiding capture by taking to the seas. Raiders are known to recruit from among common outlaws. Promoted class Advances from Outlaw or Fighter. Growths HP 0 - STR 30 - MAG 0 - SKL 15 - SPD 15 - LCK 25 - DEF 0 - RES 0 I basically just reordered the Berserker's Growth rates. Unlike the Berserker the Raider is supposed to be a glass cannon. Maximum Stats HP 55 - STR 42 - MAG 25 - SKL 34 - SPD 32 - LCK 40 - DEF 26 - RES 25 Glass Cannon. 'Nuff said. 2 more strength and skill than berserker and 15 more luck. 15 less hp and 1 less speed, defense, and resistance. I guess it is slightly in favor of the Raider, but I would normally trade 15 luck for 15 hp in a heartbeat. So 1 more total stats I don't think is too imbalanced there. Maximum Weapon Ranks A B As mentioned above I am imagining someone who utilizes Pistols + a close combat weapon. Obviously we don't have pistols in fire emblem. And before the time of flintlock, bows would suffice for the pre-boarding barrage. Hidden weapons were another option, but I did not want weapon triangle manipulation in this class. And the easiest way to remember the triangle pair I have seen is the Axes/Bows go together because they are the 'outlaw' type weapons. As such if I was considering axes bows seemed the natural pairing. Plus, I did not want 1-2 range as a 'default' option. The whole point of two weapons was so that their ranges would complement one another. Bows for range and Axes for close combat fills that role. Skills Watery Escape - When within 2 tiles of or on a Water, Ice, or Boat tile grain +1 move and +10 Hit/Avoid. You do not suffer movement or avoid penalties from crossing the aforementioned terrain. Switch Hitter - When attacked if you cannot counter with your equipped weapon switch to a weapon that you can counter with at the cost of -10 Hit/Avoid and the inability to make follow up attacks or trigger critical hits. The idea being that they switch to bows if attacked at range or axes if attacked in close combat. The class is fast enough that the loss of doubling would actually be felt. Mechanically it would probably just equip the first weapon in your inventory list that can counter. I was going to word it as 'the most effective weapon', but that would enable dual club shenanigans for Triangle exploitation. You could still do it to an extent since you could have the dual club in position 2 while having a bow equipped. This way if someone tries to sword you, they get a nasty surprise. The 1-2 range axes would still be useful to avoid the Penalties, though you lose skill activation in turn(As Sol is the only available activation skill without out classing, this may not be too huge). This could also be exploited by an enemy that has bow breaker but not axe breaker. Attack from two range and if the Raider lacks a 1-2 axe you effectively get 60 Hit and Avoid. Or vice versa of course. And I have clearly spent too much thought on this.
  18. My Birthright Avatar finished as Blacksmith and was +Spd -Res. I picked up Aether with her for healing and made sure to grab Deathblow from Chieftain. And just for fun I dipped in Swordmaster for Astra and Swordfaire(since Blacksmith's can easily use final yato). High skill class + Deathblow + Astra + Killer Axe/Ryoma's Club/Great Club was just fun. And I could always fall back to Yato if I had hit rate issues. If you go with the insanely hard hitting axe options you probably want someone who can boost skill most as a partner. Even with 36 Skill at game end Great Club had pretty iffy accuracy at times. Ryoma's Club has a better hit rate(and hits like a dang truck) and as a Spd Boon Avatar in a defensive class you can eat -5 speed. But you may get doubled by faster classes(Master Ninja and sword master mostly) unless you grab a speedy partner. She basically just walked over everything end game. But I imagine it can be pretty tough to make a poor Avatar without intentionally trying.
  19. I've got Rend Heaven and Aegis, not that Aegis is hard to get on him or anything. 06642-38249 12393-03397 Note that my castle isn't set for an easy capture so if you aren't at end game you may find yourself out-leveled. Also I am starting my conquest run so I am not sure how long that castle will be up. Still figured I post since Rend Heaven is one of the more reliable procs and I am not sure if you got Aestury's code yet.
  20. Well both Puppets and Mechanists fall under Golembane's effects, so it wouldn't be too surprising if they have the automaton internal identifier.
