And can we ban mastery skills as answers? ANYONE CAN BE HANDWAVED WITH THOSE THINGS. What good would Nihil do in a game where skills don't exist anyway? And you're the one who's saying skills should improve a character? As you didn't mention a character, I'll give Amelia Paragon, Shade and Sure Strike, so she can hopefully hit things with Javelins more and not be attacked by things. Now how about Tanya?
