Junkhead
Not the most useful, Seth would be, oubviously . I'd say Rennac, yeah, LOL, but since I always make Colm my assassin I just stick with Rennac for picking and stealing. I also train him as a fighting unit, 2 Energy rings and various Goddess Icons work quite well. By the way...this isn't for avaibality and usefullness, just so you know... Scarlet
Seth. If we're disregarding availability, Duessel might be able to compare, but otherwise, Seth simply takes the cake.
Colonel M
Seth and then Ephraim Duessel. Ephraim Duessel just looks at everyone else and says "lulwhut?"
grandjackal
It's Seth. Deussal shows up to be Seth 2.0, but Seth is still Seth. Seth is best, the end. I am a fanboi of Rennac though
Colonel M
Yeah but look. --/10 Seth's durability: 38.6 HP | 14.6 Def | 10.7 Res Base Duessel: 41 HP | 17 Def | 9 Res Lulz Duessel is still tankier with raw stats.
Junkhead
EDIT: I made a poll.
21_21
I'll admit it. The first time I ever played Fire Emblem, I fell for the jeigan trap, and I guess it was worth it. Seth didn't turn out bad for me.
Junkhead
Seth is an Ofaiye, he'll usually turn out good for anyone :) .
Ardan
lol @ the poll. Seth is just far too strong, although Saleh and Duessel deserve honorable mentions.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
There's no need for me to discuss since Seth is arguably the best pre-promote of all time. Also, the only use that I have for Orson are his weapons which I end up taken them and give them to Kyle or Forde on that chapter. I always wondered if I was the only one who did that. ;o Salah is Awesome. Seth wins though ;)
The Envoy of the Beginning
Too one-sided. Seth wins due to amazing combat, horseback utility, and long availability. No one else can compare.
Rewjeo
Saleh is my favorite, but there is absolutely no doubt that it is Seth.
Jaybee
Seth. Why is this topic still here? Seth is the epitome of pwn.

Junkhead
All bow before the might of DOZLA Dozla would be great if it weren't for his below-average Spd...he has the same growths as Bartre, which aren't bad at all actually. _____
All bow before the might of DOZLA No man, Syrene's a hot chick. Insta-win!
DragonBladeSniper
Just to be different, I vote for Duessel! Seth is more useful though.
Junkhead
I said usefulness doesn't matter when voting, consider that.
Dr. Tarrasque
The generic reply: Seth.
Loki Laufeyson
Seth. He can be outclassed and usually is (if you arent a dumbshit). However he is more powerful and ends up better in the long run out of all the other pre-promotes. Hes actually the only "Jeigan" type i tend to use throughout the entire game. (Even creature campaign)
Candlejack
I'm not going to call Seth overrated. Because he truly WTFPWNS the entire game. But Duessel could viably beat him. Anyone else would be considered null for use, save Eirika Saleh, but even then, LOLSETH. Duessel has got a better STR and DEF growths, regardless of the difference, and still has awesome stats all around. His only problem stat is SPD, but even then, he has A's in the WTC, so he could S-Rank axes, get Garm's lovely +5 in SPD, and overpower and overtank Seth. The only things off the top of my head Seth has is availability, MOV, and RES. Oh, and to quote smash_fanatic, for once being right about something: "I also have a 15 inch penis- I mean, 15 con." Paraphrased, I know, but still. Duessel is being ignored right now. Or maybe I am just a loyal fan of the "Old Awesome Guy" Archetype in FE, i.e: Renault, Duessel, Athos, Renning, etc.

I have the same fanatism too those guys...haven't tried Renning, though. But yeah, I always thought Seth was overrated, Duessel is awesome in both rutes since he's a good tank and has awesome Str. Candlejack
Yeah, Seth IS being a bit overrated, but he deserves the praise. I just think Duessel is better.
