Original Alear
Is there any point to them? Has any one figured out why you'd ever want to give up staves for this?
Dr. Tarrasque
Pointless. Low STR and a weapon with low MT attacking DEF? Not worth it. Only reason you'd give up staff for this is so that your mage could damage low DEF enemies but come on, this is uncommon. CGV
yeah i did it once... once. Try using Calil or Bastian with them and see how you like it
Hibari
Maybe it's to use against high res, low def units like bishops or something.
Kiba
maybe its just for silly fun and games for some people and others its a challenge to try and make their sages uber knife ppl
Bananas
It's so you can do things like this: Sometimes I give Soren knives so he can stab stuff for fun, but it's not really worth it. Staves > Knives
Nestling
This one is better. Also, it's just for this... Calill: What's your problem? You look as if you don't believe me! Well, I suppose I can't hold that against you... It's not often you find beauty like this coupled with intelligence like mine. But it's true nonetheless. Ike: A mage, huh? Well, I guess you can never have too many mages lying around. Calill: Oh, and as a bonus, I'm quite skilled with a knife, as well. Beauty, brains, and brawn... Sigh! The goddess has seen fit to put the abilities of three people into one delectable package. Sounds like favoritism, doesn't it? ...Um...hellooooo? Are you listening to me? There's a beautiful woman talking!
Hibari
I loved that convo. Good times.
Original Alear
This one is better. Moral of the story is frilly overdramatic puffed-up Crimean noble > badass hardened vet Daien noble.
Hibari
And what a moral it is.
Princess Kilvas
It's so you can do things like this: Sometimes I give Soren knives so he can stab stuff for fun, but it's not really worth it. Staves > Knives Lol! Someone posted my video before I did. XD But anyway, there really is no point in Knife Sages. I like to give Sorens knives for lulz and/or a challange. And after so many PTs, staves get kinda boring. XD
Hibari
Now that I think about it, anyone else find it pretty weird that Calill still has her knife in RD but can't use it.

Hibari
I guess. It just seems like the mages were given the short end of the stick. Cavaliers too now that I think of it.

Ϲharlie
Sages were probably given the ability to wield knives with the intention of giving them the chance to do more damage to high resistance enemies. That's a good idea on paper, but obviously it doesn't work out very well in practice.

The only high resistance enemies that have low defense are mages and bishops, and even then, you're still doing more damage with a magic attack. DragonBladeSniper
They probably got bored of all magic users only depending on magic I guess.
