General Horace
Almost finished Chapter 23, but Gharnef was the one furthest away, and Jagen died, so I restarted. I'll be done tonight for sure. Edited August 9, 2010 by General_Horace

General Horace
Ok, here I go, the end is tonight. Chapter 23 7/141 Turns Beck killed the curate holding the pure water, and it was sent to the convoy for Marth to use in his ascent of the tower. Wendall wtfCriticaled Gharnef with Starlight, and took out the mages around him, aided by a barrier staff from Boah. Shiida and Gordin flew/rode up the keep, clearing the way for Marth. Chapter 24 5/146 Turns Beck provided chip damage, Shiida flew down and killed most dragons, Jagen flew to the ??? Shop and bought 3 robes, 3 shields, and 1 scroll. Draug and Horace eventually made it down and finished off manaketes, and Marth did nothing but seize. Palla and Barts killed one dragon. The old duo did nothing. Endgame 4/150 Turns Shiida got one critical with the Gradivus, and killed Medeus on the enemy phase. The curates were gone thanks to Horace and Beck. Boah (yes Boah was useful in Endgame) and Gotoh used Fortify staves, and Marth hid in a corner because he was doubled by most dragons. eclipse
First, you can find your final stats by going into the Wifi menu (pretend you're creating a team, but don't actually create one). Second. . .it seems like I was the only one that got to 24x. I figured that Gharnef wasn't worth it, and Marth would do just fine without his super-special sword. EDIT: Now, for my last chapter's worth of dumps. I withheld these chapters, because I put a few notes regarding my opinions of what the minimum turn count should be. . .and because I did something extremely dumb for Endgame. Chapter 19 (6/132): I lost count of the number of times I saw the Game Over screen. Fed Marth a Speedwings on this chapter, so he'd double. Reclassed Castor to Horseman. This was a test to see how fast I could run up the hallways, through the sides, and skewer Tiki. I used one Pure Water to ensure that Marth survived the mad rush. The same Pure Water saved me a turn of healing, and Marth finished this map at 3 HP. I grabbed a Master Seal, Speedwings, Seraph Robe, and Geosphere (all will be necessary for later). I wanted the Bolganone and money, but I didn't have enough keys or time. This is the last (relatively) hard-to-get Master Seal I need. The final one is the boss drop on Chapter 21, and that's for Elice. I think the reasons should be clear. Had Marth, Castor, and Wolf cross the river to beat up the generals, while Norne pecked at the Arrowspate. My faceless units held a meeting near the bridge, but were disrupted by the Sable Order. Castor baited Camus, then landed a crit with his Hand Axe (which saved me a turn). Had enough time for a quick Arena bout with Linde. I should be able to hit the A with bows before Medeus. . .I hope. My goal was to level all my underleveled characters as high as possible, while nabbing all the treasure and offing Ymir. I had Norne grab the two chests near Ymir, while Marth got the ones near the boss, and Julian swiped the rest. Killing my faceless units was tricky, but I found that Larissa didn't mind human sacrifices. Ymir went down to the tag team of Norne, Wolf, and Radd. Linde is set for promotion. Radd should promote by the end of the next map. Linde is majorly blessed, Castor isn't far behind, Radd is a land mine, and Marth is still a glass cannon. Gave Wolf a Dracoshield, so he'd survive the onslaught. Marth RAN to the throne (it's reachable in 3 turns with the Boots), while Wolf and Castor hung on for dear life. Norne went to the Secret Shop, while Radd gained the 5 EXP he was missing, so he could promote. Linde did some healing, and Lena managed to blow up a Dracoknight. All in all, not bad! (no stats here, because I forgot to record them) Chapter 22 (8/149): Sent all the faceless units left as a distraction, then sent everyone that mattered to the right. Wolf had some scary moments with the Ridersbane (but his good looks kept him from dying), while Linde's role shifted more towards healer. Castor explained to Michalis why Iote's Shield doesn't work against axes. Managed to level Matthis somehow. Skipped Starlight; I need the Lightsphere more than I need the tome. This chapter is doable in 7 turns, but I'd need an extremely good Dracoknight to pull this off (something that can ORKO Michalis). Reclassed Radd to Paladin, so he'll continue to gain Sword levels. Things were close, because Marth was in the way of a lot of unhappy units, and Matthis was a popular target of Swarm (his relatively insane HP saved him from being killed). The real Gharnef was hanging out at the bottom of the stairs, so I ignored him, and charged up with everyone that wasn't Julian (he stayed behind to grab some treasure). I'll see if Marth can gain one more Speed, and if Wolf will gain any more Speed. This chapter is doable in 7 turns, but I would've needed at least two more very strong Dracoknights/Paladins to make that happen. Fed Elice three Spirit Dusts, to make sure my strategy doesn't take out my units in the process. The boss died on the first turn to a combination of Geosphere and Norne with a Dragonpike and Lightsphere. The rest involved walking Marth to the throne, and seizing. Matthis' sole purpose was to visit the Secret Shop, to purchase Robes and Scrolls. I'm not sure if it's possible to do this in 4 turns (Marth was short a square). I know how ridiculous the enemies are, and that's not counting Old and Cranky at the end. Reclassed Radd to Swordmaster, so he wouldn't be doubled by everything on the map. Since I'm handing out stat boosters like candy at Halloween, I'll list the stat booster, and who it goes to. Seraph