I'll be cautiously-optimistic and maybe try the demo at some point (I say "maybe" because I have been very busy lately). After playing the demo, it's similar to 13 Sentinels in that it isn't really an RTS. All of the actual decisions happen during pauses, then your actions execute in real time. When any battle or command completes, the game pauses again, allowing you to not only issue a new order, but check any changes to battle outcomes for your other orders (RNG rerolls after every fight) and make changes accordingly.
