Well I seem a little late to the party.... lol

Chapter 11 (7/7)

Hector and Matthew went west, breaking through the wall and killing the archer and the soldier. Matthew then unlocked the second door and doubled back to get the first door and the red gem. Meanwhile Hector went through the second door, killed another archer and soldier with his hand axe and killed Wire with the Wolf Biel.

…pretty much what everyone else did XD

Chapter 12 (5/12)

Oswin moved back, next to Matthew who rescued Serra and Lowen gave Marcus his Iron lance and Bartre gave Marcus his Iron and hand axes.

Marcus moved east, killing the little things that dared to challenge him while Hector moved west as well, trying to cut off the Pegasus Knights path to Oswin and co. He succeeds, and managed to hold on to his life until Marcus made his way north to help out. Last turn Marcus damages the boss who suicides against him on the enemy phase.

Chapter 13 (6/18)

Dorcas gave Hector his Iron Axe.

Marcus went south while protecting Matthew so he can recruit the killing edge. Hector crossed the water by the shops and moved south. Guy and Matthew ran away while Marcus moved up to the castle and killed the boss so Hector could seize.

Chapter 14 (10/28)

First thing, Serra recruited Erk so I could get Priscilla at the end of the chapter without wasting a turn on going to the village. Marcus went south to protect said village while Hector met the other units in the middle of the map. After some thoughtful placement and some lucky turns with the RNG, Hector killed the last of them on turn 10.

Chapter 15 (8/36)

Marcus went north, through the door that the enemies open. Then he went down the hallway (killed the boss and got the steel bow… and threw on the ground!). Meanwhile Hector and Priscilla stayed around the throne and the stairs to kill the other enemies. At the end only the thief and a mercenary remained.

Straightforward. Everyone rushes toward Oleg. He's a big stupid head, goes down to Oswin. Simple.

Ch19: The Dread Isle (6/59)

Why helloooo there Fiora my bbygurl <3. Anyway. Marcus rescued Hector and charged south with Lowen. Eliwood, Rebecca and Bartre went east. I didn't know Rebecca had introduction dialogue on this map, neat. Brought Florina as well and had her wait around the starting area for Fiora to arrive. Eliwood's team carved a path through the Pirates, Nomads and Peg Knights pretty easily, their skills complimented each other very well on this map. Marcus carrying Hector came left the Cavs with low HP easily snipable by Lowen. Once Fiora arrived, she caught up with Eliwood and got a level off random enemies as well. Interestingly, Rebecca with the Longbow still doubles Shamans without eating a Nosferatu counter. Marcus weakened Uhai and Hector chalked up yet another bosskill.

Bartre finally caught up with Dorcas' base speed, woo!

Ch20: Dragon's Gate (6/65)

Eliwood waited around so that the Sniper would open his door. Bartre oneshotted the Knight nearby with the Hammer and Marcus rescued Hector and charged. Everyone else followed. Marcus got roughed up by Cameron, but he got destroyed by a Rebecca + Lowen combo. Eliwood killed the Sniper with the Killing Edge, getting the Silver Bow, and got the Brave Bow next turn. Marcus killed the Nomad and Fiora attacked the remaining Cav. Fiora was attacked by that Cav and one other, killing the injured one. Marcus charged forward again with Lowen nearby. Lowen killed the enemy blocking the door, Fiora opened it, and Marcus rushed in with a Steel Lance, killing the Myrmidon and 1 Shaman. Fiora killed the other Shaman and Marcus dropped Hector by Darin on turn 5. Darin got onerounded by the Wolf Beil. Everyone grabbed a quick kill before seizing on turn 6.

Ch21: New Resolve (4/69)

Fiora hit up the villages then went on a shopping spree, buying a whole bunch of iron and 2-range weapons. Everyone else went east, with Marcus rescuing Eliwood this time because I intended for him to get the boss kill. Marcus tanked the brunt of the enemies and everyone else mopped up. Marcus dropped Eliwood on turn 3 and moved into the very edge of Oleg's range with a Handaxe equipped. Marcus doubled Oleg and lowered his HP significantly, and Eliwood critted Oleg with the Killing Edge. Lowen visited the Elysian Whip village and Fiora hit the arena and leveled before the chapter ended.

Giant update:

Chapter 17 (8/53)

I deployed Priscilla to recruit Raven and Lucius. Also, Merlinus joined (finally). I sold my two Red Gems and the Rapier.

After defeating the initial enemies, Wil went to the left for the Chest Key while Marcus cleared a path for Kent (who had Hector) and Priscilla to move. Marcus killed most of the enemies, although Kent was able to grab a couple kills after dropping Hector at the top of the map. Priscilla recruited Raven, and he spent the rest of the chapter going back for Lucius.

On the last turn, Marcus killed Bernard, Wil grabbed the Hero Crest, Raven recruited Lucius (he really should auto-join in my opinion), and Hector seized.

