Marthur Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 Well-rested, the party decides to enter the tournament. They first face a pair of Elemental Witches who seal the party's magic. Thankfully, they're pretty weak and easily defeated. At the end of the fight, Free learns Silnc Magic herself. Our heroes proceed to the second round, where they face a bird tamer and his two Gold Griffons. This fight is also a piece of cake. The third round is against two Trolls and a Sneezer. The Trolls are easily dispatched thanks to Jeni's Guadia's powerful magic. The Sneezer is a bigger threat though as he is both resistant to physical and magical attacks. Still, he is vanquished thanks to Nite's lucky critical hits. They finally reach the final round, where Hoslo, the Guild Chief of the Guadia Meister Guild awaits them and wants to test our heroes to see if they are worthy to face the darkness. Hoslo fights with Mind Guadia and both his disciples. This battles proves difficult because Hoslo's attacks reach everyone. Free starts by protecting herself and Jeni against their attacks while Jeni focuses on healing the party and Nite attacks the disciples. Nilfa manages to confuse Hoslo as well, and the disciples' Guadias are taken down one by one. Jeni then casts Weaka magic on Hoslo which lowers his attack and defense. Nite is the only one who can do any damage to him though, as magical attacks prove to be ineffective. He is the one who lands the final blow. Hosla is pleased with them and hands Nite, Free and Jeni the Blue Brooch of the Guild Chiefs which is said to hold the power of the great Defenders. It proves that our heroes are now true Guadia Meisters! Hosla also tells them to head to Centraan in the overworld to meet the King. After, that the party is crowned as the tournament's champions.