Robe: Marth, Wolf, Matthis, Jagen Energy Drop: Marth x2, Wolf, Norne Spirit Dust: Elice Secret Book: Marth x3 Speedwings: Marth, Wolf x3, Linde Goddess Icon: Castor, Wolf, Norne, Matthis Talisman: Norne Arms Scroll: Wolf (Parthia), Castor (Mercurius), Matthis x2 (Hammer) Norne got Gravidius, Wolf got Parthia and the Lightsphere (this is important), Castor got Mercurius, and Marth got Failchion. Marth, Jagen, Elice, Nagi, and Julian were in the southern room. Four generics populated the northwest room. Lena, Linde, Matthis, and Norne started in the northeast room, and Wolf, Radd, and Castor started in the awkward little alcove. Turn 1: Two Geosphere uses (Lena and Matthis), so I don't have to deal with the healers. Linde patched up Lena and Jagen patched up Elice between uses. Elice Fortified everyone. Norne introduced the Swarm Bishop to Gravidius (I had previous parked Matthis + Hammer in front of the doorway; Norne was next to Matthis). Wolf took out the nearby Pachyderm, while Radd and Castor (in that order) charged out, with Radd downing a Vulnerary. Julian opened the door, and Marth embarked. The generics milled around. Turn 1e: I guess no one likes Radd's hair, because everything that could attacked him. My generics drew the Pachyderm fire, which is the only reason why Radd survived this round. Turn 2: Norne flew south to kill the Magestone user, Matthis flew ahead of her, and my two lady Sages did their best to keep up. Wolf ran due north, swapped to Steel Sword, and took a Vulnerary. Radd and Castor cleaned up whatever didn't die the first time around. Nagi took out the Javelin Paladin, while Marth ran a little to the east and north (to attract the Snipers). Elice spammed Fortify, while Jagen threw a Physic at Radd (who at this point was hanging on to life by the skin of his teeth). Turn 2e: Everything to the north suicided into Wolf and Castor. Wolf gained a level, and maxed his Strength. Turn 3: Parked Marth to the north of the stairs that the Hero spawns out of, had Wolf run like usual, Castor did a little more house cleaning, and Radd took out the Levin Sword Hero (who decided to run out of the room he started in). Norne and Matthis flew north, while Lena and Linde met up with Elice and Jagen. Much healing ensued, and Jagen hit A in staves. Turn 3e: As planned, one of the Snipers stood on the stairs to take a potshot at Marth. Turn 4: Wolf ran as far as he could, which put him in Parthia range. He let loose a couple of shots, then was healed back up to snuff. The Magestone dragon couldn't reach him, and the Hero couldn't spawn. Radd ran into the eastern room to OHKO the Bishop with Thoron. Norne and Matthis took out the Snipers, so I wouldn't have to worry about anyone dying. Marth ran as close as he could without becoming Medeus food. Turn 4e: Medeus ended the game for me. I had him overleveled so I could safely rush him into throngs of enemies, but he was still too frail. Jagen - Meh. At least I had a staff user for most of the game. Norne - As a Pegasus Knight/Dracoknight, she was really useful, even if her stats weren't the best. Her insane Resistance made Chapter 23 much easier than it should have been. Castor - The first star of the show, who was WAY above average. I'm glad my numerous reclasses were enough to boost him to something amazing. Julian - I'm an item freak, and Julian nabbed what he needed to. I wish I had more time to develop him, because I know he can turn into an absolute terror. Lena - This was the correct run for her to gain Speed. I was originally intending for her to be a Swordmaster, but she didn't need it. Her C rank in staves helped a lot once I turned her into a Sage. Matthis - I didn't use him very well, but it seems like he could've been better. My apologies. Wolf - The second big star of the show. He REALLY cooperated, and that made things much easier on me. I guess me going fangirl on him helped! Radd - All Strength, no Speed, but enough Defense to take hits. I wish I could have gotten him to gain some Speed! Linde - She was insanely blessed, but this run was too fast for me to unlock her true potential. Her Aura got rid of some really strong enemies, and that's what saved me time and again. Elice - That staff rank was the only reason why I could be as dumb as I was during Endgame. Bummer she decided not to gain too much Magic. Nagi - Er. . .hi? General Horace
Now that I think about it, I could have gone to 24x as well, because my Marth sucked too much to be useful with Falchion, and the Starsphere and Lightsphere could have come in handy. Good run everyone.
eclipse
If you had the Lightsphere, I don't think you would have needed that Gravidus critical to get the same turn count. Given the speed of the run, the Starsphere would be meh at best. That was really amusing, even if it's not the play style I'm comfortable with. Life begins where the comfort zone ends, right? Janissary
I ended up using the geosphere to discover the real gharnef and then kill every other unit on the map. I got lucky and it was the closest gharnef so I just killed him and ran Marth.
General Horace
I got really lucky and ran a generic Paladin to the closest Gharnef, who said his battle quote so I knew he was the real deal, and Wendall pulled a 2% crit chance out of his ass for a 0HKO. Starsphere would be really useful, just give a dracoknight/paladin it and gradivus and let them rip it up.
eclipse
I sent some generic to the bottom of the stairs, and the game always gives priority to the boss, so that's how I knew which one was the real one. If the real Gharnef was the one at the top of the stairs, I would've been in deep trouble. If the real Gharnef was the one all the way in, it wouldn't have mattered.