Chapter 18 (3/56)

I believe that with full deployment, your group actually outnumbers the enemy at the start of the chapter…

My party members tried to get some experience and do some shopping while Marcus runs to kill Zoldam. Lucius uses the Goddess Icon.

Chapter 19 (5/61)

I hate FOW… Also, Uhai is a real pain to hit.

Marcus rescues Hector and goes south-east towards Uhai with Kent helping. The others (Wil, Raven and Lucius) stayed behind to take care of the northern enemies with help from Fiora. Dart just gave hisTorch to Wil and then hid with Merlinus.

Marcus dropped Hector and together they tried to hit Uhai; Marcus hit but Hector missed. Thankfully, Marcus connected on the Enemy Phase for the kill.

Chapter 20 (7/68)

Apparently, if you don't recruit Canas he still appears during the opening cutscene, but he's a druid… Weird.

Marcus, Hector and Kent went north, the others stayed down to grab bows Wil can't use yet. Kent ends up killing Damian and Darin after Marcus weakens them and Hector recruits Legault. Wil fights some archers and Lucius fights some mages for experience and weapon levels, Legault steals the Member Card (I'm not sure if I'll actually use it, but grabbing it can't hurt) and Hector seizes.

I'm trying to build a LuciusxRaven support, but I don't know if it will ever come to fruition…

Chapter 21 (4/72)

Thankfully, in this draft, undrafted units can visit shops, unlike the FE 6 Hard Mode draft…

Eliwood shops for axes since he's forced anyway. Everyone else goes east to assassinate Oleg. Raven gets quite a lot of experience in this chapter too, thankfully. Wil visits the Arena (archers seem to have it easier in the Arena than other units), but then he gets poisoned and put to 2HP, so Hector rescues him to prevent poison from killing Wil. I don't know if that's a glitch or simply an oversight, but I'm thankful nonetheless.

Marcus baits Oleg on turn 3, so Lucius can get the boss kill. I got the Restore, Elysian Whip and Wyrmslayer, but not the HeroCrest (I have one for Raven already, anyway).

Chapter 22 (4/76)

I was going to let my unpromoted units get more experience, but I'm three turns behind Silvercrow, so I went with the faster plan.

Kent and Legault went west for the treasure while shielding Isadora (who was going to the Secret Shop) and Eliwood (I wanted Heath's Axereaver). Hector and Wil went south for some self-improvement. The others went east, with Marcus leading the charge to Eubans with Ninian's help. Raven and Lucius built more support points (still not at C yet, though) and got some experience as well.

I could've finished on turn three, but I waited one more turn to get 10,000 gold, the Brave Axe, two Elixirs, and Chest Key as well as Rath and Heath's inventories. A fair trade, in my opinion.

Chapter 23 (7/83)

ITT: Pent (almost) solos Living Legend. In other news, I gave the Angelic Robe to Lucius.

Matthew finds the Ocean Seal, Legault gets Eclipse and Filla's Might, and Lucius somehow finds the Hero Crest. Otherwise… My party took care of the east side, Lucius helped in the north, and Pent killed everything else. I Pent could've finished a turn earlier if he had dodged Jasmine's Steel Axe. Pent for Top Tier. Really.

Chapter 24 (2/85)

I haven't gone to Lloyd's chapter since, my first playthrough, I think. Wil takes the Afa's Drops - anything to make him more useful.

Legault runs forward and uses a Torch so I can see what's going on. Marcus gets to a fort on the first turn with Ninian's help. He counters Lloyd with a Javelin, and brings him to critical HP on turn 2. Lucius gets a round in the Arena and Florina buys some Reaver weapons before Raven puts Lloyd down with an Iron Sword.

I should probably think about promoting my units around now… I'm planning to wait until after Chapter 26, though. We'll see what happens.

Ch22: Kinship's Bond (5/74)

Marcus charged Eubans, everyone else just sorta killed what they could. Recruited Heath for the Axereaver and Rath for his Bows. Lowen went after the Thief that stole the Brave Axe and got it back. Marcus weakened Eubans with a Handaxe and went in for the kill with a Steel Lance. Got the Knight Crest I needed for Lowen from a Cavalier. Otherwise pretty much nothing else happened.

Ch23: Living Legend (6/80)

Damn Pent, stop doing shit for free. Fiora rescued Matthew and went through the thin safe corridor between the archers, making a beeline for the Hero Crest. Hector and Eliwood killed the Archers and Mages in the desert near the start, since I decided I should probably build their support at least a little. Everyone else handled the guys on the grassy area on the right. Pent oneshotted both of the bosses with criticals (yes) so Fiora had a very safe passage to the top left, where she dropped Matthew, let him find the crest, rescued him again and fled from reinforcements. Pent dealt with a couple, and on turn 6 player phase Fiora dropped Matthew on a safe tile between the two remaining mages and then cantoed into their range with a Javelin. They both suicided on her. Eliwood and Hector got their C support.

