I think WotC recycled that spell description into a DnD power somewhere, because I've seen it before, and I think that's where I saw it. Except it was:

"Someday, someone will defeat me. But that day is not today, and that person is not you."

Or something.

That doesn't work, because it effectively acts as a counterspell.

I think. Maybe.

Nope. It exiles all, so it doesn't counter and it will work.

Also, Mindbreak Trap also works for the same reason. It does work on uncounterable stuff.

I'm not sure, though, since it specifically says it removes them from the stack first, which is what a counter is meant to do.

Well, I know for a fact that exiling a spell overrides 'can't be countered'.

I've seen my Emrakul get hit with a Mindbreak Trap. Not fun at all.

Oh, oops, I read the card wrong. I thought it first said to remove them from the stack, and then exile them.

Which would be weird. And Emrakul can be countered. He just has protection from colored spells. That doesn't work on cards like Mindbreak Trap that don't directly target him. Same would have worked with, say, Wrath of God.

Edit: Ha, oh wait, he can't be countered. Ha ha, I'm crazy.

Yeah, okay.

Wrong!

The first line of Emrakul:

"Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can't be countered"

(I'm reading the card as I write this.)

He also has protection from colored spells. Which is why I generally have an Oblivion Ring saved for use against him.

One minute too late.

One minute too late.

Something like that.

Not like it's impossible to deal with Emrakul:

O-Ring, Journey to Nowhere, Day of Judgement, Jace 2.0 (-1 unsummon), Gideon Jura (-2 ability), etc.

Stuff like Consuming Vapors also works.
