Janissary
Chapter 4: 7/25 I rushed Marth to Merric's village while luring the Horseman down with Cain and his Javelin for some chip damage. I followed with Jagen and Merric KO the Horseman next turn and having Bord hit the Knight with his Hammer. I charged Marth. Boss Kill was Cain. Chapter 5: 5/30 Marth max moved and got the bosskill on Enemy Phase 4. Jagen flew around and Silver Lanced various weak enemies. Cain killed stronger enemies. Merric killed anything near him. I sacrificed some faceless units. Edit: Chapter 6: 7/37 This one took a little more of thought. I had to slightly detour Marth off his line to the throne to pick up a kill or two to allow Merric a free run as far as he could to Excalibur the boss. Ironically enough, Marth still got there first and then crit killed the boss on Enemy Phase 6. I recruited Rickard and picked up all the treasure but the Killing Edge. I then played 6x in around 15 turns since it does not count for our turn count (under 20 turns) and used the chapter to feed Darros and Bord some kills as Mercs in hope for speed, get Rickard some expirience on the weak axe users, and kill a bunch of characters. I am now pausing my playthrough until the end of the draft or until both Bantu and Tiki get picked. I am also too lazy to update my stats, sorry, haha. Janissary
Chapter 7: 6/43 This one actually took a little more thought, I probably did about 5 times due to my desire to rush Merric to get the boss kill. Jagen also rushed un order to abuse a Ridersbane. This rushing led to a lot of Merric death, so I had to reboot a fair bit. Eventually I made it through with some vulnerary support and Merric raped the General. The White Wings hadn't even left yet, so you know I raped them. I love me some Exalibur. Deliriyum
You're really benefiting from having a bunch of Male Class 1 units. Those Cavs must be nice. Yeah they are really helpful. And post promotion I can freely switch them to DK for more mobility or Sniper in the smaller maps. Chapter 6(6/33) This chapter was tricky. Abel didn't have such a huge role as before. The star was Hardin because he can use a silver lance. So they all chugged on through, I had units I wanted dead block the northern door once they got there. Abel and Hardin teamed up on the boss and killed him. Marth got a near perfect level up, which offsets Vyland's and Abel's poor levelups Name Class Level HP ST MG SK SP LK DF RS Marth Lord 8.12 24 9 0 6 12 12 8 0 Jagen Bishop 4.49 25 1 3 9 5 2 6 8 Abel Cavalier 13.58 28 13 0 13 17 5 9 0 Nabarl Cavalier 7.25 24 10 0 3 8 11 9 0 Hardin Cavalier 8.49 24 10 0 8 9 3 8 1 Vyland Cavalier 3.01 21 6 0 3 7 3 7 0 Chapter 7(7/40) I didn't like this chapter I couldn't kill the boss on the turn I wanted, and a few people were very close to dieing. Deliriyum
Wow, chapter 8 is really hard. Chapter 8(5/45) This was difficult at first because I needed 3 people to block the first chokepoint, 2 people on the boss, and two people to block the second chokepoint. I had freshly recruited Roger, Navarre, Jagen, and Caesar on the first chokepoint, Hardin and Abel went for the boss, and Vyland and Athena got the 2nd chokepoint. I had to sacrifice Shiida at one point no loss there, she recruited everybody she needed to recruit. Janissary
Chapter 8: 5/48 Like Core said, this chapter is pretty challenging. I finally broke through by abusing Jagen's Ridersbane, Darros' Hammer, and Cain's general ownage to handle all the relevant enemies. Bord handled the Archers, and Merric killed two enemies as he rushed the Boss with Marth. Chapter 9: 5/53 This was another map that made me think a little. In the end, I used DracoKnight Jagen to fly around, Pirate Bord and Darros to skip the middle landmass, and Cavaliers Merric and Cain to rush everything up the middle. Marth followed and got the Boss kill on enemy phase 4. Chapter 10: 8/61 I think I did this chapter as fast as it can be done. I had to balance a lot of my goals (get the two chests up top with Rickard, get Cain to the back Hero to get the Master Seal) with the main goal of getting a low turncount. I ended up sticking to my guns and rushing Marth, Mage Merric, and Cavalier Cain around the Fort, while Paladin Jagen, Rickard and Fighters Bord and Darros went into the fort to get the treasure and kill the Archers. I did everything great until I tried to kill the Hero. Without Cain doubling, he would have needed an extra turn to get the Seal, and Jagen couldn't quite get into Javelin range, so I moved on without it. Chapter 11: 9/70 Coming into the tournament, this the level I was really dreading. I switched Bord and Darros to Mercs for some speed, Merric to Cavalier for rushing, and I just ran, ran, ran. I used my 5 faceless characters to distract the Pegs and balistaes until right at the end, killed Khozen with Cain, and was overall happy with my turncount. Chapter 12: 8/78 This is without a doubt the hardest map due to the fact the desired route is directly blocked by a General and Sniper combo that is brutal. Merric stuck with Cav to get some WXP, and I used Cain, Bishop Jagen, Marth, and Bord to break through the General and Sniper. Rickard (and Marth a bit) looted the main chest area, getting a Master Seal. Marth also killed Heimler on enemy phase for the second Master Seal. In 12x, Merric hit the D Swords rank milestone, allowing him to use the Arms scroll from the last chapter to get to a C Sword Rank, aka the Levin Sword. Cain hit level 20 and promoted. Midia got some bow expirience. My team is beginning to round into form. Deliriyum
Chapter 9(5/50) I actually thought this chapter was easy. My cavaliers stormed through with javelins, and other people cleaned up their leftovers. Vyland is actually starting to become a good unit now. I could've done it in 4 turns, but Marth was 1 space away from seizing so I had to wait until turn 5. Janissary
9 wasn't hard challenge wise, it was simply challenging to figure out how to maximize my EXP for Darros and Bord who had begun to lag while still getting a good turncount and raiding the top treasure with Rickard, which I forgot to mention I had done in my previous log. Ooops.
