  1. I gave the Reciprocal Aid thing a try when the F!Robin battle was active (wanted to see if I could get a Still-Water Balm off for the 1st round of combat), it cannot be used if both allies are full. It can definitely be used if the user is not full but the target ally is (I had a Setsuna strat for the Ursula battle that revolved around stealing Julia's untouched HP on turn 2), I'd imagine it can be used if the user is full but the target ally is not, but I have no direct experience with that particular case.
  2. I'm pretty sure Renewal & Falchion stack. I came across a Renewal Lucina in the Arena about half an hour ago and I remember doing a double take on the 1st EP like "wait, she healed 20?". Edit: I had a Fae lying around, so I tried it out. Poor Fae. They do stack though. Or at least Falchion and Renewal 1 do. Edit 2: Works with Renewal 2 as well. Don't have enough SP to do Renewal 3, but I'm not really expecting anything different.
  3. Svalinn Shield can't be passed to Dragons. I believe it's armor-locked. The Lightning Breath/Quick Riposte thing sounds intriguing though... Edit: Ninja'd. So hard. Like, word for word (almost).
  4. 4* Fae ftw. I'm running Fury/Renewal on her right now actually...it's ok, but I've been left wondering if there are better options. I don't have a proc on her yet though...didn't have enough SP to pick one up (and only actually got through 2 levels of Fury).
  5. Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I'm not 100% sure what to do with Eirika either. After sticking Renewal and a couple levels of Fury on her, I went into the Arena and promptly got kicked around by some well-merged enemies, which was...not fun lol. I was also still kinda half-asleep and trying to rush through it so...idk. Hopefully I'm just freaking out over nothing. On Nino...yeah, I see what you mean. I'm actually a bit hesitant on Life and Death because neutral Def/HP can actually eat a hit from +Atk un-merged Hector with a Def buff, which is nice in some situations (read: when I'm too impatient to have Eirika stand in front of him for a turn first lol). I'm definitely leaning toward Savage Blow now...I was thinking a little more combat balance for the rest of the team (43 Spd on Eirika between neutral Spd, Fury, merges, and a Hone looked kinda fun on paper), but I think I agree that that's not really Nino's job. I think I have a 4* Camilla I can sacrifice for the cause...I'll have to double-check. Edit: Glimmer...I think I like that idea, even if it is way overkill in most cases. It fits the way her eyes sparkle as she buries her enemy in a mound of blades.
  6. Normally I prefer to think over/figure out these types of things on my own, but for this, I think I'd like a 2nd opinion... My "go to" team consists of Eirika, F!Corrin, Nino, and Azura. I was thinking of doing the following setups: Eirika (+Atk/-HP): Fury, Renewal, Hone Spd, Pivot, Iceberg/Bonfire. Basically my goal here is to amplify her well-balanced stat line with Fury, bringing her Atk & Spd to on par with most other top reds while maintaining a nice bulky defense line. Renewal is there to offset Fury damage and I'm thinking of keeping Pivot (instead of swapping in, say, Rally Defense to make her even more of a buff-meister) to help guarantee the heal if needed (also I'm kind of used to having Pivot on her at this point). I'm considering Iceberg or Bonfire over an Atk-based proc because her defenses (30 Def & 31 Res as a Lv 40 +2) will give her basically the same results, letting me save the Atk-based ones for other people. F!Corrin (+Atk/-Res): Spd +3, Rally Defense. I'm happy with keeping Seal Res and Hone Atk on her, tbh. I wanted the extra Spd so she won't get doubled by +Spd Lucina, but Eirika buffs will do that too, so...idk, maybe there's a better option? I stuck Rally Defense on her to cover the buff gap, but I'm also considering Swap, given her role of tanking & debuffing. Nino (+Atk/-Res): Not even sure where I want to go with Nino anymore. I know I'm putting some flavor of offense-oriented "Blow" in the A slot. Darting might be overkill since I basically have her tied to Eirika at all times? On the other hand the only person I have that can pass Death Blow 3 is my only 5* Effie, who I'd rather not get rid of if I can help it. Looking over the B skills, I'm not even sure there's anything she really wants/needs. For C...I'm debating between some flavor of Hone/Fortify (probably Atk or Spd) and Savage Blow, which I think would help set up OHKOs or ORKOs on enemies in case I can't get the buff setup I need or am falling just short by a few points of damage. I'm totally lost on