They're moving together since said underwater land would also be on the Pacific plate. Because the plates behave differently. Plates can reshape and stuff, so it's no longer the same plate. For example, there is evidence that the Indo-Australian plate will divide, but you can't call both plates the Indo-Australian, since India will be in one plate, and Australia in the other. Actually, none of them have to do with California, at least not mainly. The closest, Juan de Fuca, affect mainly Washington. California is affected mainly by the San Andreas fault-line. Plates don't always move at the same rates though. I think they will still create a bit of tension between each other, and they're probably not completely flat enough surfaces to just slide together in sync. But even if they will still create earthquakes they will probably be quite weak and not as dangerous. Okay then, they're different things. But at least now you know what I meant, now. But I'm not talking about mainly!! >~< It still affects northern California... Although... even if part of the mainland splits off, won't the pacific plate still be travelling against Cali? I had Dialga on my rain team for a long time...I told you this was a new team...so obviously +2 SD arceus is a problem...Just have no idea who to replace, but my PO friends should be able to help with that. Oh no it's way worst than what you're seen...pity short disappeared. Stall my other great weakness...no patience for it. I tend to forfeit on stall and baton pass. I think they will still create a bit of tension between each other, and they're probably not completely flat enough surfaces to just slide together in sync. But even if they will still create earthquakes they will probably be quite weak and not as dangerous. Okay then, they're different things. But at least now you know what I meant, now. Yes, earthquakes will still happen, yes, they will still affect California, no, the island will not be the epicenter of them or the cause because the Pacific plates move northwest, so it will drift the island slowly away, faster than the North American plate to catch up. What will cause the quakes is the submerged lands, they will rub now at below sea level instead of above sea level. Yeah, there was never a doubt there. No, the part of California that will break off is in the Pacific plate. It's actually not against. Both plates, Pacific and North American, move west. The thing is, the Pacific also moves north, and the boundary line is irregular, so there are points were they rub. I'm sorry if this is making your head hurt. Icon of Sin Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 i've never really liked hyper offense much. it's easy to exploit life orb's drain and anyone with good prediction can get around choice items i just made that team myself, based around arceus cleaning house. some hazards for sashes and status, a spinblocker that can phaze, spread status and waste pp, a weather to support my team well and an all purpose cleaner with great speed i think i've seen enough jirachis between the scarf, rain and bulky ones. they don't surprise me much anymore and there's always a few tricks around them stall happens to be my favorite playstyle. i enjoy slow torture Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
