  1. Streaming The Great Ace Attorney is fun. My throat doesn't like having to do voices for 3+ hours though.
  2. The only map in Conquest I dislike is the kitsune chapter, and it's the biggest weapon why I advocate the use of Beruka. Wyvern Lord promotion + Arms Scroll + Beast Killer = a high Def and Skill unit with 8 Movement that can kill most Kitsunes in one hit.
  3. You think so? Maybe for Cold Steel I, but at least in that game the combat is pretty fast-paced in comparison to FC.
  4. Now see, that's a fair complaint. FC has a notoriously slow start, which is why the start of arcs in future installments typically have a snippit of gameplay that canonically takes place in the second half of their games. FC also doesn't help itself because you don't get a multi-targetting attack until either you get Olivier (who joins halfway through Chapter 1), or if you somehow manage to gem in the art Aerial before getting him, which likely isn't going to happen.
  5. I change my previous statement: now Ruben is my new best friend.
  6. Friendship with Shrimp ended, now I am my own best friend.
  7. okay retract previous statement: sarah is good sauce
  8. Ban Shrimp for suggesting the use of Ests. Haitaka? More like Hightaka, since he's high up on the "beast" tier list.
  9. "Growing like a weed" is an apt description for a pest like her. Experience she could get can be given to make good units better.
  10. Now y'all just make me want to play Conquest again. And here I am, playing PoR for the first time alongside The Great Ace Attorney...
  11. I mean, Boots is nice, but Shura is an excellent filler unit when the game gives you the space for him, and pairing someone up with him gives them +1 movement anyway. But yes, gotchu homie.
  12. Binding Blade is up there with Genealogy, Thracia, and Conquest for me. Fundamentally it shouldn't be a good experience, but I somehow love it. My Iron Man Hard Mode run on it was a spectatular success. It's a shame about your experience with Niles. In my 10+ runs of the game, Niles has always been a top contender for me, with his high movement, locktouch, reliability to kill flying units, and how easily he contributes to final chapter cheese. He's not a top contender damage output-wise, but his other unique utilities makes him a mandate on my runs. I've found combat-wise he does fall off a bit during the last couple chapters, but easy access to Shurikenbreaker and 9 movement still makes him great.
  13. So I decied I wanted to go down memory lane and visit my first ever screenshot LP on SF, only to find all the pictures are gone. Rip in pepperonis. At least the RBY Randomiser Nuzlocke is still alive! I used Mozu once; she died on Chapter 16 in an Iron Man run and I told myself, "yeah, this wasn't worth it." I find it's enough to have just Niles when it comes to bow users, at least until Shura joins. God, I love Niles.
  14. Thracia is a contender for one of the best FE games #KagaDidNothingWrong. I mean, FE4 is one of God's gifts to mankind, yes, but Thracia's gameplay is something beautiful. Probably up there with Conquest.
  15. I can jive with that opinion. For as dumb as Corrin is in Conquest, that route will always be canon to me. Justice to the game where the final boss is a bow-locked unit.
  16. I think the only chapters I liked in Revelation were 16 and the final one--and the former was only because A Dark Fall came in to save the day. I think most of the chapters in the game are a slogfest with uninteresting gimmicks; the unit balance in the game is atrocious, and the plot is... well, I shouldn't have to say anything there. The only other moment in the game I liked was Takumi and Leo's support chain. I really don't understand how they laid the groundwork for some of the best gameplay mechanics in a Fire Emblem game, managed to make the brilliant gameplay experience that is Conquest, and then compeltely botched the "canon" route of the games with awful map design and objectives. This is why you're the face of this thread. Now that's spicy.
  17. ain't worth it chief. respect your time and play something better
  18. I think my favourite is Phantasmagoria if only because of the chest messages alongside it made for one hell of an emotional experience. To Grasp Tomorrow is really good, though, I agree. I think I like them all except for Spiral of Erebos. More importantly, the best standard battle theme is Burning Throb (it's my current ringtone). I'm not counting boss fight music that ends up being the standard battle theme in the final dungeon here, since if I did The Fate of the Fairies would--and should--trounce everything.
  19. Something had to counterbalance my greatness.
  20. Also hot take: Spiral of Erebos isn't a good final dungeon track. Sorry, Cold Steel III.