  21. Boy how I wish Hero of Legend was real. Given that my avatar is running around wielding axes I feel like Yato gets wasted. Would be nice if someone got to use it! And now to contribute, not gonna be too detailed. - Gladiator - A fighting slave with excellent survival skills and skill at utilizing any weapon at hand. Base Class - 6 Move Max Weapon Ranks - C Sword/Axe/Lance Maximum Stats - 55/HP, 19/Rest -------------Note that 19 is a below average max for a base class. This class's high points is high HP/Move and the weapon triangle advantage. Growth Rates - 35/HP, 5/Rest -------------35 HP is even higher than Berserker. 5 Rest leaves the class as below average overall. Skills Level 1 Opportunist: When user triggers battle against an opponent already attacked this turn gain +10 Hit and +10 Critical. Level 10 Pincer Attack: When another ally is adjacent and directly across an opponent gain +25 Critical and deal extra damage on critical hits. -------------Obviously these two were designed to work in conjunction with one another. I almost called Pincer Attack Finisher instead. Advances to Berserker or Champion. Champion - A gladiator who has managed to survive long enough to not only become an Arena Champion, but also to win their freedom. Advanced Class - 7 Move Max Weapon Ranks - Upon advancement pick one of the three Gladiator weapons. You get an S rank in that weapon. You get an A rank in the weapon that counters the weapon that counters the S rank Weapon. You have C Rank in the remaining weapon. So for example a sword focused Champion would have Sword-S, Axe-A(since it counters lance), Lance-C. Also they did not become Champion by fighting fair so they also can gain up to C-Rank in Hidden Weapons(Dagger, Shuriken). -------------Yeah, this guy can use just about anything as a weapon to some extent or another. Maximum Stats - 90/HP, 28/STR, 27/MAG, 28/SKILL, 29/SPEED, 40/LUCK, 30/DEFENSE, 29/RESISTANCE -------------Only HP and LUCK are of particular note. Everything else is rather sad. Growth Rates - 50/HP, 5/STR, 5/MAG, 5/SKILL, 5/SPEED, 25/LUCK, 10/DEFENSE, 10/RESISTANCE -------------Clearly I miss being able to +2 my HP on level up. Otherwise mostly the same old with a boost to survivability. Skills Level 5 Dirty Fighter - When fighting outdoors you utilize tactics such as throwing dirt/sand/mud into an opponents eyes or of keeping the sun in your enemy's eyes. When fighting outdoors enemies miss chance is increased by 50% of its original value. So if the enemy had a 90% chance they now have an 85% chance. If they had a 60% chance they now have a 40% chance. Level 15 Master Exploiter - Weapon advantage is doubled when in your favor. No change when you are disadvantaged. -------------The Basic Idea is to utilize the weapon triangle to gain an insane evasion rate. Originally I was going to have Dirty fighter double the chance. But I figured double advantage + an S Rank AND an A Rank + full triangle coverage + double evasion chance was just way overkill.
  22. https://www.facebook.com/dorkly/videos/1089564727753603/?pnref=story And this is why you shouldn't take things literally. . . Unless of course you want an Arm chair made of arms. I don't think it would be very comfortable, but maybe it is supposed to be like the Iron Throne.
