Comes early or has a scar on his face): Oguma, Dieck, Raven, Gerik. Gatoh Archetype (lategame unit that's very useful): Gatoh, Nagi, Galzus, Sety, Athos, Giffca/Tibarn/Naesala FE9, Royals in FE10. Est Archetype (lategame unit that's underleveled and has good growths. May or may not be useful): Est, Nino, Ewan, Tormod, Sheema Edited January 11, 2009 by Levin

Ϲharlie
I don't acknowledge the existence of any archetypes other than Cain and Abel and maybe Jeigan.
Dr. Tarrasque
Axe Brothers/buddies that join early: Maji and Saji, Lot and Ward, Batre and Dorcas, Othin and Halvan. Lord Raven
Etzel doesn't use dark magic. Badass Swordfighter/Mymidon archetype (These are recruitable enemies, usually have killing Edge): Aira, Shiva, Rutger, Guy, Joshoua, Zihark, Navarre/Nabarl.They're called Navarres actually.Axe Brothers/buddies that join early: Maji and Saji, Lot and Ward, Batre and Dorcas, Othin and Halvan.Johan/Johalva to an extent. Dr. Tarrasque
Etzel doesn't use dark magic. They're called Navarres actually. Johan/Johalva to an extent. Right but that's because Magic isn't categorized in FEDS, it all just falls under "tomes". Etzel is Sorcerer (the equivalent of Druid basically) and that's the only Magic class he has. I know. Only through the fact that they both use Axes and are brothers but those 2 fall under the Alan and Samsom archetype. Lord Raven
Alan/Samson archetype then... Alan and Samson, obviously Johan/Johalva Sety/Cyas (thx Levin) Karel/Harken Nasir/Ena, Tibarn/Giffca/Naesala When does Mist get in trouble?Chapter 2? Dr. Tarrasque
The one for FE5 you're thinking about would be Sety/Cyas. There's also the route characters archetype if that counts... Edited January 12, 2009 by Levin
Killer Poleax
Does pegasus knights count as an archtype? They usually give you at least 3 in each game so you can perform triangle attacks.
Dr. Tarrasque
Does pegasus knights count as an archtype? They usually give you at least 3 in each game so you can perform triangle attacks. Peg sisters maybe. I think it'd end up better in a "Sibling triangle attack" Archetype with the 3 FE RD brothers in it too. Another one I remember... Dragon Knight Traitor: Minerva, Althena, Zeiss, Miredy, Heath, Jill, Haar, Cormag.
Ercdouken
The character who is actually good, but won't join you for a reason and has to be killed arch type (Sometimes can be spared) - Camus, Eltshan, Ishtar, The Reed Brothers, Selena The womanizer arch type - Alec, Saul, Sain Surprised these two weren't mentioned yet. Doga/Draug arch type (Armor unit who comes early to mid game) - Doga/Draug, Ardan, Dalsin, Bors, Oswin, Gilliam. Blue haired lord arch type - Marth, Sigurd, Celice, Hector, Eirika, Ephraim, Ike
Killer Poleax
The overleveled, unpromoted unit that comes early in the game: Oswin (if you skip Lyn mode), Gatrie, Nolan Overpowered character that can only be used in the final mission: Athos, Giffca, Tibarn, Naesala, Caineghis, Lehran Same/similar class characters that join at the same time where one of them has a huge level lead on the other: Marcus/Lowen, Titania/Oscar, Shinon/Rolf, Ranulf/Lyre, Elincia/Marcia, Geoffrey/Kieran/Makalov/Astrid Edited January 12, 2009 by KSFF2150
Dr. Tarrasque
That 2nd archetype you listed is pretty much the same as the Gatoh archetype but just excluding the JAP FEs' characters
Swordsalmon
The Jeigan unit: Jeigan, Alan (FE3), Evyal, Dagda, MarcusThe Oifay unit: Oifay, Seth, Titania Why are they two separate categories, and why do Eyvel and Dagdar count as a Jeigan archtype? Neither of them are a main lord's protector with a pony and similar personality. The 'Jeigan' characters would be the following. Jeigan Aran Oifaye Fin Marcus (Old) Marcus (Young) Seth Titania Sirius Archetype (prepromoted late paladin with good stats and good for Endgame): Sirius, Percival, Geoffrey (FE9), RenningEst Archetype (lategame unit that's underleveled and has good growths. May or may not be useful): Est, Nino, Ewan, Tormod, Sheema Except Sirius joins extremely early, and Percival joins during mid-game. FE9 Tormod or FE10 Tormod? Because FE9 Tormod isn't exactly very underleveled nor late-joining. Also, Sheema already comes as a prepromote and isn't underleveled, and Ewan has pretty mediocre growths. Lord Raven
I think FE9's Elincia could make more of an Est than Tormod, since her growths are actually kinda good if I recall correctly.

Guess "late" (Gotta play FE3 again >_>) was the wrong way to put it. Prepromoted Paladin with great base stats that makes a good candidate for endgame then? FE10 Tormod. True that Sheema's promoted but she's still somewhat underleveled, comes quite late and has good growths.
