Because it's creator died, throwing licencing fees through the roof. Who knows if one day they'll go back down, but for now, it's hopeless. Which was unfortunate, considering that meant Banpresto had to axe Giant Robo's plot in Alpha 3. Which is a shame since it was kinda cool. From what I gather, Big Fire would've actually manage to get his hands on the Nashin Gan Eden. But instead we have it's plot cut short at the end of Alpha. What a pity. The thing with Giant Robo is that it was already a cross-over of sorts before making the jump to SRW. That's why the licencing fees got to high. With Tomino's works, and of others, this isn't the case so it's possible once they die, the fees won't suffer such a drastic of a change.
