Vashiane Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 I had to take swimming lessons too, I had a crippling fear of drowning that kept me from swimming well. I just.. kind of floundered around. The swimming lessons helped me conquer my fear, but it doesn't do me much good now. I can swim for about an hour or two before my leg tenses up on me and won't let me. I can last a long time. The second I'm on land though... nope. Can't do anything. I dunno why I never learned to swim. I just ... never did. But better late than never, I suppose. As long as you can swim to save your life if necessary, Vashiane, I say that's good enough. Oh yeah, I'm good enough to get out of an ocean current... but if my leg gives out on me I'm fucked. Yes that's certainly better than in school~ In school we were forced to take x laps even if you were somebody with asthma like me while with friends you can go at your own pace.
