People tend to bash it but screw them; it's one of the few anime series with interesting fillers. Brotherhood's pacing made me cringe. Short version: After that, it's either too slow or too fast. (I'd say the pattern would be 3-5 episodes where nothing happens followed by 1 episode where too much things happen.) The humor was also out of place. They would sometimes put comedy in the middle of a dramatic moment, and it wouldn't feel right, especially since they were mostly recycled and unfunny jokes about Ed's height.
