    I like Ceremonial Eliwood using Aureola. Apocalypse should go to Raigh in a refine. Poor guy needs it.

    Nino should put a green dagger into the normal pool. Flora is the red dagger and Ylgr is the blue dagger, but the only green daggers are seasonal.

    If Marth wins, I can see them going full retro. 1990 no-pants outfit, wielding Mercurius, and having trainee stats to reflect the original effect.

    If Alm wins, all I want is that they give him a bow.

    What could they do with Eliwood?

    As for the girls' side, the question about Eliwood also applies to Nino. I will bet against Azura, because of the backlash from her legendary alt.

    Arena: Lloyd season - and I remembered I had a spare Ylgr manual, as well as feathers and grails to give him one more merge. Sorcery Blade takes Lloyd to a new level, giving him adaptive damage to help his middling strength, on top of already receiving a boost for being near an infantry mage. For this season, that mage is Soren. He has Drive Def to help patch Lloyd's questionable defense, and QR3 to ensure L!Azuras are deleted before they start flinging buffed-up fliers and infantry at me. Usually his speed is sufficient to watersweep dragons. Fjorm and Caeda (Windsweep/Guidance/Phantom Speed) complete the team.

    I might just be staying in T21 this week with 3,754. That was a lot of L!Azuras Soren had to get rid of. I do think there will be a good amount of score deflation. There's no armor or armor-equivalent (L!Azura pre-built with B Duel Flying) bonus heroes, and it's an Anna season. If I do stay, it will help get rid of the sting of missing T19 in AR.

    I really like the daggers here. With the Red-Hot Ducks+, now Legault can have the same weapon skill as his banner-mates Karla and Flying Nino. I'm almost tempted to get the Splashy Bucket+ for my +10 Summer Linde, but the new Mythic Hero comes first. And knowing me, I'll want a Hinoka to build too, so I'd already be slipping into out-of-control whaling again.

    Otherwise, lol more Fates royals, but at least Hinoka has her first seasonal alt and I'm happy for her.

    Yup, had a defense loss and flubbed on offense. "Good game", I say, crushing the opponent's hand and yanking their arm in my handshake.

    Same old Lynhardt + swordcav teams are the ones cutting up my units. We're evenly matched on fortresses, which means they have a massive advantage.

    Looks like I won't be making it out of Tier 18 this week. How are all these players shredding my defense team and giving me the full defense loss? Tier 18 really is the worst place to be, constantly pummeled because you don't get a sixth member.

    I'm switching it up, but I fear it's too little too late.

    "Tier 18: Thermos". I'd like to empty a Thermos full of dye and glitter over each player that beats my defense team.

    Rage-summoning. After a dehumanizing wipeout in Forging Bonds (enemy Lachesis healing Nina so she could sweep my team), I sacrificed my Lachesis to W!Eirika for Absorb+ and then tried for W!Tharja for CC. $67 for Katarina to show up instead.

    Oh well, it's not like Eirika had the SP to learn everything right now. The merge was the second on a +Res Katarina, so the stats added were Atk and Spd.

    I can't just ignore AR. Arvis +10 is one of my goals. It especially hurts because I was doing so well. I hope this misstep doesn't cost me getting into T19 and then T20.

    Forgetting to switch my bonus structure out - and starting out with not only a defense loss but an offense loss. Feelsbadman. Between regularly maintaining the defense and Assault runs, this game is sometimes too much work.

    A Clarine and Flying Ninian are the first victims of Null C-Disrupt on my Legendary Lyn. Now I'm giving her the Distant Defense seal. Her Res isn't bad, but she could still get worn down by multiple enemies.

    I'm having fun in this mode again, because I'm winning.

    Edit to add: When you reach (and start a week in) tier 19, do you lose your sixth team member slot (if you've bought it) when you get your first loss that knocks you down to tier 18? If so, they need to fix that - things unlocked in a tier do not get re-locked until two tiers below.

