For Tabletop, currently Pathfinder. I love D&D, and started with 2nd ed. 3.5 was an improvement and Pathfinder tweaked that. For Video games: Probably Baldur's Gate 2. Although the Tales series as a whole is close. Fire Emblem technically is a turned based strategy with RPG elements, but if it was considered just an RPG, it might count. There are some criticisms of the plot in episode 1 (namely, people often complain about why Qui-Gonn and co are stopping at Tatooine) that I think are dumb/a result of people not paying attention.2.