Oswin promotes.

Rath's here. This is the first time I've ever used him seriously, ohhhh dear. Marcus doubled Eubans with a javelin, overkilled him on turn 5 with the halberd. Might as well get SOME use out of that useless weapon.

5 turns, 87 total

23

Canas is a fuckin' beast. Last chapter before I planned on promoting him, and he was awesome. As my only unit that could use full movement in the desert, he headed west and assaulted fools. Used 2 uses of his elixer, cleaned up bitches. He also killed Paul with some help from Pent. Thanks Pent. Canas dodged a killing blow from a reinforcement wyvern, which was a risk I took to try and catch up turn wise because I'm getting fucked by you guys right now :/

Horsey squad attacked everyone on the grassy area, where they could actually make use of their movement. Woo.

5 turns, 92 total

24

Canas promotion, Afa's Drops to Rath, since he has the most room to grow currently.

Sorry, Wallace. I can't afford to take turns to make use of your awesome ass stats. I love you dude, but I gotta pass. Marcus tanked a bunch of shots from Lloyd, and retaliated with his javelin. Sain went with the shit squad to the right across the downed tree with Dorcas and Canas, Dorky shopped (and used up ALL of my money, that asshole.) Marcus bosskill, as per usual. He's such a pimp.

3 turns, 95 total

Hmm... the rest of my units (aside from Rath) are nearing promotion. Sain definitely needs to promote. I'll probably give him Isadora's angelic robe too.

Ch24A: Four-Fanged Offense (2/82)

Afa's Drops goes to Bartre, since his only competition for it is Eliwood but I decided that it's better for Bartre to get some speed than it is for Eliwood to get some strength. Rescue/drop chained Eliwood onto the fort with Lowen and Marcus, everyone just followed except for Fiora, who went to the Reaver shop. Lloyd attacked Eliwood, hitting once and being countered for some damage, and dodged the nearby Monk and Sniper. Hector killed a Wyvern, Bartre killed a Monk and Marcus knocked Lloyd down to 2 HP. Fed the kill to Rebecca since she's getting a touch behind Eliwood in EXP.

Chapter 25 (6/91)

One Axereaver: 1,950 gold. One Pegasus Knight: 20,000 gold. Having a flier that can take out pirates and brigands with ease: Priceless.

Raven went south to solo the Warrior's castle, everyone else went north towards Pascal's castle. Wil hopped on a ballista and shot down some Pegasus Knights. Legault baited Pascal with a Lancereaver, and along with Hector and Lucius they took him down.

Kent cleared a path for Marcus through the cavalier swarm and then he rescued Hector and went back down for Farina. Marcus went over the top towards the Bishop's castle as Raven and Legault seized their castles. Last turn, Hector got conned by recruited Farina, and everyone got some experience before Marcus seized the last castle.

Chapter 26 (12/103)

Hector reached level 20 this chapter (and got nothing on his last level-up...), and everyone else (except Hector, Marcus and Ninian, of course) promoted. Also, I finally built LuciusxRaven's C support.

Raven, Legault, Farina and Marcus took the south end of the map, while Lucius, Kent, Wil and Ninian took the top with Hector. Pent and Louise solo'd the chapter together rescued the Lords and stayed out of the way. Farina grabbed Hammerne and Legault stole a Knight's Crest. After Lucius promoted, he took Hammerne and repaired the Wolf Beil. I wanted to go shopping, but it wasn't happening without Hawkeye.

I'm almost done... This game's shorter without Lyn Mode and the Gaidens than I thought.

Chapter 27 (7/110)

I'm hoping to catch up to Silvercrow here, since he's forced to Jerme's map.

Wil goes east to grab Bolting (might as well make Nino useful for something) while everyone else goes north. Farina ferries Hector, and Lucius Barriers Ninian (this is the first time I've ever had problems with Ninian surviving long-range magic) and Legault.

Near the top, Kent rescues Raven and drops him to clear the enemies in Kenneth's room. Then he kills Kenneth with a Barrier and support from Lucius as Legault grabs the Talisman. Ninian dances for Hector so he can reach the throne on turn 7.

Chapter 28 (16/126)

Raven gets the Talisman. Legault goes left with Kent, Raven and Lucius. Everyone else goes right.

Farina rushes to open the right door on turn one, and along with Wil, Hector, Marcus and Ninian they all rush south. Hector recruits Nino while Marcus loots the treasure room. Farina distracts the mercenaries so Wil can ORKO Ursula with an Iron Bow thanks to Filla's Might. Nino actually gets a couple kills and a level off of the mercenaries Farina left alive.

