I'm interested in Donnel/Ricken less because of story reasons and more because I'm legitimately confused why Chrom's okay with one 13-year old being on the battlefield (Donnel) and not the other (Ricken).

Kellam: Basically a dad used to make alright but inferior variations of certain kids because their best fathers were used elsewhere. Kellam!Inigo: An Inigo with Luna and Sage. Basically, worse than Ricken!Inigo. Kellam!Owain: See above, except now Owain is even more of a turtle, and Priest is redundant. Kellam!Brady: It's a Brady. Kellam!Laurent: Prefers Vantage. Kellam!Severa: Arguably the best place to put Kellam where his mods will do the least damage, beyond hard-supports. Still worse than Ricken/Vaike!Severa. Kellam!Cynthia: Doesn't exist, but is somehow worse than Frederick!Cynthia. Kellam!Kjelle/Noire: LOL. Kellam!Nah: Infamous. Kellam!Yarne/Gerome: Mainly for DG+. So... 5/10.

Considering Lissa's 14-15, Donnel's younger than her, and Chrom thinks they're both alright on the battlefield, I think he's probably younger than that. So, at most, I think probably around 13, at worst probably like 11. I kinda wish there were a Donnel/Ricken support. Or a Ricken/Chrom support.

Alright, well... Donnel!Owain: Remember how I said Vaike!Owain was base!Inigo but worse? Well this is even worse than that. Donnel!Inigo: LEGENDARY Donnel!Brady: You cannot fuck Brady up. But still. Donnel!Kjelle: A knockout. The mods fight (but are ultimately not that bad) but the skill inheritance is that good. By which I mean mostly Galeforce/Armsthrift, but getting to fling spells from a pony's also a pretty nice gig. I just really wish that Donnel didn't have that negative SPD (if you're going to do that, at least give the kid Knight or something). Donnel!Severa: See Donnel!Inigo. Donnel!Gerome: Only gets Armsthrift and Bowbreaker. Pretty awful. Donnel!Yarne: Well, if you really have a thing for Armsthrift... eh. Donnel!Laurent: Prefers Vantage. Donnel!Noire: Armsthrift Sniper, I guess. It's a heck of a lot better than Donnel's other options, and it's definitely one of the better Noires, but I do feel that Donnel!Kjelle capitalizes better on Donnel's class-set, simply because she has Vantage to use with Valkyrie. Also the mods fight and there is a speed issue. Donnel!Nah: Well, she gets Sol and Galeforce, at least. Overall, Donnel has one really good kid, one pretty good kid, a Brady, and a lot of shitty kids. Because of the nature of the postgame, you're going to use him as a father, but he's always used in an extremely niche way. Compare this to the other father who can pass Galeforce to daughters: Gaius. Not only can he pretty reasonably father other kids beyond just the Galeforce-less daughters (not that he should, but still), he also has great mods. Donnel looks like shit in comparison. By which I mean I really wish he didn't pass negative speed, and I wish that he either got a 4th class (because Villager sucks) or Fighter were switched to Barbarian (so he could at least pass Axefaire). Still, he's pretty much going to have to be used. 5/10.

Gotta go with Brady on this one. I really like his voice actor's delivery... whoever he is.

Chrom!Inigo recognizes him by name, Chrom!Brady gets confused after it comes out that they're both Ylissean royalty, and Chrom figures it out.

I don't really count Owain either. He recognizes Chrom by name, not appearance.

You know none of Lucina's possible siblings recognize Chrom, right? Chrom!Cynthia brings the issue in the forefront, but I don't think it's a plothole.

I imagine for RES+10 and Aggressor. Though, I'm not sure about how feasible beating CoY2 early on is.

Always votin' Chrom/Olivia. I really can't get enough of their nonexistent supports. Also Bowfaire Supremacy Master Race and all that.

Vaike... meh. Vaike!Inigo: Only gets Trickster, for fuck's sake. Vaike!Owain: Congrats! Owain is now Base!Inigo, except shittier! Vaike!Brady: It's a Brady. Vaike!Kjelle: LOL Vaike!Cynthia: Vaike!Severa: Finally, something interesting. Cordelia's got some pretty awesome mods, and Vaike's complement them pretty well. She also gets Axefaire, which is pretty hot. Vaike limits her somewhat, though, since she really only has one class with the appropriate -faire to abuse that massive strength in, Axefaire Hero. And I guess she can do Lancefaire Falcon Knight/Bride stuff. Note that this is the only one of two children who Vaike can father that can get his Luna, and the only kid who can complete Galeforce+Luna with him. Vaike!Gerome: He gets Axefaire and +7 STR. Vaike!Yarne: He gets... nothing and +6 STR. Vaike!Laurent/Noire: Probably going to sound like a broken record player, but they both prefer Vantage. Vaike!Nah: Support Hero (though no Aggressor hurts) and can also do Manakete stuff with Pavise/Sol or Luna/DG+/possibly Armsthrift. Overall I feel he has limited and niche options, though some of the ones he can fill are pretty great. 4.5/10

Put it simply, Stahl has the best and most synergistic class set out of any Gen 1 father, with the addition of being unisex. Luna is bread-and-butter and Vantage is a bonus... or vice versa, depending on the skillset. Stahl!Cynthia: Doesn't exist. *shakes fist at Sumia* Stahl!Owain and Stahl!Inigo: are basically the same unit - Luna-Galeforce skirmishers, except Owain gets Sage access also. More or less outclassed by other fathers (Ricken, Chrom) and wastes Vantage, but both more than adequate. Stahl!Brady: It's... a Brady. Would prefer magic or speed, and is Luna-inefficient, but otherwise fine. Stahl!Severa: She can literally take advantage of every single class she gets. Assassin? Paladin? Sniper? Hero? Sorcerer? Dark Flier? Yes. It's no wonder this is such a beloved pairing. Stahl!Gerome: Gets Sword/Bowfaire for support and Vantage for Sage shenanigans. Stahl!Yarne: See Gerome, except take out the Sage part. (Could use Dread Fighter instead, but that's niche.) Stahl!Laurent: Basically the same unit as Gregor!Laurent (+3 MAG, +2 SPD, Vantage), except trades Armsthrift for Luna. Normally that's kind of a losing trade but since Laurent gets innate Vengeance, Luna kind of goes to waste here, IMO (Vantage+Luna as a frontlining magic user is worse than Vantage+Vengeance. Severa avoids this since she has other options and Galeforce). Still, it's a Vantage!Laurent, so it's still solid. Stahl!Kjelle: Utter shit. Stahl!Noire: A Vantage-Vengeance Sorcerer, who also gets PavGis for kicks. Eh... IMO Gaius!Noire and Gregor!Noire handily beat this. Stahl!Nah: See Gerome. 10/10. The only character I could see competing is Gaius.
