While it's true previous knowledge of ST would be ideal for understanding backstory stuff and things, I wouldn't say it's necessary. Yeah my sis insisted that Hijikata was the greatest but I was like nah man nah Maybe I should go play those new games that came out for it... I see That sucks my dude what kind of issues is it suffering exactly depends. I liked Hijikata's because a) the romance didn't overpower the really interesting plot stuff and b) just seemed to... idk, flow nicely. Sanosuke's was fluffy as hell, though. XD Re:Hakuoki yes i mentioned dating sims and then wondered if i should get hakuoki instead. in fact I've wondered this months ago, and was confused by all the versions (and Warriors of Shinsengumi is not a visual novel!). and i was thinking, get PSP or 3DS version? i read comparisons and couldn't find a clear cut better one. i sorta forgot the details tho. Re: Nexus2 it's awesome innit Iirc, the 3ds version has more cutscenes and a few extra CGs? But you can emulate the PSP version now, I think. They're both basically the same overall, though.
