  1. Notable from the BInding Blade banner:

    Main: 4-star Reyson +Def -Res. Used up all tickets.

    Alt: Leo +HP -Spd. Opposite of the spread I got on the main. He doesn't need that speed anyway. Among 4-stars, Soleil +HP yet again (useless for her, it only gets her to mid-40s). Two tickets left.

  2. Today's a good day in AR at least. Another 60 loss. This guy used Cecilia to tank my units, winning with a 3o fort against my 4+1. In turn, I rematch him, use Legendary Lyn to tank his units, and win with no casualties. Hopefully he got a full 80 loss from me. Second battle was also a perfect victory.

    Switching L'Arachel to SM!Eirika so Cecilia can't tank her.

  3. My latest defenses:

    F2P dragons team, A!Tiki was the only survivor. Four foes defeated means zero loss, right? I'm fine with this, but wonder whether he had any ladder uses left.

    Double Dancer Galeforce Tibarn used Hit And Run and fell into the gravity trap, wasting dancer turns. Duma was MVP, picking off his Reyson, Ike, and finally Tibarn.

    I'm having fun again with this because I'm winning. I think I have a shot of making T20 now that I have my level 3 offense fort and am no longer getting blocked out of lift as easily.

  4. 220 orbs yields two copies of Hrid, two of Legendary Roy (chose +Atk), and one of Dream M!Corrin.

    I think I will make Roy my final merge project. During months where he gets a rerun, I stop pulling until his banner shows up and see how far I can merge him with the money I set aside.

  5. Main: Myrrh is now +3. Should I make her my merge project after the summer?

    Alt: Duma is +Atk -Def. +Atk is always best. Banner sadly cleaned me out for now and left me with a pile of 3-stars, not one of them Gwendolyn. (At least she was a free summon on the other banner).

  6. Yet another player who wipes me on both matches. He's using H!Kagero +3 with some Solo skill - and is Arena Tier 17 (and losing orbs for it) just like the last guy. (My F2P alt has a seasonal at +3 too.) Playing to win must be a soul-crushing lifestyle.

    I can't wait to get the offense upgrade. Maybe then I'll have a chance at reaching AR Tier 20.

  7. Today's full defense loss and rematch loss was a Ward Armor stacking clown. Turns out he's in Arena Tier 17, so he's suffered enough. I'll accept him beating me.

    On defense: I think I'll have a Galeforce shenanigans team. Spring Alfonse survived the "Park Surtr" test, so I'm now training my Tibarn for my second test match.

  8. Today's match: Couldn't beat this horrible troll team of pretty standard builds.

    I think I'll steal this map if I start to struggle. BRB, I threw down my 20k feathers for Galeforce, now to grind out 1000 or so SP on Tibarn.

    The maps you're fighting with +10 level 3 fort would be about the same as a guy with level 4 fort but +0 units. And using +0s usually means that they have a wider unit pool.

    LOL, I actually feel worse. I feel like an Abyssal map when it gets shredded by a PM1 guide. On defense I have the fort advantage most of the time.

  10. Alt: I continue my perfect record of being able to pull a better copy to unbench a seasonal unit. So glad I did the Chain Challenge, putting me at 13 orbs in hand. Three red stones showed up. Two contained Ike and one was feathers. +Def and +HP were the choices of IVs. I went +Def.

    Now grinding out orbs to be ready to try for Azura on the Find and Vote banner and fix that -Atk.

    Regarding Frederick, what if he got Sturdy Stance 2 + optional Armor-Weakness & Wary Fighter 3 for his weapon? I doubt Wary Fighter would make Frederick broken, but he'd certainly be better at tanking physical hits if he could avoid getting doubled as often.

    Although, I would bet that the only unit gaining Armor-Weakness + Armor-Only-Skill would be Lukas, if anyone, since he promoted directly to the Knight classes in Gaiden/Echoes.

    I built Seth and Palla as anti-Surtr units. Ironically, Hinata's new personal weapon ditches the gem effect and I'll probably use Triangle Adept to keep him among my Anti-Surtr units.

    As for Frederick, maybe Sturdy Impact would be a good refine effect (combined with Sturdy Stance 2 as the base effect) for his personal weapon. Caeda and Clair got Flashing Blade as their refine effect despite restrictions. I'd still make it inflict armor weaknesses, and then make it a duel skill too.

  12. Main: I'm embracing the drop week, just knocked out a streak of five and am now using the rest of the matches to train the hot spring units. Thankfully my Assault run was no-casualties the first time through, guaranteeing me Top 5k if not Top 3k, as opposed to cranking out an Intermediate run late Sunday night like last week, and settling for Top 20k.

    Alt: This is the best I've done. T19 secured.

    Sorry. It's just the pain of being a whale getting eaten by sharks - spending so much to lose.

    Feeling a little better today. My Not Reinhardt, Not Brave Lyn, and Not Veronica saved me from a total loss, and I won the rematch so I'm not going to fall out of T19. I'll save the tears for if I fall.

    I really shouldn't have upgraded the defense to 4 before upgrading the offense to 3, should I? I may have gotten complacent with my +10s.

    He would not be losing movement range. He still had 7 move in Awakening, vs. 6 for a promoted infantry unit. Hmm, maybe I should also scrap the "doubly effective" bit, and make it +5 instead of +4. 

  16. Maybe discussed before, but how broken would Frederick be if he was an armored cavalier proper like in his original game? Grants +4 Atk/Def, which counts towards unit's stat total in modes like Arena. Skills with "effective against armors" are effective against unit, and skills with both "effective against armors" and "effective against cavalry" are doubly effective.

    But knowing his role, and knowing the underwhelming refines Seth and Titania got, I'm not holding my breath for this.
