  1. Oh, and in case you didn't checked it already, here's cutiefly inspiration.

I just call it Toblerone myself...

It isn't that hard to pronounce, actually.

It just have a lot of syllables, and since you don't get the meaning, it's harder to remember

Every time another fairy Pokemon gets added with a nefarious streak to it, another year's added to my life.

It's a lot to remember, yeah, but I'm going to try to learn it. But I'll probably call it Maru for short. (Maru-Maru. ... I almost want to nickname it that.)

  2. Compiling some images of the new Pokemon from the official Pokemon twitter here!

Note that there's only these three up at the moment, however, when more of these images are released, I'll add them!

Oh hey, also off-topic but the event Pokemon is Shaymin. Go and get it, folks!

  3. Oh, I was wondering where you guys got the English names from, here we go.

So, the new Pokemon are as follows:

    Tapu Koko: Electric/Fairy (Legendary)

    Charjabug and Vikavolt: Bug/Electric

    Drampa: Normal/Dragon

    Bruxish: Water/Psychic

    smleak5.jpg

    Cutiefly: Bug/Fairy

That's definitely the psychic color. Fairy's color is a much lighter pink.

  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humphead_wrasse

    This?

Ngl... I think I prefer the real one.

I looked up its appearance in Animal Crossing and I've come to the conclusion that all of them scare me and the only benefit is that I can sell the Animal Crossing one for Bells.

    God why.

... Hopefully the Pokemon one doesn't get a creepy Pokedex entry like "It uses its strong aw and serrated to latch into its prey. Once it has its prey, it will never release it until it's consumed."

  5. The Electric/Fairy pokemon can Thunder Punch me in the face. I love it and I'm getting one.

I also really like the dragon? I mean yes, it looks kind of goofy when its idle but did you see its attack animation? And the way it moves? It's dangerous and weirdly graceful I'm

    also getting it.

The fish I think I can pull a bit of SCIENCE and explain for you guys, however, this is off the topic of my head and from what I can recall from Animal Crossing because while you're nice people I'm not going to go google fish for you. Listen I have a pathological fear of fish okay....

ANYWAY. I thin the fish is based off the real life Napoleonfish, a primarily blue fish known for its large, misshapen head and unusual features. It's also a fish that lives in warm, tropical waters, such as Hawaii, so I'm not too surprised to see they designed something based off this fish. I mean, yeah it's kind of ugly but... look at a picture of the real thing... trust me, you'll appreciate the Pokemon version much more.

  6. However, instead of entertaining the idea of the player being able to choose the hero Link's gender, Aonuma said his team considered what they deemed to be the simplest option; making princess Zelda the lead character. "We thought about it," said Aonuma, "and decided that if we're going to have a female protagonist it's simpler to have Princess Zelda as the main character."

This idea was ultimately rejected, because according to Aonuma "...if we have princess Zelda as the main character who fights, then what is Link going to do? Taking into account that, and also the idea of the balance of the Triforce, we thought it best to come back to this [original] makeup."

Dammit, Nintendo, if Zelda's the hero, Link can be the prince!

Or Link and Zelda can fight together!

    [/gestures at Hyrule Warriors]

    Man, I'm a little bummed.

I love Link dearly, but how cool would it be for a main-series game where Zelda is the playable protagonist? I'd love it.

  7. Okay, so I actually really like the fact that it's dlsplayed whether a move is super effective or not as effective after you've fought a Pokemon before.

It may seem like it makes the game easier but honestly, it's really difficult to remember everything and makes it a lot easier on younger players.

And people like myself with memory issues....

In other news, HEYO NEW GAMEPLAY MODE.

    Ck7QIYjUkAAWg_p.jpg

They also lowkey confirmed customization. NO MORE GLOVE WORLD HAT.

  8. According to the mythos that the Kalos legendaries are based off, Yveltal is the eagle that rests at the top of Yggdrasil, Zygarde is the dragon that makes it home by one of the roots, and Xerneas is a composite of the four stags that linger by another root.

However, the stags make no appearance in the actual story the myth speaks about - so I wonder if Xerneas's role is actually Nidhug's, since it's still positioned by the roots that way, and Zygarde is the squirrel that climbs up and down the tree inciting the feud between the two beings. That would make Xerneas and Yveltal focus on each other, and ignore the weaker Zygarde.

It's a stretch, but it could explain with why Zygarde can be easily ripped apart by the other two yet still has some sort of power over them.

  9. What?! How dare you insult dolphins like that?! They're among the friendliest animals ever! There are all kinds of videos and stories of people swimming and playing with them! They're also very smart.

If they're cruel to anything at all, it's fish, and that's because they eat them. I want a Water/Fairy Dolphin due to their friendliness.

Actually, their intelligence is exactly why they have such a high capacity for cruelty.

Since you brought up fish, a perfect example is what dolphins can and will do to sharks.

Dolphins are known to hunt down a lone shark straying into their territory in a pack, circle the shark and confuse it, then use their tails to bat the shark back and forth between them like a ping-pong ball until it dies.

    That's just one example.

Actually, Water/Fairy would be a perfect typing for them.

Fairies (especially in older tales) weren't the nicest of creatures and often deceived people into underestimating them or thinking they weren't a threat.

  10. Yet Slowpoke is psychic type despite being incredibly slow mentally...

Edit regarding Zygarde: I just hope 100% form has a type advantage against Xerneas and Yveltal

As is either could trump it.

I believe the reason why this is has to do with the myth the three Pokemon are based off of, but give me a moment to fact check before I start spouting.

Although technically Zygarde DOES have a tiny advantage - being able to break their signature auras.

  11. Zygarde 10% and 100% have been revealed.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l7cW0F4JMsc

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeZ_8s_kWXg

In case anyone thought they were anime exclusive.

We hear the battle theme and see the like three different signature moves.

Okay so I like the battle theme, its signature moves look badass, and I love the Zygarde 10% form (puppy!!!!).

My only complaint is a personal one so YMMV, but

what the fuck is that 100% form.

Is this Pokemon: Revenge of the Fallen?

  12. My only issue with B2W2 is that Hugh is freaking terrible. Colress was great though.

And while Chalege Mode's obtention is stupid, it was my best Pokémon experience.

6th gen Multi Exp is the reason I never finished ORAS (I'm no hardcore player, but a game without a bit of challenge becomes boring fast).

But i'm incredibly biased towards 5th gen. I bought all the versions for the first time since... ever actually (I have all Gen 1, but it was for me and my brother/sister, so it doesn't counts).

Even the idea of Gen V is amazing (completely renovating the Pokédex while appealing to new fans. And then adding a direct sequel. I'm 100% behind a big franchise taking risks.)

After Gen IV were it felt the franchise wasn't going anywhere (or at least, not with us early fans. Appealing to kids was all that matters to them.) HGSS is amazing, but when the best games of the gen are remake, it isn't a good new.

I know I'm feeling far too pessimistic about those games, and that I'm being unfair here (I had my first Shiny and my first PokéRus in those games after all). Can't really help it.

I'm still mixed towards Gen VI. The extreme easiness killed all the fun, but otherwise it had lots of cool stuffs.

You know you... don't have to use it, right?

Honestly I really only used it in the post-game. If you don't use it and don't grind more than the standard, you'll trail by a few levels for most of the game.

So it's really only as easy as you make it (but then again, XY was my first game so I don't have years of experience under my belt.)
