FionordeQuester
HE JUST GOES OFF SOMEWHERE AND IS NEVER SEEN AGAIN?! That's ridiculous, that's BS! I heard this as a rumor, and I was so annoyed, that I went to youtube and looked at all the character endings. I was hoping it wasn't true, but I guess it is, so, here's my question, was there any reason, stated by himself or anything else, for him to do this? Was there even any indication anywhere in the game that he was going to do this? Cuz if it is, that ending has got to be the biggest cop out ever... La Yodha Stasella
because he doesn't need a 666 people fellowship to be over nine thousand however character endings never satisfied me, I simply got used to
Seph
It's the Asian way of the hero, I believe.

FionordeQuester
It's the Asian way of the hero, I believe. Yeah...and he abondons Mist, his only family to, never bothers to actually check up on her once in a while, and leaves her wondering whether he's alive or not. Great hero huh? La Yodha Stasella
Mist could be actually married due to her supports, and Ike should bother remaining with her sister and, uh, Boyd?
FionordeQuester
Ike is a man first off. And also, I didn't say he had to continue living with her. She can live on her own with Boyd. But this is what grates me. He never bothers to ever, ever see her ever again?! Even with your far off relatives, you always make time to see them at least once a year for the holidays, and remember, Ike and Mist were very close. So for him to go off and never give a thought to checking up on them or something is just plain...unrealistic to me. It's almost like...GASP...bad story writing! Why did he want to leave anyways? What was so important about traveling that he left behind everything he ever knew? Edited December 31, 2008 by FionordeQuester
Chalis
He was plainly tired of war games, economics, and government. He left to get away from it all because from what Sephiran originally said in PoR, because of his heroism there will be those with contempt and start more messes. It's better than slicing your stomach open.
FionordeQuester
That makes sense I guess. But still, never ever again? Why not just retire? Edited December 31, 2008 by FionordeQuester
Chalis
Wasn't it every man's dream to explore the world given time paradox and such? Retirement means things like bombardment. :(
Just call me AL
There was Micaiah's talk of doing the same thing, but Ike convinced her not to. Maybe it's some exploration on her behalf. And I don't think Mist would really be left out of the loop on where he went.
FionordeQuester
Well, ok not retirement, but living in peace, like Mordecai and Haar.
Chalis
There IS a time when family separates and never sees each other again. It's a little different now because of how easy it is to get a plane ticket, but you get the idea.

Paper Jam
It would have made much more sense if either A: any place other than Tellius had survived the flood, or B: Ashunera had undone the flood. As it is, where could Ike have gone? Edited December 31, 2008 by Paper Jam

Chalis
He went to Jugdral That's a good point. :< Edited December 31, 2008 by Azel
FionordeQuester
Well, here's another thought. If Ike gets an A support with Soren or Ranulf in Path of Radiance, does that change the fact that he goes off never to be seen again?
Chalis
No, he'll just bring them along for the trip of never being seen again. I don't know the exact necessities for paired endings, but Ike leaves every time. Yeah, it sucks aye? Killer Poleax
Yeah, I hate Ike's ending. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would just abandon everyone close to him. But if IS wanted to, his ending opens the door for him possibly being in future FE games. Maybe other continents survived but they're very far away from Tellius. Agro
It's obvious that Ike is Anri, and Galle came back from Tellius with Kurth's blood.
