Yeah, let us load everyone full of statboosters which appear in what? C21

They appear earlier.

@Kai: Exept this is FE6 where, you know, most physical units have a crappy Res growth, at least pay attention to most cavaliers, at least Marcus & Percival have a good base but that doesn't save them from the same trouble from Bishops, does it?

It is a common problem that shouldn't even be taken into consideration, the thing that Treck is most lacking are good supports.

Rutger is a bit reliant on criticals against tougher enemies, that's right. But who really cares if he can get 69 Crt before Killing Edge / Wo Dao, combined with doubling? He kills literally anything he comes across, and his Avd also is pretty damn awesome. He faces WTD against wyverns, which is annoying, but the steel and javelin ones are so idiotically inaccurate, they likely won't hit him even with WTA. For example, let's say Rutger has 20 Spd (unpromoted) and 6 Luck and gets 20 more Avd from supports (A Clarine, C Dieck or something). That's 66 Avd. Steel Wyverns usually are unable to surpass 80 Hit. They probably won't ever have more than 25 Display Hit against Rutger, and Rutger won't always stay unpromoted; once he promotes and gets even more speed, the wyvern's hit rates likely won't mean anything to him any longer. He has to watch out for the wyvern lords, but anyone not an axe user has to do so, and he can still laugh at them if you park him on a forest or a mountain.

Dieck, on the other hand, joins a bit earlier, but his bases aren't quite as overkill as Rutger's. Dieck is still kickass, but he actually has trouble doubling some of the faster crap (yes, even some of the fighters in his joining chapter) whereas Rutger never has any problems doubling. Dieck gets axes upon promotion, but all this really does for him in comparison to Rutger is to even out their Avd a bit with WT control and improve Dieck's offense - but Rutger already kills everything anyway, so who gives a damn? And Dieck still doesn't double some of the faster crap.

I'd actually say it's getting an 1-2 range weapon (hand axes) vs. doubling and killing EVERYTHING. And Dieck has two chapters more availability, but I feel that those are being heavily overrated, seeing how in chapter 3, he actually isn't even that great with all those loldiers around that he has WTD against. And then in chapter 4, Rutger joins and instantly completely outclasses him. Yes, Dieck still has Steel Blade h4x for a while, but that only gets him so far. It doesn't magically allow him to ORKO crap that he couldn't before if he's simply unable to double it.

Long story short, HM!Rutgar > Dieck > NM!Rutgar

So during chapter 21 you let Dieck slay the reinforcements?

Then he cant prove his ability

Dieck should be the one that attacks head on

Every army should have a unit that takes on the reinforcement

Dieck is not one of them

I cant explain it better then that sorry

Ability? He's useful from earlygame and later on, and there's no point in leaving someone to take care of the reinforcements when they should be moving with the rest of the group, especially Rutger since he supports Clarine and she constantly moves here and there healing others units unless she bears a Psychic.

Efficiency makes the game interesting. What fun is it to Arena Abuse something and just stomp the enemies? No fun in that IMO. I love the challenge of things.

On an unrelated note, I honestly like Dieck a bit better because of Hero being a ridiculous class, but Rutgar is pretty boss as a boss killer (Sacae stomp machine vs. bosses). Dieck gets some pretty ridiculous promo gains though and his Lot support makes him durable as they come. Rutgar isn't exactly lacking in the durability department, but I don't exactly like gimping on Avoid. Either way, both are cool beans.
