You have Fortify and Physic for distance healing, and in the case of the former, wouldn't you want to keep your units close to each other anyway? Also, while it restores status, you have Restore for that, for one, and second, status ailments are hardly a problem by the time you get it. Not to mention the whole 3 uses caveat.) Yeah, taking damage equal to the enemy's attack power is annoying, but thankfully, you don't see Draco Zombies much (they only appear in the last chapter and in the tenth floor of the Lagdou Ruins). Bows also attack their weak point for massive damage. Fomortiis spends his first turn summoning monsters, even if you're close enough for him to attack. Though I'd watch out for the fact that he can move (he only has 2 move though) and Nightmare. ^Knows that being petrified means that you're open to critical hits.
