LycopolisKing Posted September 1, 2010 Share Posted September 1, 2010 Personally I'm really interested in this game (one of the main reasons being the artwork that is woefully missing from SD), but I can't read any of the cards and have no intrustions. Does anyone know how to play/translate, or know what the some of the different cards do? It would be awesome to print some cards and play it. Most people are using Iron weapons (Marth has his Rapier, and Ellerean has Thoron. . .not sure about any other special weapons). 3. There's some kind of support system built in (Marth has Elice and Caeda listed). 4. Certain units promote (I think). 5. Something about chip keeps coming up, but I don't have time to go any more in depth than that. 6. The card art is more cartoony, and some of the characters look really different from their SD art (Sedgar and Tomas look strange as cards, and Midia looks much more feminine than her SD version). Yeah, they make new cards for the promoted chars. Any luck on identifying some staves? What do the healing cards do? Was there a magic triange as well? It seems like some magic users are getting bonuses from other magic types, but it makes no sense. From a few cards I gained: Thunder beats Fire, Fire beats Wind, Wind beats nothing, but flying units? The types of cards are units (the guys and gals we all know and love), weapons, magic, terrain, and "surprise cards". "Surprise cards" seem to be the skills from FE4/5 (for example, Ayra, Shanan, Skashe (or however it's spelled), and Lakche have Astra, while Holyn has Luna (Moon Sword?)). There might be other surprise cards, but I didn't read that far. The movement arrows indicate how a unit can move. Horses can move forward diagonally, and fliers can move wherever they damn well please. I need to look up a few more kanji, and figure out the precise role of chips to get a better idea of how this game works. It kind of reminds me of Huntik (at least the board part does). (Jugdral uses 45 cards, Archanaea uses 60 cards) I hope that's the last of the rule changes, or this could be a lot more difficult than I thought! EDIT: Anywhere I can get the Archanaea manual? When a unit does stuff (I'll elaborate this later, I'm tired), the chips on the unit are used. - Used chips: Chips that have been used.