On the other side, Legault opens the door, and then Kent and Raven kill Maxime. Kent clears a path for Legault to get to the treasure room and Raven and Lucius go to help Jaffar. For the last half of the chapter, everything is dead so Lucius runs around Mending and Barriering everyone with Ninian's help to build his staff rank (he's at B now!).

Chapter 29 (11/137)

I was able to get Nino from level 6 to level 17 off of the knights in this chapter! Also, Hector got the Boots. I would've given them to Ninian, but…

As for the chapter itself, ugh. Marcus, Legault and Farina went west, Wil and Kent went north, and the others went down the middle. Raven and Lucius pushed forward on their way to Linus, Ninian danced mostly for Nino, and Hector OHKO'd stuff with the Wolf Beil.

When Vaida's group showed up, Hector, Wil and Marcus went back to take them on. Farina took care of most of the western enemies while Legault went shopping. Kent went toward the north forts and Nino held down the center ones.

Finally, Hector recruited Vaida (it was easier than killing her, even without the 'Uber' Spear), and Raven got into a sword fight with Linus, backed up by Lucius's healing and support. Raven emerged victorious, Legault got the Warp, and the rest of my party picked off the stragglers to end the chapter.

Hector promotes, but Ninian ditches me… Damn you Nergal!

Chapter 30 (7/144)

I brought Raven and Lucius so I could get their B support.

Anyway, I took the south-western path toward the seize square. Lucius used Rescue on Hector to save a turn, and Raven killed Kaim. I got one of the Wolf Beils and the Tomahawk, but left everything else.

Chapter 31 (12/156)

What's with the four deployment squares in the middle of the map?

Not a lot to say about this chapter. I let Denning run around sniping Ostian Knights so I could level off of the reinforcements.Wil and Kent went to the east, and Legault got all of the treasures. Marcus didn't do a lot because he's almost at level 20 and I wanted to improve my other units. Eliwood rescued Lyn and sat on the throne for the duration of the chapter.

And it's over. Unit analysis coming later, probably.

Chapter 32 (7/163)

It's so much easier to build staff rank in this game than it is in FE 6…

Farina heads north to grab Fortify, everyone else goes through the middle. Lucius uses Hammerne on Rescue on the first turn to bring his staff rank to A. Then he Warps Hector, Raven and Marcus past the forest so they can kill Limstella. Thanks to the Brave Axe, a Silver Sword and a lucky critical from Marcus she didn't pose too much of a challenge. On the last turn, Lucius used Hammerne on Warp before Hector seized.

Final Chapter (10/173)

I hate this chapter… I left Legault behind, since he was the only one who was still unpromoted. Anyway, here's how the morphs went down:

Uhai – Athos criticaled him with Bolting.

Kenneth – Farina ORKO'd him with a Killing Edge critical + a normal attack.

Brendan – Lucius criticaled with Shine (which brought his Light rank to S), and Raven finished him.

Darin – Hector and Athos combined for this one with Forblaze and Armads.

Ursula – Wil killed her again, this time with a Brave Bow critical followed by the second attack.

Jerme – Wil's Brave Bow and Farina with the Rex Hasta combined for the kill.

Lloyd – Athos and Lucius weakened him, and then Hector killed him with the Swordslayer.

Linus – He missed Lucius with his Tomahawk, and then was crit-killed in return.

After Kent killed the Berserk druid, Raven was Warped to face Nergal and then he was rescued by Marcus. Hector and Lucius finished Nergal on the next player phase. (8 turns)

For the second part, Hector and Athos (I wish I hadn't sold that Luna tome now…) attacked the Dragon, and Lucius used Fortify. It attacked Athos on the Enemy Phase. Then Lucius and Hector attacked it, and Farina did enough damage to let Athos kill it. (2 turns)

Hector: Due to the fact that I had only Hector and Marcus until Chapter 16, he turned out really over leveled. He was practically invincible, dealt high amounts of damage, and even had decent accuracy despite using axes (although I chalk that up to enemy Luck and AS sucking in this game). He was unstoppable once he promoted, ORKOing everything except bosses with 7 move (thanks to the Boots).

Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res

Marcus: His speed faltered a little later on, but by then it didn't matter. He carried the earlygame on his shoulders along with Hector and continued to serve important functions throughout the entire game, both combat and utility. It may very well be a good idea to ban him in later (Normal Mode) drafts.

Raven: As I expected, he was awesome from start to finish; absolutely worth the extra turns I spent in Chapter 14 for Erk and Priscilla (nevermind that I needed them for Lucius, too). Great offensive stats, and good durability as well. He did quite a bit of my boss-killing later on, and was able to tank as well. His support with Lucius greatly helped also.