    I was struggling with my team of untrained also-rans. Guess using a Training Tower type map to train ain’t the best idea. I’ve had too many wipeouts and am this close to burning orbs to finish these fights. Green mages are the worst - thankfully Canas still needs some SP, he has G Tomebreaker 2 on top of his base kit.

    If Heroes did not exist, what you be doing now? If you could go back in time to two years ago, what would you tell youself about Heroes?

    If I never picked up Heroes, I would have a house by now. Instead, this is the year I pay off the debt I rang up with this game as I hope for dud banners so I can finish off the +10 projects I started before going minnow.

    Do I regret it? On one hand, I squandered my greatest advantage (zero student debt). On the other hand, is it that different from other forms of a luxury consumption lifestyle - nightlife or travel, where you have no physical remainders of the fact?

    Free pulls on Sword Valor, on both accounts, were blah 3-stars with no useful SI.

    Alt went back to try for NY!Hrid. This time, he arrived +Res -Atk. Luckily I saved the manual I made with the +HP -Atk copy, and will take the Res refine. He, along with Nina +Res -Spd, will be unbenched when the merge updates take effect.

    I'm still under what I spent in November as I began to taper my spending down. I had hoped that I would maintain my December spending (that salt over Fae showing up in a Santa armor instead of a marshmallow peep suit for Easter, and over Ephraim being armored instead of flying, translated into big savings), but I'm still in good shape.

    I lapsed into whaling for this one. 60+ F2P orbs and $550 of paid orbs, including both bonus packs. Let's not kid ourselves here, I wanted that ice pack to upgrade my escape ladder. Hopefully they see that strong units like these get sales - cancerous units like Legendary Azura get boycotted.

    I aimed to +1 Tibarn, Nailah, and Leanne (Reyson is the most obvious demotion candidate since Silas), and get one more Nailah to provide Null C-Disrupt to Legendary Lyn. (A nice middle finger to any razzle-dazzle +10 healer I encounter). The IVs I got were +HP, +Atk, and +Spd respectively.

    The off-focus units:

    • Ayra (now a combat manual, because Naesala will provide Swift Sparrow at 5 stars - don't blow 20k feathers)
    • Luke (merged into +Atk to erase -HP, because Garon provides Panic Ploy at 4 stars)
    • Brave Celica (provided Death Blow 4 to Est)
    • Brave Lucina (provided Aether to Legendary Lyn)
    • Brave Hector (now +4)
    • Hardin (now a combat manual, still thinking who should get Bold Fighter)
    • M!Grima (merged into +Def to erase -HP)
    • Maribelle (x2, one was +Spd and old copy was merged into her, the other provided Dazzling Staff to Loki)
    • WoF!Hinoka (provided Flier Formation to YT!Olivia so I wouldn't have sacked a copy of Leanne over it)

    I am satisfied with this haul, but it's safe to say, I will not be spending this much again until the rerun of Summer's Arrival. The odds are 50% off-focus 5-stars - and this was 7 focus to 10 non-focus. I really need to adjust my expectations.

    We still have the friend request option for Voting Gauntlet allies. I'd also add a Teammates menu to the Grand Conquests to send friend requests.

    There should be incentives for players to put leads that will be useful. "You're voting for Lilina! 500 feathers per day for not using a red hero for your lead!"

    Maybe what I want would be better accomplished by an "add rival" button that puts them on a separate list, no request sent. If you ever cross paths with them again, their name is marked differently.

    This makes two days in a row where I've taken a casualty on the first battle of Assault. That little ball of stats, H!Myrrh, was always the cause.

    About the only thing keeping her off the shit-list for me is that I had to use my (unmerged and therefore not a ball of stats) copy to beat L!Azura Abyssal.

    Main buys a $27-pack and comes out with Hrid (+Spd -HP) and one more copy of Elise (now +8, and she joins Zelgius, F!Morgan, S!Catria, and S!Tana on my list of "blow out the stash and throw down cash if needed to +10").

    At first that looks like a questionable asset/flaw, but with refine and Darting Stance seal, he hits 31, and melee weapon stat refines mean 5 HP. The speed from Hone/Goad is no longer useless.
