Not for nothing it's the 2nd most spoken (at least as a 1st/2nd language last I saw) language in the world. After, obviously, Mandarin Chinese. Either way, except for English and somewhat Japanese I've never been good with learning other languages. Spanish and Portuguese are very similar languages, but I still don't fully understand why Portuguese speakers can kind of understand Spanish by default while the other way around isn't true.
