The player can control in some way Luma, while Nana is just an Ai. Rosalina has a better recovery and can actually still recover and fight if Luma is KO. Assuming the status quo of having everything be the same between the versions is gone, all they need to do is add them in, tweak a few things, and they're ready to go. It would kinda be like Pikachu vs Pichu: One is by far more viable than the other and the other choice has really bad weakness that make it bad compare to the other. Nana attacks at a little bit of a delay, and is exactly the same as Popo. She can also grab. Luma's attacks have some differing damage and knockback, as well as acting at the same time as Rosy. However, Luma can't grab. Luma's also killed after 50% or falling offstage but respawns after 13 seconds. ICs are a bit tougher to learn since you really need to learn to keep both alive, whereas Rosy can just stall out until Luma respawns, plus her moves alone aren't too terrible.
