  2. 40 caps is ridicoulus for low growhts. 20 cap with set low growhts is much better in my opinion. Check out Super Thracia No Bullshit Version on Rom Hack Section, it's something like the one you said, but optimised.

  7. What if games with 20 caps had much lower growths in stats where a unit should not excell? Like for a General LV7, bases and growths like this; HP 43 ATK 11 SKILL 9 SPEED 6 LUCK 8 DEF 17 RES 6 Weapons SW B LC B AXE C BOW C Big Shield based on ACTUAL HP Growths HP 100 ATK 40 SKILL 30 SPEED 30 LUCK 55 DEF 20 RES 20 Would this make a 20 cap game much more balanced?
  8. IT would make the game much more appealing and complete. To balance it out? Experience received AFTER the mission related on how well you did at following the obiective - kill the boss?, the faster the better - defense spot? Less hp lost the better the bonus xp etc (if you cure it they are considered uneffected) and so on... Also, free roaming on a vast area where you don't fight, a la tipical jrpg, and a lot of interaction with people that suggests about quests, mechanics and plot. Random events too during the game - like, while you do your chores in your base, you have to retract brigands or so...
  9. FE5 is the one with most mechanics sans FE12-13, so I think that really is the choise for old-school fe. Plus, if you know what you do, it's very rewarding and has great map animations as well and hidden mechanics. What kills it it's unproper character development because of lack of memory in the cartridge.

  11. Gba games - even POR or RD - are not as deep. Still, RD is really similiar to thracia 776, and I consider it a spiritual successor that, unfortunately, relies on stats instead of difficult situations. Example: why to put me in front of - in hard mode of RD - a general with near capped speed? What is the point of that? Where is class diversity? Why not to give the general a very powerful weapon against a type of unit - so you beware that - instead of making him Oswin with staboots?

  14. I've played all of this. It's very addicting It's necessary to savestate abuse initially to find Ranger, Ninja and Mage class, cause those are the best ones. Plus maiden kiss + turtle shall and mix commands make final boss cheese.
  15. Don't you think GBA emblem are worse SNES? SNES's have much better graphics, great soundtracks in better synth and better gameplay - immediate fixed supports > slow building pointless supports that makes character more fleshed out but are a pain in the ass. About Gamecubes ones... POR and RD are like Thracia 776 withouth the bullshit, me thinks. FE11 and FE12 are: the first very pale, the second harsh if you go for LTC on Maniac/Lunatic withouth arena abuse or rng abuse for misses.

Example: Paladin Caps: ATK 21 Speed 23 Skill 22 Def 18 Res 13 Luck 14 Warrior Caps: ATK 30 Speed 22 Skill 22 Def 18 Res 9 Luck 9 SWMaster Caps (male) ATK 18 Speed 30 Skill 25 Def 15 Res 15 Luck 20 SWMaster Caps (female) ATK 16 Speed 30 Skill 30 Def 9 Res 9 Luck 30 Considering skills into it as well. Wouldn't this make the game better?
  17. You prefer class based caps or general caps a la fe3 or fe5? Me second, cause you don't need abuse and keep play the game the proper way (ranked, ltc, or casual but withouth wasting time rng abusing for good levels)
  18. Javelin and Hand Axes does this damage. Total atk - 1/2 def + 1/2 res They can double with a + 8 speed advantages, they are guite heavy
  19. I'd like being Geitz, cause I resemble him both phisically and mentally, he is a Warrior with great stats and has a lovely philosophy.
  20. Healer Lord that is in a mission to save people - a la Arachel, but calmer - that promotes in dancer lord that can use both healing and dance.
  21. Generals with enough speed to not be doubled and resistent and sturdy enough suffice to me to get the game easier, along with proper pre-promos with solid bases and few starting units with good growths
  22. Hi there. I prefer previous concocted strategy in comparison to trial and error. Trial and error it's fine, to me, only when there is a secret-bonus that is risky and so is well deserving the trial and error.
  23. That hero can be won if you attract him with your lower-half map units.About other maps that are boring, I'll try to make them more challenging and mind-issuing.
