It's for NES. It's a post apocalyptic type game. An evil Emperor takes over. You have to visit towns and collect weapons and items to assist you. Gameplay is similar to Legend of Zelda, though is more combat oriented, less puzzle-oriented.

Stopped playing it a little while back (read 2 days ago), because I have no idea what to look for in that first forest.

Maybe I should just go look it up in a walkthrough, and play it again.

I've heard the game is pretty grind-heavy and I don't want to add another game to my rotation when the other ones already involve heavy grinding.

But from the short time I played it it looks and plays lovely and the music was great as well.

It's not that bad. Max level is only 16, if that means anything.

Yeah, I've played through the GBC version of the game. My suggestion is to get some maps online somewhere, since there's no world map in game and it can be difficult to find where you need to go.
