  1. Dude, I'd pay money for a remake of a game where one map is just 3 dudes fighting you in the woods.
  2. Rice and broccoli is indeed fantastic. Add some ranch dressing? Perfect stuff.
  3. Well, how I do chapter 7 is as thus. I put Wendell (or any promote for that matter) in the top left position slot and give him a rescue staff. I then have a mount be a spot under where he moves, so that when he Rescues Marth, Marth is in a better position to move forward. He can still manage to sneak by the heroes without alerting them, while still 4 turning. Your way, however, doesn't use a Rescue use, which makes it far more neat.
  4. Here's the weird thing about seeing this video. I know that the chapter can be 4 turned easily, and I do it all the time while getting all the treasures on top of Physic. However, I don't have Marth go through the forest. Seeing this kinda blows my mind in how you approach it differently. Swordmaster Wendell made me giggle too.
  5. Paula promoted swaps to Paladin, and you can't survive two mages even with holy water? I find that hard to believe, since that's how I deal with those two all the time. As for Paula's speed, that's not really her problem. She's so close to speed caps it hardly matters, as at worst she might need a single wing. It's Str and HP that's her more notable problem. Well, that's how I find it at least. As for Navarre's chapter, I find that you can rig two crits with Navarre at the start for the first two thieves. I think if I recall correctly, if he gets speed he can double hunters? If that's the case, it makes the chapter a bit more bearable since you won't need your fliers to totally focus on them necessarily. He can get I think two levels here, which helps him enter the area of usability.
  6. What surprises me most is that you didn't early promote Paula. Feel that could have made many things much easier for some things (namely, chapter 5 and 6)
  7. Seen some clever stuff in this runthrough, and it's made me actually wanna give this game another shot, surprising since I usually come around spitting venom at this title. The prologue stuff was especially eye opening, and makes me want to actually give Ryan a shot since A. Luke doesn't need THAT much help to be helpful early on with RP use, and B. I've found that Ogma can easily replace Luke in the absence of a really farmed out Luke. One thing I wanna say about RP uses since you seem to be wanting to skim uses on them: Don't be shy about it. You'll probably run out before endgame anyways. They don't boost over stat caps, and for the most part you can't really be too durable for endgame enemies. If you think someone needs it, just use it. Don't think too hard over it. Tried a little testing with Female cav, actually, found your results mostly repeatable. It's a bit more demanding, however, since I need to use all my vulns in pro-1, and i require more stat ups for Luke and Rody (2 Str,on top of the 2 Spd and 1 Def being necessary), but it works. Harder to work with in prologue, but I could imagine something good of a female with awesome stats coming out of prologue with sword rank on top of the Str to put the Lady Sword to best use early on. Keep it up, man! Doin' good!
  8. While you paired Azel up already, I would actually recommend pairing Briggid with him normally. Patty gets innate Pursuit from him, and the magic to put magic swords to use, the range being appreciated by a fragile thief so she can nab money from a distance while still contributing actual damage. Faval doesn't really care who his dad is, because his real dad is Yewfelle/Ichival. Why did they call it Yewfelle anyways?
  9. Having another ranged fighter lets you have other people tank that can still get the kill since you have another chipper, then have others move forward. It's actually not that much harder. That being said, Athena's still clearly better and easier.
  10. I don't know much about the competitive aspects of pokemon, but aren't there some teams that have both Tyranitar and Hippopatos as to sustain sandstorm weather better? People saying Ninetails getting replaced, but I could see DOUBLE SUN POWERRRRR teams being a thing. One dies, you still have another to pull the sun out. Means you could more freely have Ninetails sacrifice itself for the greater good, since it's death no longer means your sun team is automatically drowned in a bathtub. That being said, I like the design of the mega forms. All except Venusaur's. They made the plant bigger and put a plant on his head. Seems a little lazy in comparison. That being said, Charizard now looks even more like a dragon, but he's still Fire/Flying? Probably due to it having Drought thus being a second Sunbringer, but still...He's a damn dragon! Look at him! (so much for Fire/Dragon, huh? AMPHAROS became a dragon before Charizard...)
  11. Well if you're not the sort that has DLC characters, or just prefer more in-game setups, Severa with Vaike as her father can come out well. Speed/movement from her mother, Strength from her Father, can promote to Bow Knight for Skill, and if you're so fargone as to get her to swap to General (which Vaike gives her), you can get a total of Strength+Def+Skill+Speed/Movement. Physical fighters will love her for it. Cynthia's also got it good if you have Fred as her father. Fred has a good amount of time to gain levels and swap to General to not only have her inherit Def (along with giving her an excellent General support which she greatly appreciates), but on top of inheriting either Speed or Move from her mother, she can promote to get the other almost immediately. As for magic rally supports....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....I dunno. Best I can think of is Cynthia with Ricken as her father (a bad idea), or Maribelle with Ricken as the father (yay, Mag+Res+Luck..). Miriel can't exactly give Laurent anything other than Magic, and she can't exactly have a father give her Speed either...If anyone's got a good combo going, I'd like to hear it.
  12. AHhhh, ok. I was waiting on the wrong tile then. Well, question answered. Thanks, guys.
  13. Simple question. I'm getting all the mirage villages, but the last one holding that staff, the entire point of visiting the villages, I don't know what's up. It doesn't appear. The old guy mentioned north shore tree and basically 3 steps. There some sort of trick to it? Do I just go ahead and beat the chapter? First time I've actually bothered trying, looked on FEWoD which doesn't have data up yet, and no info on the main site that I can find (Though I'm notoriously bad at searching for things). Fuck whoever made this chapter, by the way.
