I'm aware that is likely because of how little it has in common with musicals. Fixed that for ya. That's Andrew Lloyd Webber's problem, ever since he wrote Cats in '82 he has created his own musical subgnere, hard to explain, but true. I've never actually watched JCS, so I'm sure it could be okay. I just don't think I could stand sitting through les mis or streetcar or those things. JCS is basically rock in musical form. It's odd how you can sit through POTO, yet can't through Les Mis while the latter is thousands of times more accesible due to having a multitude of genres, rather than an opera focus. It's...illogical. Also, Les Mis has one of the best stories in musical theatre, best character development (unlike POTO which only develops the 3 main characters) and best chief song and ensemble song selections ever.
