Life
Chapter 26 - Battle Before Dawn Team: Eliwood, Lowen, Serra, Priscilla, Lyn, Florina, Raven, Lucius, Legault, Ninian, Isadora, Rath, Pent, Louise, Nino (Turn 8) Strategy: Oh god, this level can go crawl into a hole and die. Three Silver Sword Heroes down the left side and Ursula's basically immune to Silence. Not even Pent could get more than 0% Hit on her. Isadora rushed the right side, followed by Raven (who promoted), Serra, Eliwood and Legault. Legault managed to block off the thief in the right treasure room and steal a Lockpick and the Delphi Shield before killing for the Rescue staff. Eliwood recruited Nino who was then rescued by Isadora and brought over to the Jaffar. The left side had the rest of the team trying to not die as they moved into Ursula's range. A promoted Florina eventually criticalled her to death with the Killer Lance and the rest of the team just picked off the stragglers. 16 mandatory turns but the Tactics count is apparently 20... Go figure. Life
Chapter 26x - Night of Farewells Team: Eliwood, Lowen, Matthew, Priscilla, Lyn, Florina, Raven, Fiora, Legault, Ninian, Rath, Pent, Harken, Nino, Jaffar (Turn 1) Strategy: I promise I won't complain about how hard these chapters are anymore. But when Sonia one-hits both of your thieves with Bolting and they need empty inventories to loot as much shit as possible, life gets a little unfair. That Bishop with Berserk also sucks. But since he holds an Angelic Robe, you can't kill him right away. Florina basically cleaned up the Wyvern Rides at the south before heading north (stopping to take out the Nomad Trooper on the way). Fiora picked up Legault (who held a Lockpick) and basically carried him to the northern part of the map, dropping him on the platform with two staircases (out of Sonia's range). Everyone else moved across the bridges, killing everything in sight. After Pent hit the Bishop with Sleep, the two Peg sisters chain dropped a Barrier boosted Matthew onto the platform to snag the Robe (and tank a couple of Bolting shots). Afterwards, Flo cleaned up the chest platform while everyone else went to Sonia. Lyn snagged the kill with Flo, Harken and Rath helping out. 16 turns to clear which is actually two turns faster than I wanted to clear it. But I'm starting to feel that tightness in the Tactics count (I need about a 13 or 14 turn clear in Cog of Destiny) after this chapter. Life
Did you have Pure Water or Barrier with Physic support? That should help your thieves. Barrier and Physic support. The problem is that Legault (or Matthew) need 3 open spots to grab the treasure chests at the top of the map. Since Merlinus doesn't join you for this chapter, they either need to hold just a Lockpick or just Chest Keys in order to hold a Pure Water. Since I prefer my thieves be able to defend themselves and both my Pegs were doing other important stuff, I couldn't double back to trade away the found items. It's insulting, really. Legault just barely got OHKO'd (Sonia has 31 Atk vs. Legault's 28 HP and 3 Res) while Matthew needed a healthy dose of Barrier/Pure Water to live (26 HP and 1 Res, minimum of 6 Res needed to survive). I actually had to keep redoing the chapter until Sonia missed Legault twice. Edited April 10, 2010 by Admiral Lifey Crunch
Balcerzak
Couldn't you trade a Lockpick to Jaffar at the start of the level and let him do the chest duty? Obviously he can't steal things, but that isolated island in the upper corner could be his, and he comes with three empty slots to start with; swap his Elixir for the lockpick, and trade his Killing Edge for Iron and he should be set, right? Life
Couldn't you trade a Lockpick to Jaffar at the start of the level and let him do the chest duty? Obviously he can't steal things, but that isolated island in the upper corner could be his, and he comes with three empty slots to start with; swap his Elixir for the lockpick, and trade his Killing Edge for Iron and he should be set, right? Didn't think of that idea, to be honest. I forgot that Assassins could pick locks. Either way, I was trying to get a support between Jaffar and Nino going. Jaffar also hit Silencer on the Silver Lance General, giving himself something like 94 Exp from that kill. Which was slightly ridiculous, mind you. Turns out that I'm not killing Funds but I have enough for 3 promotions or Lyn and someone. I'm thinking Lyn's getting a promo (I am NOT wasting 14 Str when she should have 11~12) but I'm not sure if I should promote Prissy or make sure that I pass Funds (for me, it's the hardest rank to 5* because of my tendency to use expensive weapons and promote a ton of people). Life