her proc. I don't think she needs one, tbh. Azura (+Spd/-Res ... just realized my team actually has 3 Atk boons & 3 Res banes): Wings of Mercy. Spd +3/Fortify Res are fine for what her role on the team is (eat Falchions alive and buff Nino). I'll think up a proc to give her (probably some low cooldown thing like Moonbow idk) when she's got more skill points, but I'm definitely thinking that Wings of Mercy will be more useful than Escape Route for her. So I guess what I'm asking is...are Eirika & Corrin's setups solid, and is there anything I'm missing for Nino's? I've actually implemented most of it, and subsequently lost an abnormal amount of Arena battles. I'm not sure whether to blame that on bad skill choices, the fact that I started running into evil merges because Eirika's rating jumped to ~190, just being tired (it was about 6am after just waking up), or being rusty (I've been running Eirika/Nino/Sharena/F!Robin for the bonus) with the team in the Arena. I figured I'd start by asking if there are any possible improvements to my skill choices and work out the rest later =P . Pretty sure I saw someone say earlier in the thread that Wary Fighter is Armor move-type only. The feheroes wiki skills page has a page for each skill that lists who can obtain it (ex. here's the one for Defiant Atk). You'll have to dig a little deeper into the character pages to see what level they get at each rarity, but it's a good starting point.
  7. Yeah. Just ran into an Arthur in the Training Tower. Unfortunately I didn't bring anyone with a Spd buff to check whether or not a breaker is a hard trump or just negates it, but he doubled Effie when she was over 50%. Time to stick Eirika on the team and go find another =P .
  8. More Wary Fighter vs Breaker weirdness, I was training my Armor team in the tower. An Archer with Lancebreaker doubled Gwendolyn but did not double Effie. Later, an Axe Flier with Lancebreaker and a Brave Axe 4x'd Effie (I remember seeing the 17 damage and going, "ok, I'll just leave Effie here and he won't kill her" → dead Effie → "wait wat"). Is there any possibility that it just causes normal combat to resume? I hate to throw stuff out like that un-backed up...I'll try and put some screenshots together when I get the chance. On the update itself...wow. That's a lot to take in. Looking forward to Skill Inheritance (want to try all the stuff that's been bouncing around my head since it was revealed lol). I'm interested to see how the Hero Merit thing works, and am already (slightly) regretting letting Leo slip by un-pulled from the Princes focus with Xander coming in May for team Nohr, since I've got everyone else...Nobody needs Leo I'll just use my F!Corrin. Better color coverage anyway.
  9. +Spd/-Res is fine. I'd take -Res over -Def, unless you're just fighting the all-mage team of the ages lol. The Res drop won't get her killed by any mage she doesn't have any business fighting in the first place. Notably, neutral Def/HP will let her eat a hit from +Atk Takumi unbuffed and +Atk Hector with a Def buff (and one of her favorite buff-buddies is Sharena so...). Random boon musings:
  10. @Elieson Congratulations! That Draw Back/Wings of Mercy thing sounds hilarious.
  11. @M.T. Cicero No problem. I'd also recommend checking out Ice Dragon's stats thread on this board. That calculator is nice, but there are still some oddities floating around. Looks ok to me.
  12. She's +Def/-Spd. No, promotion does not change IVs. I think that's discussed about 2-3 posts up, actually. Do you mean fighting M!Robin? Or putting him on a team instead of Robin? For the former, M!Robin gives Klein a pretty one-sided thrashing. For the latter, sort of depends on what your team needs. If your team is having trouble with colorless units (like Takumi or enemy Kleins), or needs magical damage, you might want to stick with M!Robin (that's a pretty good IV set, btw...I think some people might prefer +Atk? But +Spd is perfectly serviceable and -Res is his best bane imo). M!Robin can also eat hits from reds, in a pinch. If you're good on the colorless/Red counter front and want a ranged physical nuke instead, it doesn't get much better than +Atk Klein.
  13. My first ever upgrade was F!Corrin. She sees less use now than before, but I still like to put her on my team when I can. Edit: Congratulations, btw! I can't believe I forgot that O.o
  14. Yeah she's just there for the Fortify/Rally and to survive one round. Even 4* would work for that, and would live on something like 7 HP, depending on level. Interesting...Hero Battle characters ftw =P . I was just going to use a 4* Stahl I pulled actually.