Lucius: Raven and Lucius make a pretty unstoppable pair. Once their support kicked in, they were able to face untold amounts of Enemy Phase action, which was awesome with their offensive capabilities. Thanks to him, I was able to go to Kenneth's much shorter Chapter 27. Not to mention Physic, Rescue and Warp. And Aureola, which allowed him to contribute offensively against Nergal and the Dragon. He was probably the most important person in the entire playthrough.

Kent: High move + Good stats always equals great things. His biggest problem until he promoted was probably weapon ranks, since he had D's in Swords and Lances for a while. At first, he was able to combine for kills with Wil quite nicely, and later on he went out on his own. However, he was consistently disappointing against the tougher enemies though, and was practically dead weight in the Final Chapter.

Ninian: I love using Dancer/Refresher type units now, and I've always liked Ninils because of those awesome rings. I didn't need them as much as I thought I would this playthrough, particularly since Ninian wasn't around for the Final Chapter. She still saved turns and made Lucius's staff rank and Nino's usefulness possible though, so I have to thank her for that. WTF at getting into 30 fights, though; that's ridiculous.

Level HP Pow Skl Spd Lck Def Res

Legault: Even though I drafted him mainly to finance Farina and get stuff like the Brave Axe/Lance, Boots, Rescue, etc. he was also a pretty good combat unit. Unfortunately, he didn't promote, so he got left behind later on.

Farina: I was initially afraid that Farina would turn out to be as useless in combat as Tate did in the FE 6 draft, but I was wrong (it had to do with better bases and weaker enemies). While she didn't end up doing that much ferrying, she used her ability to fly over terrain quite often and her combat was great, getting her to max level. She was well worth the price and time needed to recruit her.

Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res
16/20 46 23* 22 25 20 17 20 B 103 W 63

Wil: He wasn't extremely useful, as expected, but he played his part. Early he was able to combine for kills and snipe the slower enemies, and once he promoted he had decent Player Phase offense as well. Longbows and the Brave Bow were pretty useful on occasion, too.

Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res

Nino: I'm surprised at how easy it was to train her in Chapter 29 thanks to those knights in the middle. And after that she had consistently good offense until the last chapter and she could heal as well. Being around for only a couple chapters limits her usefulness by a lot, unfortunately, but she was a good last pick.

Grats on finishing!

Ch25: Crazed Beast (4/86)

Marcus went to solo the Warrior castle, and Fiora went to solo the Monk castle. Everyone else went towards Pascal. Bartre and Rebecca mostly hung back and dealt with rogue Pirates and Peg Knights, and Bartre got some player phase Cavalier kills. Lowen charged first with a Short Spear, since he's quite tanky. He took hits from all the Cavaliers, and Pascal attacked Eliwood and missed. Next turn, Hector Brave Axed Pascal, and Eliwood finished him off with the Rapier. Lowen healed up, and the Cavs swarmed him again, although this time Eliwood got some kills as they suicided onto his Rapier. On turn 4, Eliwood and Hector cleared a path through the remaining Cavs so that Lowen could reach the Gate. Marcus had absolutely no problem, onerounding the Warrior boss easily with an Iron Sword. Fiora got roughed up a bit, but took out the Monks handily and onerounded the boss. Everyone seized the gates on turn 4. Who's Farina?

Ch26: Unfulfilled Heart (12/98)

Why hello Lord Pent. What's that, an EXP fest you say? Lowen went south, Bartre and Rebecca stayed in the middle, everyone else went north. Marcus baited the swarms of Wyverns with his Steel Lance equipped, which took them down below 10 HP for them to be massacred on the player phase. Rebecca would snipe Wyverns from a distance with the Ballistae, and Bartre would wait on a mountain in their range to kill them on the enemy phase with a Handaxe. Lowen is pretty self sufficient as long as he has a Vulnerary. Nothing noteworthy happened otherwise, lots of people gained a lot of levels. Bartre gained THREE points of speed, holy fuck.

Jerme map... gross. At least I get Harken!

And, just out of curiousity...

Hector: Minor HP, STR, SKL, and LUK blessed. Major SPD blessed. Average DEF and major RES screwed. Overall excellent.

Eliwood: Average HP and LUK. Major SKL and SPD blessed. Minor RES blessed. Minor DEF and STR screwed. This might be the best Eliwood I've ever had. Not that that's saying much.

Marcus: Average HP, and SPD. Major STR and DEF blessed. Minor SKL and LUK blessed. Minor RES screwed. Jeiganman is keeping contributing with his weakening/tanking prowess and his move.

Lowen: Average STR, SPD, LUK and RES. Minor HP, SKL and DEF screwed. :(

Rebecca: Average HP and SPD. Minor STR, DEF, and RES blessed. Minor SKL and LUK screwed. I think I actually like this stat spread a little better than her normal one.

Bartre: Average HP, SPD, DEF. Minor STR, RES, and SKL blessed. Minor LUK screwed.

Fiora: Average HP and DEF. Minor STR, SKL, and RES blessed. Minor SPD and LUK screwed.

