in the custom battle animation editor for FE8, are the separators supposed to be changed to 0, or unchanged at 255? i dont get it

Roy (the lord from FE6 or Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals) cannot be found in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It might be unused data (why, I don't know), but technically, Roy doesn't exist. He's not a very good Lord, anyways.

Why would you need to hit apply when it's already been applied?

Or else the replace feature wouldn't work at all, not even if you hit apply.

Actually, I need help with just this. I'm trying to give Eirika the Dance skill, and here's what I do.

1. I open the FE8 ROM and Load the FE8 Nightmare Custom Battle Animation Module

2. I select 0x03 for Eirika.

3. I select 0xA5 for Dance under "Weapon Type".

4. I select 1 for All Weapons for a Weapon Type under "All weapons or a certain one?"

5. I select 0x91 for Dancer under "Animation Played".

6. Using QE's suggestion, I change the Seperator from 255 to 00.

7. I try to apply the changes.

Every I time I hit enter, it states that "One of the dropdown boxes does not have a valid selection." This has been attempted with normal Eirika, Disarmed Eirika, All Weapons, and Custom Animation. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

everything needs to be filled out. like if the character has only 2 animations, there will be 1 animation for the attack, another for disarmed, and the rest should be disarmed also.

Instead of using 0 for NO WEAPONS use ALL WEAPONS FOR A WEAPON TYPE.

Dancing is in fact counted as a weapon the same way a staff is IIRC.

Of course, I'm probably recalling wrong and being a real moron.
