VincentASM
The Japan Patent Office recently had a new registered trademark listed, which was Dark Dragon and Sword of Light (more accurately 暗黒竜と光の剣), and which was registed by Nintendo. (Source)This may be further evidence that this game will be a remake of Fire Emblem 1 only. However it should be noted that Dark Dragon and Sword of Light was never trademarked originally. Don't know if there's much to discuss, but there's a real lack of real FE1DS news so... Do you think this related to the remake (all the Japanese sites were already claiming it's a FE1 remake), or completely unrelated (Nintendo finally bothered to trademark FE1's name? Hanz
It seems to me like they sort of stumbled upon the fact that they didn't have it registered while they were working on it.
Meteor
They're probably expecting the remake to be a lot more successful, so I would say "yes," this is linked to the upcoming DS title.
uguu
They COULD name it Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light and have book 2 unlockable by beating the game though.
Allan's Aokage
Perhaps both. It's a bit stupid to not trademark the game your remaking. is it not?
Florete
Dang it, I have no clue what any of this means....
Fore
It probably (IMO) has something to do with the upcoming release, although they could just be trademarking it again so that they have the licenses back... I mean... Yeah. You get it. I think. <__<...
Metal Rabbit
Dang it, I have no clue what any of this means.... It means one of two things: -nintendo discovered that they never copyrighted the first FE, and after all these years they want to fix it. -nitnendo wanted to copyright it because they were planning on naming FE11 that. (at least the jap. version) What do you think the title will be in english? I'd bet on just plain FE DS.
Nintenlord
I'd bet on just plain FE DS. Fire Emblem Dark Dragon & Sword of Light Yep, it's FE DS.

Meteor
Haha, I never thought of that. Now that you've shown us, I can't see it being anything else.