Pent: Inconclusive.

Overall, everyone looks pretty average except the Lords, who are doing pretty excellent. And poor Lowen.

Ch27J: Pale Flower of Darkness (12/110)

Just barely avoided getting behind Radiant here. Everyone promoted except for Hector, obviously. Fiora went north, everyone else went east. Eliwood unlocked the first door nearby and he and Lowen dealt with the guys inside. Everyone just pressed forward as best they could in the snow, and Eliwood and Bartre headed to open the two buildings to the south. I totally forgot that the north building was all Archers (btw, fuck you for doing that IS), but her evasion is excellent and although her HP got down pretty low, she took all of them out. Two things really surprised me. The first thing is that how Marcus is still good. Like, really good. The other is how Rebecca destroys fucking everything. There's a lot of Nomads around here that decided to aggro her, so she even got a good bit of enemy phase action. Definitely great for one of my last picks. Harken finally appeared, and Lowen recruited him. Pent opened the door to Jerme, and killed the Myrmidons around him while tanking his weak Light Brand damage. The next turn, Marcus brought him down to 4 HP in a single hit, and Rebecca finished him with a Longbow hit. Took one last turn for Bartre to kill the last couple Knights in that lower building.

This is the probably the map I have to pay for the most for not getting a flier.

Anyway, I did this as best I could without said flying unit. Sain went and attacked the warrior castle with "IHATETOPROCSTRENGTH" Guy. Marcus rushed as fast as his little horesy could past Pascal and to the Bishop castle. All in all, easy chapter, but not having a flier really sucks.

Lamesauce.

Vaida is sexy. Not having to worry about turncount allows a lot of my units to get a shit TON of levels, which is awesome. Guy is now my most underleveld unit. I should've gone with Legault over him, seriously, he does 1 damage to wyvern riders with an iron sword. Units get way too much experience in normal mode. I love it.

Kind of annoying, could've done better if I had planned better, but I'll accept what I got here. A few people barely lived. Snow sucks. Rath is pretty meh so far with his brand new promotion, probably why I've never used him before. He fucks up the wyverns though.

Ch28: Battle Before Dawn (16/126)

Damn, this chapter is so easy in normal mode. Hector, Bartre, Harken, and Lowen went right. Everyone else went left. Lowen and Fiora had chest keys to get stuff with. Everyone just got plowed over, the enemies are so weak... although Bartre almost got his ass kicked by a hero. Reached the treasure rooms and got all the items, then just mopped the floor with whatever was left of the enemy. Sent Harken after Ursula, and he destroyed her easily (onerounded with a Steel Sword... battle stats were 19x4 with something like 91 displayed hit with the Brave Sword. LOL). Had Nino talk to Jaffar so I could get his Killing Edge and Elixer. Then just sat around for a few turns.

Ch29: Cog of Destiny (9/135)

I love this chapter, it's just so damn fun to play. Fiora and the Paladins went west. Pent, Bartre and Harken took the middle path. Eliwood and Rebecca went north. Hector stayed at the start to deal with the Wyvern reinforcements and Vaida. Boots and Talisman went to Hector before the chapter began. Everyone cut a wide path through the enemies, they're a bit stronger than in Battle Before Dawn, but not that much stronger. Fiora grabbed the Warp Staff then went back towards Hector to help him deal with Wyverns. Bartre and Pent vs. Knights is pretty hilarious. Marcus and Lowen held their own pretty well against Heroes. The Nomads and Paladins were easily destroyed by Eliwood and Rebecca. Harken killed Linus with the Brave Sword over the course of a couple turns. Finally, all the enemies were dead except for a Wyvern near the start of the map, but it aggroed to Fiora instead of Merlinus because of her low HP and she critkilled it with a Javelin. Recruited Vaida because... why not?

Funny, DORCAS almost got his ass kicked by that very same hero. Luckily, he had a swordreaver. I'm rather disappointed with Sain. His growths have yet to really kick in and he keeps getting really shitty level ups. He is actually 100% obsoleted by Marcus. Oh well. Decided to leave her majesty Ursula alive, so that I could feast on reinforcements. Mmmm... tasty.

Zephiel almost got murdered by a mercenary. That was scary, but Sain saved his ass. Once I was done mopping up the enemies by where Jaffar starts, I moved everyone east and at Ursula. GUY FINALLY GOT A POINT OF STRENGTH FUCKING YAY. Fed Sain the boss kill, since his ass needs it so he can start getting shit. A good level up too, finally. Dorcas opened the east door and killed everything there. Another person whose growths have disappointed me. However, there is a shining star. A beacon of hope. His name is Oswin, he is majorly speed blessed (even if he's a little strength screwed) and he will be getting the boots so that he can actually keep up now. Much carnage will be had.

