Except according to what I was taught you use "I have" for a bunch of things you wouldn't in English. Like "I have hunger" instead of "I am hungry". J'ai faim instead of Je suis faim.

No idea if Quebec french and France french are different for this, or which one they tried to teach me back in school.

I learn France French so it's jai that way too...

I mean, it technically makes sense, but it's just... weird, in English.

A lot of things in French are weird in English...

"Dis, toute le monde! Il faut faire tes devoirs!" Which literally would be... "Hey, all the world! It is necessary to do your homework!" Yeah, try getting friends by saying that kind of stuff.
