The Divine Swordmaster
Basically the animals that dont have a pokemon equivelant My picks would be: Swan Panther(Persian Evolution preferably) Earthworm Chimera(Girafarig evolution preferably) Ant Polar Bear Hawk Falcon
El Rey León
Axolotl.
Phoenix Wright
Axolotl. Whooper? Also, I want to see a lion Pokemon, a tiger Pokemon, and another wail Pokemon (oh my!). Another shark Pokemon would be cool too (whatever idiot said "a half-shark named Sharpedo would be AWESOME!" was sorely mistaken). NinjaMonkey
Chimera(Girafarig evolution preferably) Isn't that a mythical creature, rather than a real animal? Anyway, I'm going for: Amoeba Llama Lion Dodo Zebra
Phoenix
Wyverns, and Pegasi. No charizard doesn't count.
The Divine Swordmaster
Isn't that a mythical creature, rather than a real animal? True, but when I see Girafarig I cant help but think "Chimera" besides it made up of different animal parts, so it counts in a way ;) Anyway, I'm going for: Amoeba Llama Lion Dodo Zebra Luxray? NinjaMonkey
Luxray? It doesn't look particularly Lion-y to me...
Just call me AL
It doesn't look particularly Lion-y to me... Bonus points to one who knows where the following quotes came from. Its appearance is based on that of a fully-grown lion. It has three rings on the backs of its legs, similar to Luxio (which has two) and Shinx (which has one) and has red eyes. Luxray is based on an adult male lion. Or possibly, the constellation Leo, due to the fact that it resembles a lion and bears a star shape on the end of its tail. BTW: Wasn't Pidgeot based off a hawk or falcon? Edited April 10, 2010 by Little Al
Phoenix Wright
Bulbapedia. :D
Just call me AL
I dunno if the option would be meh/crappy, but I would like to see a Pokémon based off an actual pigeon and/or dove. And to those who missed my "Wasn't Pidgeot based off a hawk or falcon?" question, no. Pidgeot doesn't count as a pigeon despite the name. I'd also like to see a Pokémon based off a hedgehog. And I think that if a Pokémon based off a polar bear were to be implemented, it might be an alternate Teddiursa evolution. Just saying. Emeraldfox
Hawk Falcon Isn't like, Staraptor based on one of those? Platypus Dolphin Hamster Cheetah Narwhal Oh, isn't Sandslash based on a hedgehog anyway? Edited April 10, 2010 by Tenshi Hinanawi

Just call me AL
Isn't like, Staraptor based on one of those? No, Staraptor's actually based off a starling. Oh, isn't Sandslash based on a hedgehog anyway? Again, no. Although in Sandslash's case, it's based off a pangolin.I know Wikipedia isn't the best of sources, but I was too lazy to look up anything else. Raticate is a Hamster (sort of)No it's not. Parrhesia
I want more ferrets. A star-nosed mole would be nice, too.
Emeraldfox
No, Staraptor's actually based off a starling. But Staraptor is clearly a bird of prey. Starlings aren't.
Just call me AL
But Staraptor is clearly a bird of prey. Starlings aren't. A bird of prey is where some of the inspiration for it came from. That doesn't mean it was based off of one.
Emeraldfox
Yes, it does. Staraptor is clearly based off a hawk or falcon. Now Starly, Starly is based on a Starling.
Parrhesia
To understand Pokemon, throw away all knowledge of evolution. Starly = Starling. Staraptor = Raptor that evolved from a Starling.
Original Alear
The Alpheidae, or pistol shrimp, creates a "snapping effect" with one of its claws that can kill small fish. The sound is not actually made by the contact between the two "pincers" of the claw, but rather by bubble that forms between the pincer. The snap can also produce sonoluminescence from the collapsing cavitation bubble. As it collapses, the cavitation bubble reaches temperatures of over 5,000 K (4,700 °C).[10] In comparison, the surface temperature of the sun is estimated to be around 5,800 K (5,500 °C). This is totally IMBA and overpowered in real life, the only way the pistol shrimp is going to be tiered in any fair competition is by going into virtual reality. His talent is wasted on the ocean. Seems like pokemon is a good place to start for this little guy, maybe he can make it into smash brothers from there.
The Divine Swordmaster
Perhaps Staraptor is the combination of a Starling and a bird of prey? I wonder what Spearow is based off of sinces its clearly NOT a Sparrow Also anyone else think that a Armadillo pokemon is long overdue? That and a Squid... AND LOBSTERS!!! gotta have that too Edited April 10, 2010 by The Divine Swordmaster
