It doesn't start getting any good until chapter 11, and even then there's the Begnion Arch that I despise, and even then, you feel kind of empty when you hit several filler chapters (Training and Strange Lands come to mind). It also has the whole race-overtone and a Darwin enthusiast. Characters feel a little bland, Paladins are somewhat broken, you can beat the game in a night, etc. A good bargain game and makes you addicted to it gameplay-wise, not storyline.