  23. Griffon Rider - Skilled Riders who ride a mythical griffon into combat. A finely balanced warrior. HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res Move Weapon Rank Additional 10 10 0 15 10 10 10 10 7 Griffon, Flier Max Stats 40 20 15 25 20 20 20 20 Axe B Pair Up 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 Skills Level 1 Deliverer - User can still perform an action after seperating a unit from its pairup. Basically you can drop a pairing at the start of the turn, move and then attack. Or you can move, drop a unit off, and then attack. Basically seperating doesn't end your turn, but you don't gain a free movement action(so no moving twice). Level 10 Evasion - Skill x .25% chance of avoiding any attack. Royal Griffon - An exceptionally skilled Griffon Rider who has pledged their sword to one of Royal Blood HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res Move Weapon Rank Additional 5 15 0 25 20 0 5 5 8 Griffon, Flier Max Stats 55 32 25 40 35 25 30 30 Axe B, Sword A Pair Up 0 0 5 3 0 0 0 1 Skills Level 5 Body Guard - When adjacent to or paired with a royal unit skill% chance that this unit will take the place of the royal unit in combat. Level 15 Tenacity - HP lost% chance of surviving any attack(so if you lose 55 hp you have a 55% chance to have 1 hp left. If you have 1 hp you have a 1% chance of having 1 hp left). Additionally Body Guard will never drop you below 1 hp. Basically it makes body guard more useful since it won't get the Griffon accidently killed and it gives a general bonus to survivabitly. Terror Griffon - These heavily armored Griffon Riders have chosen to fully exploit that fact that mundane beasts fear the mythical griffon. HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res Move Weapon Rank Additional 20 15 0 10 0 10 20 10 5 Griffon, Flier, Armored Max Stats 65 33 25 29 25 29 35 29 Axe S, Lance B Pair Up 2 0 2 0 0 2 2 Skills Level 5 Fearsome - All Beast units, including allied units, within 3 spaces suffer double movement cost Level 15 Beastbreaker - Gains +50 hit/avoid against beast units. For this guy I would say nix the ability to hover since they are too heavy to manage sustained flight(only short hops to ignore terrain), however, I doubt such a thing currently works in the system.
  24. Yeah, there are a lot of procs in the arena fights. It is really rare to go a round without something proc'ing. Speaking of ridicious enemies. Just now I had a Swordmaster doing 11x2 to my avatar. My SPEED Blessed SPEED Boon avatar who has averaged a .8 speed growth rate in her levels(I spent probably half my levels in Oni Savage/Chieftain so I should have closer to .65-.7 due to being excitable). I could understand not doubling him. But how the flying ape did he double me?! He has to have a bare minimum of 48 speed! Or do we get pair up bonuses in the arena? Kaden is in a no speed bonus class right now so Pair up bonus could have given him the edge if such bonuses are in play. And Dang I didn't even think of Lethality in the arena. That sounds like it could be almost as much fun as Death Blow + Astra. Proc'ing Astra when you have at least a 20%, maybe even a 40%, Crit Rate is fun :D.
  25. Having seen some impressive chains while fighting in the arena I figured I want to hear what some other folks have seen. Plus I am curious if anyone else has ran into Mr. Can't Hurt Me Mechanist. So I enter the arena with my avatar and her Husband Kaden. Kaden is a bit lower leveled(His daughter took his place in the army), so won't be useful for much other than accuracy boost/etc. Now my avatar is a level 40 speed boon Great Lord who has Astra. 33 Str with Yato isn't exactly mind numbing at level 40 but I assume it is respectable. Anyways my final opponent ends up being a Mechanist. I wasn't too worried even though my hp was low since they often don't hit too hard and usually fold easily enough. So the battle starts and my projected damage is 3x2 - 100% hit. Well that doesn't bode well since the Mechanist hits for 6 and has 51 HP(I had 30 remaining), though only 71% hit. What proceeds to occur had me laughing loud enough I thought I would wake everyone up. My first hit a Sol. I get 1 HP! Mechanist misses. Astra hits 5 for 1. Astra Hits 5 for 1. Mechanist misses. Astra hits 5 for 1. Are you seeing a pattern? I killed the poor SOB with 48 1 damage hits and 1 3 damage hit. And he never once managed to hit me in turn(though his team-mate, a sniper I think?, managed to hit me a few times for 2 damage each hit). And no Kaden didn't once manage to hit the Mechanist(though even if he did he would do 0 damage). So I just imagined this fight as Kaden standing back pointing and laughing as the poor SOB tries to fight a blur. By the way. Watching that fight took forever. Do Mechanists normally have that much Defense? I mean I normally hit 6-12x2 in the Arena at this level(about twice that against folks who don't value defense). The only time I have ever hit below that was a 4x2 on a Chieftain. Or was it a Blacksmith? Well one of those two. So basically the highest defense foe I have ran into in the arena was a Mechanist. And I don't normally think of them as being tanks, actually I just down right assumed they were inferior to Master Ninja. Am I underestimating the class?