Wow. The difference im this level between HHM and HNM is nothing short of ridiculous. A lot of people played some important roles. Hector sat by the spawn and recruited Vaida, while they murdered the Wyvern Knights. Marcus abused the SHIT out of the Halberd, murdering mounted units. Florina went shopping. Canas and guy killed a bunch of fockers, it was awesome. So did Oswin. Canas LUNABOMB'd the shit out of Linus, until Dorcas killed him. Useful, that man. Some reinforcements bothered me, and I finished a little later than I had hoped I would. Oh well. In hindsight, I should've left another unit back to kill those fucking wyverns, they cost me 2 turns.

11 turns, 155 total. Hooray, Hector promotion!

Time to check RNG luck/screwage, just for fun.

Hector: Massive RES blessing (+5.25) and massive LCK screwage (-5.7) Hector is still at base luck, after 20 levels of growing. How?

Marcus: SKL screwed (-3.5) SPD blessed (+3.25) He's also LCK blessed.

Dorcas: A tiny bit of DEF screwage, but he's more or less in line with every single average.

Oswin: SPD blessed (+4.7) also DEF blessed (+3.45)

Guy: SKL screwed (-4.5) DEF blessed (+2.55)

Sain: INSANE STR screwage (-6) and SPD screwed (-2) Why, Sain. Why do you do this to me?

Canas: Basically average.

Rath: STR screwed (-4) SPD screwed (-2)

Screwage central here, everyone.

Ch30: The Berserker (6/141)

Semi warpskip. Brought Pent and Fiora, no particular reason for Fiora, I just felt like feeding her some kills. Pent warped Hector across a chunk of the map on turn 1, and Hector pressed on towards the boss, having little trouble with the enemies nearby. Fiora just killed things. Pent Physiced Hector on turn 5 and Hector attacked the boss with a Killer Axe, hitting twice. The boss attacked again on enemy phase and died.

You know, at first I thought something was weird with the RNG, because all of my units were critting ALL THE TIME with like Iron weapons. Then I realized it was because the enemies had such shitty luck stats. Silly morphs. Anyway, total massacre in this chapter, just an EXP fest again like pretty much all the survival chapters have been so far. I kept Denning alive until the last turn to abuse reinforcements. Got the chests in the middle of the map. Pent is reduced to being a staff bot, because I ran out of anima tomes for him, oops. The enemies here were just no match for any of my units.

Harken 17.81 43 24 21 19 12 18 11

Skipped 31x. Sorry Karla, you're not worth 5 turns. Maybe if you could end the chapter early.

Ch32: Victory or Death (7/160)

Lowen went north to get Fortify. Eliwood and Harken went east just because. Fiora rescued Pent (because Hector is too damn fat) and made a beeline for Limstella. Everyone else went the middle path. Nothing terribly interesting happened, Lowen got like 34083408454954 EXP from a huge mob of enemies. Pent nearly died, but not quite, and Eliwood and Harken laughed at how bad the enemies were. Hector and Fiora cleared a path for Pent through the Snipers, and he Rescued Marcus who attacked Limstella, critting once. The next turn, Marcus attacked Limstella again, leaving her at 2 HP, and Fiora finished her off with a 2 damage Javelin shot. Pent Rescued Hector and he seized. Lowen recruited Renault just beforehand.

Final Chapter: Light (7/167)

I'll do just what Radiant did and tell how each morph died.

Generic Snipers: Longbowed by Rebecca.

Uhai: Lured out and swarmed by a bunch of people.

Sage: Speared by Fiora.

Druid: Speared by Fiora.

Kenneth: Spearcritted by Fiora.

Brendan: Brave Sworded by Harken, then Lunaed by Athos.

Warrior: I don't even remember, I did it just before I had to rush to class. I think he was Speared by Marcus.

Darin: Wolf Beiled.

General: Wolf Beiled.

Ursula: Luna critted.

Jerme: Lunaed and then Speared by Marcus.

Lloyd: Annihilated by Swordslayer Bartre.

Linus: Swordslain, and then Brave Bow'd by Rebecca.

Nergal: Athos warped up, Lunaed him. Finished by Eliwood with Durandal.

Learned a couple things from this part. First of all, that Spears are fucking awesome weapons. 1-2 range, high might, and a crit bonus (that's a big deal on morphs) is just amazing. Fuck the funds rank. Same with Swordslayers vs. Linus/Lloyd, I'm not sure I've ever tried doing that but it just tore them apart. 5 turns.

Part 2, Hector and Eliwood attacked the dragon on turn 1 and got Fortified. Dragon attacked Eliwood. Athos and Hector both attacked it, and left it at literally just the right about of HP Eliwood needed to finish it off. Wow.

Final Turncount: 167 turns.

Ranks: A Tactics, A Survival, D Funds, F EXP, A Combat.

