riariadne
This game has promoted enemies in early chapters. And a lot of them. Especially in the harder difficulties. Why do they throw promoted people at you so early? Does it impact the game a lot, or would it be pretty much the same? And you get your first Master Seal in like, Chapter 3. I don't get it. It's like IS is encouraging promoting early or something. :/ Does anyone else find this odd in the least?
Dr. Tarrasque
Promotion items coming in a bit earlier than you'd be expected to use has happened for some time. They're pretty much just scattered if there's plenty of people who can use them. In the original book 2, it was a Knight Proof/Crest in chapter 3 and a cavalier being level 10 or higher at that point was unlikely unless you overfed him. Now if it were a Dragon Whip, that'd be a different story. In FE8, you get the first Guiding Ring at the end of chapter. In this game, it just so happens to be a Master Seal because they decided to stick with that and ditch the whole separate promotion items thing they did back in the GBA FEs and FE3 so characters like Paola and Katua basically ended up being lucky this happened since originally, they couldn't promote till Chapter 7. It's not to encourage early promotion, just to make that option available and remain consistent with the promotion items availability back in the original. Ike-Mike
You get 8 chapters with lots of enemies beforehand though. Besides by being a sequel IS thought that the only way to up the ante is to throw promoted units early into the game.

Galenforcer
To help give units a better chance of being good in Lunatic. You don't have to promote early, it's just that option is available, if you're struggling with chapters.
