VincentASM Posted August 6, 2009 Share Posted August 6, 2009 FESS is Fire Emblem: Sanctuary of Strategy. It was the largest FE forum of its time and one was the first ones to be made as well. It was closed almost a year ago. As for this site, I didn't think anybody was really interested in its history. My memory is pretty crappy, but I think I have most of the important landmarks in my head. The short version is that I created this site to provide supplementary info for FE8 (which had only just been released) and later FE5 (my favourite FE at the time). Eventually I got bored and started expanding and expanding (around that time, EFED was the most prominent FE site, but activity had sort of died - I wasn't thinking of trying to surpass it, but I suppose that's what I was doing). Now that I think about it more... maybe I might've answered too quickly... It might be possible that I found it from the link in FEPlanet, but... my best guess is from searching for FE webz... Actually, a few members here were/are members at the other places. When activity falls, it falls. We aren't at competition with anyone. I searched for a Fire Emblem Guide (just to see if there was anything I missed) and this site came up. I lurked around the forums a little bit before joining (about a month lol). Probably had a different name too, but can't honestly recall. (Other users have mentioned it being "Angel Sword", but that name isn't ringing any bells at the moment.) Anyway, I bookmarked it for handy reference. Probably forgot about it, or lost the mark, because when I was in need of information again, I stumbled across FESS forums, and signed up.
