The fact playing summoner is usually basically playing support to your own minions isn't very appealing to me, really I have fun killing things, not just watching things die YES WE DO. Don't deny it. The Monk already fits the holy warrior while the Barbarian is the tank. Malthael could prove interesting. It's hardly optimal but it was funny and even viable sometimes. Plus there were a lot more uniques that actually felt useful. The only thing I didn't really like was about how hard it was to boost magic power/lower enemy resistance, but blame Blizzard for them not making Energy a useful stat to spend points in. Eastern Sun, and Median to a greater extent, fixed that, though Median's added random shit is sometimes just off in my opinion, while Eastern Sun's grindy nature to get items like ores just wasn't worth it. Essentially they added some proc% to summon something or have an offensive effect. They're not even on the most powerful items, but I did hear they spawn a lot more often now. Money for Blizzard. But even Jay didn't like the Auction House. Yeah. A friend will be gone for a while though, but we should be able to manage without him. Sadly the DM seems to not have much of an attention span on some quests so we're getting bombarded with new ones.
