I think I usually just take my strongest warriors and plow through the enemies, and I generally get through Part 2 in one go. To answer the question, though: 4. Random people I am doing a normal mode playthrough now, and a Dawn Brigade playthrough now. Everyone pretty much caped everything in DB except Fiona, she needs two more points needed in skill.