  14. Yeah, realized that a bit ago. Feel silly not thinking about that. So, interesting thing about chapter 1. While Fred and Avatar do that, I sent Chrom and Lissa south. Chrom was to pull a bandit to the east, so that I could set up a sweet position. Basically he sat in a cross between Lissa and Virion, passing Sully back and forth between the two to kill the bandit in one turn while healing so that I could immediately pull in the Merc right after. Basically had them take out individual pains away from Fred so he wouldn't get totally swamped/he wouldn't get all the kills. Got a boss kill on Avatar, who now sits level 4. Know it's not Fatatar play, but it worked. 6 turns.
  15. So I finally am deciding to deal with Lunatic in this game. I really didn't want to because I remembered how to play normally rather than LTC, and thus remembered what fun was. However, I decided even though FE12's Lunatic left me scarred for life, I might as well give FE13's Lunatic an honest shot. I'm at Chapter 1 and I'm already stumped. Prologue was actually fairly easy, but then chapter 1 rolls around. It WOULD be easy, if not for this fucker with a hammer cramping my positioning entirely. I feel overwhelmed just because I can't put Fred where I want to, else this guy just jacks him. FE12 was hard as hell, but I suppose there was charm in it's simplicity since you could put a lot to player phase science. This game, feels like I'd have to take several factors into account at once, and my brain is not used to it. I know Avatar, but I dunno how to Avatar. Sad I know. Tips? I'm at least attempting to LTC. Is 8 turns in prologue good?
  16. Just a real quick one I wanna ask regarding the Sagittarius Shard. It's held by George in chapter 8. However, you can kill him in chapter 6 to get Parthia early. I haven't tried it in a while so I would appreciate if someone can confirm it for me, but isn't there some random Sniper that replaces George in chapter 8? Does he hold the Sagittarius shard, or does killing George before Chapter 8 lose it for you forever?
  17. I recall reading that Shu did not want to make a sequel, and if he ever did it would be in spirit alone. I would dig that, because I feel that Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective doesn't need anything extra. It's that kind of awesome, a rare kind of awesome. Just my opinion though. A sequel would still be cool, after all. Did great once, surely can do great again.
  18. He may have tested by having a different partner from Virion. EDIT: I can confirm that Discipline does not transfer.
  19. As a note to Sage, I can say that Maturity Drop and the like are not region locked, since I have the cart as well. It's been a while, but I recall someone you get can reclass to Swordmaster and they'd work...Forgot who it was...Maybe I was just using Navarre? Don't think Minerva can double them...Eh, whatever. I'm sure you have the Royal Airforce, they can help with the effort if need be.
  20. Historically, everyone pretty much pointed out why. Considering this game is a remake, it stands that some standards would carry over. As for actual whys, unlike most characters their bases are actually usable, are unreasonably high concerning their base level, and their growths are quite reasonable (well, Paula's speed growth blows, but she's already so few points away from reasonable speed caps, and the game gives you a grand total of 9 speedwings over the course of the game). On top of this, Paula happens to arrive nearly level 10 in a chapter where you can actually nab a promotion item, which is a huge deal since this game, promotion items are universal. In the original FE3, I think that was actually a Knight's Crest. Considering that Paula alone makes the rest of the army look like the incompetent dolts they are, and that she got a considerable buff in the form of early promotion, she's actually sillier than she is in the original FE3.
  21. Man, Myrm MU still gets no love? Mounted Mega-Lady Sword anyone? Anyways, first known playthrough of Lunatic from start to finish was done by a fellow named Paperblade who used a Female Mage MU, and even has videos on youtube. Mage MU is most certainly one of the hardest to get through (I think only Archer is harder, as I'm pretty certain it's impossible with Archer. Would like to be proven wrong though). Main issue is Prologue 1 where Orphan is pretty much necessary in order to actually defeat Jeigen, and that's if he rolls the lowest HP and Res possible. You may have to do a lot of restarts for early prologue levels. A lot. Otherwise I'd do as others have recommended, and try out Fighter, Knight, Male Cavalier, or Myrmidon. Not sure why people suggest Merc
  22. Well so far I've definitely noticed Patience (real easy to see, namely when you pair Gregor with Nowi in their debut chapter. Nowi having 88% displayed hit on enemy phase and 78% on player phase is pretty easy to spot), and I THINK Discipline works. Not sure what other skills work like this.
  23. I could be very late with this information, but I happened to notice that skills from the partner in the back in a tag team transfer over to the front partner, for example the skill Patience actually gives the partner those bonuses rather than it just applying only to Gregor himself. Also noticed Frederick's partner gaining an absurd amount of weapon rank, and I say this because I was being loony and teamed him up with Virion. Level 10, it's the first desert map, and he's already got B rank. Anyone else noticed this?
  24. I;m only here to mention something interesting I heard on some vod, and I have any idea if it can be backed up, but there were some notions that Sakurai wants the cast to be the same size as Brawl, which doesn't necessarily mean the same cast (hell, Megaman's in it). I believe that's a statement he actually gave. I dunno if he gave one on this next bit though, that being that he wanted to get rid of clone characters. The thing less believable than that was that he has wanted Wolf in since the 64 days (he was at least in the intro for Melee) Now this could mean a couple things. Falco and Wolf get the axe, get do-overs, or someone is getting replaced. Wolf's moveset is at least different enough to consider him the Ken to Fox's Ryu, but Falco's practically a copy/paste. Now if a good majority of the above is true, my money would be on Falco getting replaced or simply axed. Only speculation though like the rest of most these topics. One thing I will say though is that Slippy's only getting in as the world's most epic troll move, and that if Krystal gets in, she's going to be that character no one shuts up about and causes drama for no reason. I'd put my money on Krystal though, since Slippy's exists solely to be hated and shot at. What would his moveset be? Would just be him getting hit witheverything. Final Smash would be him shouting HELP ME, and then he gets hit with a Starfox bomb. No one would play that.