HECTOR

Great Lord 12.19 49 25 19 20 14 25 12 C Eliwood // B 124 W 77

I love Hector as a Lord. He's no Sigurd, but he's overpoweringly strong and has extremely high defense, which is great compared to people like ROY who are constantly at risk. The fact that this one was speed blessed was wonderful too. He was my boss destroyer for the first half of the game or so, since pretty much every boss until chapter 21, except Zoldam, is weak to the Wolf Beil. Absolutely excellent, even with that period of level 20 limbo.

ELIWOOD

Knight Lord 14.70 44 17 23 24 20 14 14 C Hector // B 147 W 73

Well, I gotta say, Eliwood impressed me this time through. His stats ended up pretty good all around, and he was a reliable melee unit and my only real dedicated sword user, which gave him dibs on stuff like Killing Edges. I didn't use his supports as much as I'd thought I might, but eh. Overall pretty excellent, especially after he promoted and got access to Javelins as well. Also killed Nergal and the Dragon.

MARCUS

Paladin 19.50 43 24 24 15 14 14 14 // B 155 W 89

I was surprised at how good he remained in the late game. Probably because I've never used him in Normal Mode, except for maybe my first playthrough ever which was umn... interesting. But he's everything you expect Marcus to bring to the table: earlygame dominance, lots of delicious ferrying, and sniping people using stronger weapons later.

REBECCA

Sniper 13.53 37 19 19 22 17 10 17 // B 123 W 70

I think it's been so long since I've used her that I'd forgotten how good she can be. Regardless of how bad Archers may be in normal efficient play, in a situation like this where access to characters isn't unlimited, she's actually quite great given how late I got her in the draft pick. Joins immediately with pretty bad offense, but once she starts doubling it's over. She was guaranteed 100% player phase kills with her great accuracy and the exclusive right to weapons like the Brave Bow, Longbow, and etc. A great 2nd to last pick.

LOWEN

Paladin 18.12 56 17 17 17 20 25 11 // B 232 W 74

I was a bit disappointed in this guy, the RNG just really hated him. While his stats ended up bad, he got his defense and HP, which were both excellent and I made great use of several times through the game (look at his battle:win ratio). He's like a Armor Knight on wheels, and he worked wonderfully as bait. It's a real shame his combat was just never up to par. He joins in chapter 12, though, so it's hard to complain.

BARTRE

Warrior 14.91 57 26 19 18 13 18 14 // B 131 W 78

This guy has like the rockiest start ever. Slow and relatively frail despite being a frontline unit. But again, he's there at the start, and once his speed growth overtakes his horrible base stats he's doing great. Afa's Drops on him was probably a pretty good investment. By the end of the game, he was ripping people apart like it was nothing. I don't think I've ever killed Linus and Lloyd in the Final Chapter as easily as I have with him.

FIORA

Falcoknight 17.37 50 23 25 28 12 15 21 // B 109 W 74

Until this draft, I don't think I'd ever used Fiora as my main Peg Knight. I've always used Florina, but damn, Fiora is really good too. I didn't so much use her flying utility to rescuedrop people like I did in the FE8 draft with Vanessa, there just wasn't that much need for it, but she was a wonderful combat unit with her ability to fly over terrain, and was completely invaluable in chapters like Crazed Beast where there is simply no other way to save time. And she soloed a whole room full of morphs in the final chapter, and capped 3 stats, yay shiny numbers. Utterly invaluable, might even be the MVP of this playthrough if it weren't for the fact that she joined a touch later than most.

LORD PENT

Sage 20.00 41 21 23 24 17 14 19 // B 52 W 35

Pent is awesome. Unfortunately he was the second to last person to join, but he was my only caster and his A Staves let me shave at least a handful of turns. Regrettably, I didn't get to make much use of his awesome combat, because I forgot to buy Thunder tomes... what a stupid mistake. Otherwise really great though, a worthwhile first choice.

HARKEN

Hero 19.12 45 25 21 20 12 18 12 // B 55 W 38

What a sexy guy. Even without hard mode bonuses, his stats and combat are both outstanding. Served as a boss killer while his stats were well ahead of everybody else's for a couple chapters, and was a great, self-sufficient unit all around. Unfortunately, he wasn't so hot in the Final Chapter, but that's probably mostly my fault. Overall wonderful.

KARLA

 ????

Lol.

Final Thoughts:

Overall pretty pleased with this turnout. Probably could've saved a couple turns here and there, but I think this is the around the best I could realistically do as a pretty mediocre player.

EDIT: Lol, I just realized I could've recruited Karla and beaten Radiant by exactly one turn again. Oop.

I don't know exactly what a good baseline is for NM turncounts, but I gotta say you guys have definitely been doing well on those compared to the HM turncounts I've seen in the past.

Also, it does seem to be true, more people finish NM drafts more quickly. Fair enough. :o