Chapter 27 - Cog of Destiny Team: Eliwood, Lowen, Hector, Matthew, Priscilla, Lyn, Florina, Raven, Lucius, Legault, Ninian, Rath, Pent, Louise, Harken, Vaida (Turn 9) Strategy: Well, that was surprisingly easy when compared to the last two chapters. Lyn (promoted), Rath, Prissy and Lucius went on the lower path, Lowen and Hector stood their ground in the center while Eliwood, Ninian, Pent and Louise supported them and Florina and the two Heroes went up the right path. Legault and Matthew stole everything stealable (Antitoxin, Elixir, Blue Gem, Light Rune and Guiding Ring) and everything went dandy. Vaida got recruited on turn 9 and barely did anything (she wasted a use of that 9000G Spear on Eliwood and I wasn't about to let her throw away more money). Linus went down easily on Turn 12 while Pent and Louise mopped up the rest of the Wyverns by the end of Turn 13. Thank god that this isn't a seize chapter. Life
Chapter 28 - Valorous Roland Team: Eliwood, Lowen, Lyn, Pent, Louise Strategy: Louise is awesome. Seriously. She'll dodge almost anything. She and Pent went up the left side, killing and healing when necessary. Lyn and Lowen took the right and Eliwood obviously went down the middle. Life
Last couple of updates for ENM! Chapter 29x - Battle Preparations Team: Eliwood, Lowen, Hector, Priscilla, Lyn, Florina, Legault, Rath, Pent, Louise, Harken, Jaffar Strategy: Buy what I think I need and hope that Jaffar nails a couple of Silencers in the arena. What sucked is that I actually have 4 stars in Funds thanks to the previous chapter (it's got a requirement of 101000G which is stupid). I'm still at 4* afterward (20k and change over the limit) but fuck it, I've got a save (not a savestate but an actual hard save) right before Cog of Destiny with Lyn still unpromoted. Still a 4* but I can taste it. Anyway, there was absolute chaos in all three directions. Lyn took Pent and Louise up north and destroyed everything before recruiting Renault, Hector, Lowen, Rath and Eliwood massacred the middle and the two Heroes and Florina took the southern route and came out unscathed. Nergal went down in 8 turns and the dragon kicked the bucket in 2. Figure I don't need to post the stats this time. HNM next, or EHM? Gave 'em to Lyn. They upped her defense a little bit over the norm. It was between her and Florina but I figured that I'll use Flo more often than not and that I might as well give them to Lyn. She's also one of my favourite characters. The drops cost nothing. I figure I'm going to give them to Erk/Lucius/Bartre on my HNM run, Nino on my EHM run and Kent/Florina on my HHM run. HNM's next. I'm currently doing LHM for it but I'm going to fail Tactics thanks to grinding Nils up to level 7 (unlocking 19xx). I'll still grab the White Gem from 5* Funds, though. Well, the Normal modes actually have stricter Tactics counts than the Hard modes. But the Hard modes kill you in regard to Exp. Those 0 chapters are going to be great for Exp because now I don't have to spend 8 turns in the arena in FFO (AKA the reason why Rath got promoted). Life
Had an exam on Wed and a final presentation yesterday. Haven't had much time to start HNM but I shall now. Notes before I start: I am promoting Bartre on this run to get Karla. I probably won't get Farina though, thanks in part to me beating the Funds rank by a mere 10k. Life
Chapter 13x - The Peddler Merlinus Team: Hector, Eliwood, Marcus, Lowen, Rebecca, Dorcas, Bartre, Oswin, Matthew, Serra, Guy Strategy: Matt and Guy stay south, Bartre guards the west bridge and everyone else goes north. Rather easy chapter as Puzon went down easily. It's very similar to my ENM version except that Eliwood went south to deal with the pirates, cavalier and bandit. 9 turn clear so that I could visit both the Armoury and Vendor. Oh well. Edited April 10, 2010 by Admiral Lifey Crunch

Life
Chapter 15 - Talon's Alight Team: Hector, Marcus, Lowen, Bartre, Oswin, Matthew, Guy, Erk, Priscilla Strategy: Protect the throne room. Literally. Oswin, Erk and Hector covered the north door while everyone else blocked off the main entrance. Matthew stole the Lockpick from the thief and then booked it to the treasure room. Life
Chapter 16 - Noble Lady of Caelin Team: Hector, Eliwood, Marcus, Lowen, Rebecca, Dorcas, Bartre, Oswin, Serra, Erk, Priscilla, Lyn (Turn 1), Kent (Turn 1), Sain (Turn 1), Wil (Turn 1), Florina (Turn 1) Notes: I'm changing Strategy to Notes. It'll probably be more interesting this way. - Lyn's group is nicely leveled, especially with Lyn starting at 8.62. Since I'm going to use her when trying to kill Kishuana, I let her snag the Bauker kill. - All my guys were missing here. Bartre missed a 70, a couple other people missed some 80s... It got kinda infuriating. - Eliwood's bases officially suck. To 2RKO the bandits right now, he needs to use one use of the Rapier and an Iron Sword. I could give him the Iron Blade for extra damage (and even more suckage because he only has 8 Spd) but I'm saving it for Raven like usual. - Somehow, Wil's stats are actually pretty nice. I'm thinking that I might promote him (this run will be hilarious with Wil, Bartre and Karla all failing) because I want to see what Snipers can achieve. I need to beat 275 turns on average to 5 star Tactics, something that I bet I can do. I just don't know if I'm going to go to 19xx. 32x is out of the question though because I refuse to fight Generals.