  15. The Olivia's one of the map ones bumped to 4 star, with 1 merge on top I think =P . Setsuna is +HP/-Def, Julia is +Atk/-Res. I think Julia should be fine no matter what she is, actually. -Atk still 2HKOs Ursula (exactly, as it turns out) and -Res doesn't take damage when attacking even without a merge. Edit: Setsuna's bane does matter though, looks like she can't have -Atk or she won't hit 32.
  16. Results are in on the Olivia, Sharena, Julia, Setsuna team. Run went almost exactly as I thought it would, the only difference being that I forgot to Rally Setsuna on the 2nd turn lol. Vid in the spoiler, for curious folk.
  17. But with a Dancer you just put Setsuna in the top left on turn 2 where the thief can reach her. Edit: Eh, maybe I'm missing something here. I'll see when I try it.
  18. Setsuna has Reciprocal Aid. Julia has a lot of HP and doesn't take damage from Ursula when attacking, even with -Res. I don't think you need a healer, but I'm waiting on 13 stamina to test my suggestion out.
  19. Yes, I was referring to the two Thieves, not one Thief doubling her.
  20. Setsuna's going to need to be able to survive a 33 Atk Poison Dagger (50 total HP/Def), twice if you want her to handle both of the Thieves (her Reciprocal Aid being the key there. Well...that or Rehabilitate). Julia can eat the HP swap because Ursula doesn't really hit her for much, if anything. Beyond that, you'll want something to deal with the Axe Knight and tank a hit each from the Sword Cav and Ursula (I think 4* Sharena can do it, since 5* lives on 9 HP). I think I suggested a Setsuna/Julia/Olivia/Sharena team to someone else earlier, I'm working on leveling Setsuna to test its effectiveness. Edit: Setsuna will also need 36 Atk to one-round the Thieves. Also, I may be theorizing a little too hard here...but I'm pretty sure Stahl can tank the living daylights out of the map with a bit of Heal/Dance support once Ursula's taken care of (F!Robin, anyone?). So...Olivia/Lissa/Stahl/F!Robin for the full Hero-Battle + Awakening team? I'll have to level Stahl afterward to try it out...I'm really curious now.
  21. Lv. 40 Sharena survives Ursula and the Red Cav with 9 HP, and ORKO's the Cav when he attacks. She'll hit Ursula for 29 iirc (total side note, if 5* Sharena lives with 9 HP, 4* could probably work too). How fast can you train her up (I'm assuming that since you 5*'d her you were planning on doing it eventually anyways =P)? Between her and Cherche you should be alright, probably have Julia and maybe Olivia tag along? That'd be my first guess, though you might want/need Setsuna, now that I think about it. The strat I ran killed the bottom Thief when he engaged, leaving the Cavs to advance/break walls. If the Thief is just baited by Cherche and lives, the Red Cav might Draw him back instead of...whatever he was going to do, which would...well, it'd make things less predictable, to say the least. Setsuna will need 50 combined HP/Def to survive a Thief (46, assuming Sharena's got Fortify Def 3) and 36 Atk to ORKO one (32 with Sharena Rally). Now the tricky bit is, I think you'll also need Julia's HP + Setsuna's Def to be at least 46 (I don't think that's a problem at all). In that case, I think you'd be doing something along the lines of...
  22. Cecilia should be ok, she'd take minimal damage from the Thieves since she's not infantry and has Gronnraven. She'd probably want some flavor of Speed buff if you want her to handle the Knight though (he's got 16 Spd. Mine's only got 20, but she's from a pull and might be -Spd though, I don't remember), and I'm pretty sure Ursula doubles her (at 45 effective atk from Death Blow). Putting Sharena with her wouldn't hurt if you have her leveled, since she can handle the Sword Cav and the Def buff could cut the Thief damage on her to 0, depending on boon/bane (or if she's a full neutral from the Hero Battle map). In other news, Nino, Eirika, Sharena, and Kagero came through for the victory on Lunatic! Yay. Had to make sure Kagero had Retribution instead of Reprisal. Brief turn-by-turn below.
