Herr Wozzeck
Funny how there is only Mexican.... ought to be hispanic in my opinion. "Hispanic" is slightly reflexive, though, as there are as many Hispanic cultures as there are countries that speak the language. But still, you have a point... General Spoon
"Hispanic" is slightly reflexive, though, as there are as many Hispanic cultures as there are countries that speak the language. But still, you have a point... And Europe also has many cultures, yet we can still (sorta) generally group them together. Which brings up another point. Why aren't Central and South America on there? burning_phoneix
And you still haven't changed it <_< And aren't these a bit broad? Middle eastern is lumping Isralies and Arabs together You must mean Jews and Arabs as Israel has a significant Arab minority. But it might surprise you that Jews and Arabs are not that different really racially or culturally as both are a Semetic people. As for the quiz I'm completely Arab. And I look the part too brown skin and black hair. I am Jordanian (Middle Eastern), Irish, and Native American (barely though). I wish I had darker skin, I'm as white as Casper. :( Levant Arabs aren't known for being dark skinned. Why aren't Central and South America on there? Very true. And that's a good question, though I think the Hispanic and Native American labels would cover every country in South and Central America except Brazil... Tamara
European. Dutch, to be precise. We traced our father's line back 1600-something and they were mostly farmers and fisherman. Boring. However, some 160 years ago some lord named a forest after us. I know Germans trampled part of the forest to build bunkers and that that area was closed off for many years so nature could restore itself. Apparantly many singing birds life in that forest. My mother is Dutch as well, but her family is from near the border so there is probably some German mixed in.

Evalcin
If "Mexican" is a race, then so is "American". Mexican people are a mix of European and "native" ethnicities, just like everyone else in North America. And considering all peoples can trace their heritage back to someplace else (IE "native" Americans were really from northern Asia and moved to the Americas in a mass migration several thousand years ago), talking about any sort of "heritage" is fuzy business anyways. Cultural bias is the only reason why some people draw the line at their European ancestors rather than their ancient African ones or their recent American ones. There's no rational reason why I would say my heritage is German rather than Ethiopean. So yeah, I was born here, my parents have lived here for a while. I'm pure American. Personally, instead of Mexican, it should be listed as Hispanic instead, considering that there's tons of Hispanic countries other than just Mexico. An example was when I told a friend I was Hispanic ( because it wasn't obvious) they joking told me "What kind of Mexican is that?" Anyways I'm Dominican and my mother's side descended from Spain. ;)
