  1. oh sorry, is a there a thread on this topic, atm? EDIT:SORRY GO AHEAD AND DELETE THESE TWO
  2. Yes it's true. Sorry if that sounds silly. Keep in mind that my dad used to travel the world and learn spanish. It's also a lot harder and more expensive to learn about things. I hope you guys didn't look at the map of my country and assume we have the same population. America is like 10x my population. I already said it's hard to make friends where I live so this not a texbook answer. One of my friends is of Norse origin(why was Leif good and Gandalf bad, huh?) Ike(Eisenhower) and Mars. These two dudes didn't start the war but they played some role in resolving it. I don't know to do the proper word search but could someone do a list of names(each characer in Awakening). Also it's pure conicidence I saw some random gibbersihy weird accent characters in the anime english thing cause it was clear in Japanese.
  3. No please look at the dates. Where can I find the inernational info dates? I share it with America.Noevmber 11th along with the Uk. Only once/done that's it. In America you have two in May. I am not trolling. I'm surprised you took so long.
  4. ^don't worry about youself ranger. You were nice to me. India didn't have a choice but had to fight to in them? I don't know if you've heard of Sikhs, but many of them fought in those wars. There's actually a big community over here and the UK. They're a minority in your country but there participation in the two world wars is a fuzzy middle ground thing for me. How does there participation make you feel? I don't know your religion so I'd like to hear your thoughts.
  5. No I am not.Consider the month. Please. I share it with America and the Uk Two world wars. If I confused people I am sorry, but this is now a non-textbook answer. Essentially Fire Emblem was released where I live to follow the exact definition of war and peace(two sides) not three or more. Shadow is taking a long time with his answer. I am curious to know if that applies in other countries as well.
  6. Holy smokes has anybody heard of Rutger? Basically he's like the original guy when they wanted to make the series more mainstream but due to timing. His homeland is in the gigntic messy middle of the world, and his critical hit rate is much higher than normal(30%). Also shadow's, what's the name of that movie where the samurai helps out the cowboy? Is the creator's idea like that. I'd really like a tiny mission statement on what his vision for the series was.
  7. So you're saying millions of people in China did not die from the cultural revolution in China? starvation and famine did not occur in Ethiopia. Third world means the countries that jumped all over the place when it came to choosing alliances. India was the leader of the third world back then so they didn't always side with the Americans or the Cold War.
  8. this is a 10 year anniversary thread. I live in the west. The controversy in asia is still going on. I probably would have noticed the controversy sooner had I known how to speak Japanese. No I am saying that outisde of the west, the cold war was a very violent and disturbing time. If you lived in the west(north america and western europe) it only seems like good times cause they had all these sophisticated weapons, economies and things to protect themselves.I was only about 12 when I heard about Advance Wars and 14/15 when I played Fire Emblem. Basically circular overlap. You notice something unique. The guy wears a tunic and doesn't care how he looks. Basically he traveled somewhere else to fight and kill, don't bother judging him for his hair. It's confusing but if you played/viewed the series as a whole you will skip this thing. MODEDIT: please start making sense and also don't doublepost
  9. "osa" is spanish for like a stem. I'm almost done here. You're from India so we you have way way way way way way way way way way more languages to deal with. I've had to ask Shadow who can actually speak Japanese to resolve this. You're from India but I know someone who's from Uganda, is brown and muslim but you would not realize that unless you watched a movie. Hipster where I live is code for left-wing people who don't research there own local heroes. It's very confusing in North America but basically the same guys who think being there being hip are praising some guerilla soldier and they don't even walk to go outside and get dirty. That sounds crazy and warped, right?
  10. because of the connection between 911 and this series. It's not just the atom bomb why we glance over Japan. It's the culture context(relationship between Japan and the rest of Asia)? Is that what the games are trying to imply? I don't know what vision the creator of the series had, but was getting rid of the "apologists/defend the old empire" views one of his desires? I don't know names but I think some people who founded or built companies, some of these people in the 80's held that apologist view. Not trying to scare people with the tunic comment. In 6 and 7 the tunic countries share a border, but in Awakening it's different continent and in 4 its an entire country. I also wonder why in Awakening you did not get to hear much about the princess and Lonquo's perspective, maybe a few others. Basically they need help cause there desperate.
  11. Here's the scene I am talking about. The the guy with the tunic is actually supposed to be the player from Japan. Basically he is a stranger in strange land doing terrible things. The game does not tell you how he feels about his neighbours but it implies he doesn't get along with them(there were plenty of destructive of wars in Asia, it's a lot more complicated than just saying can't we call just get along where I live). In english people don't see this subtle, context "can't we just get a long" cause people will confuse how silly the guys voices sound most of the.
  12. Wow they screwed up Naverre really bad. He feels more like an over the top awesome character instead of a guy with anger issues. He even reads more like Horatio. Does anybody know how set up a broken down Youtube link? The build-up and conclusion to the Caeda dicscussion was so awesome.
  13. Sees a bunch of maps? which is a form of time. Have you watched the whole thing. That's the basic flaw. I would have no idea in the mid 90's what I was seeing. It's clear what they're saying in substitles but it's haha-speed racer style dubbed. They even read through the maps. I get that they wanted to sell the game but they're still in the bandit fighting phase of the adventure. My two friends who aren't familiar with the series think its just about some random dudes who kicks ass cause they like some girl.
  14. It is a time before time.huh? Why do you show maps with borders on them. [ If you guys thought I was being confusing watch this. Now this is the real deal beginning. Fun to watch now, holy smokes what we're you trying to promote?
