Also... note the fact that the final bosses in Contra and Super C actually end up becoming chump change in later installments. I didn't know I could earn continues... Good, because they're pretty simple. The levels have been, without fail, harder than the bosses. Hell, you fight two of them at once in Shattered Soldier, and a whole stampede of them in Contra Rebirth (although they're much smaller here).
